Per MSM: Nadler/Boxer to introduce FOCA “sooner rather than later”
Weekend Extra
Recalling recent liberal attempts to pooh-pooh pro-life concerns about the rise of the phoenix FOCA (Time magazine and Washington Post), Matthew Bowman wrote this news on the Fidelis blog March 6 with great wit:
![]()
A mythical US Congressman from NY, Jerry “Loch Ness” Nadler, is going to reintroduce Barack Obama’s “mythical” Freedom of Choice Act “sooner rather than later,” according to his mythical spokesman Ilan “Sasquatch” Kayatsky. Senator “Bigfoot” Boxer is expected to follow suit-it’s a mythical “priority” for them, and for their new President.
Indeed, from STLToday.com, March 6:
The Freedom of Choice Act failed to get out of subcommittee in 2004, but its sponsor is poised to refile it now that former Senate co-sponsor Barack Obama occupies the Oval Office.
A spokesman for… Nadler… said the legislation “is among the congressman’s priorities. We expect to reintroduce it sooner rather than later.”…
Ilan Kayatsky, Nadler’s spokesman, said he anticipates that the bill’s other original sponsor, Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-CA, will introduce FOCA in the U.S. Senate. “We expect it to be more or less the same bill with some minor tweaks,” Kayatsky said.

If I can borrow a phrase from Obama’s mentor and pastor. God damn America if for their killing of the unborn. I wash my hands of them. FOCA all of em.
I pray America will be a land that serves God and protects life. And I will always love the America that is the potential to do that. But I would wish those, including my countreymen or even my family death for their own good rather then see them destroy themselves and and slaughter unborn humans. I bless them with a millstone tied around their neck and dropped to the bottom of the sea.
Whoa, sounds like both TS and Ken are off their medication again. Yet another argument for universal health care.
Yeah, Bystander. I love the irony of a pro-lifer wishing death on others…..

You might owe TS an aplology.
But thanks for reminding me.
I will stop and to take my meds.
I will pass on the Universal Health Care.
I prefer to pay my own way.

Would saying “we told you so,” be immature?
I’ll prefer to pay my own way, too. Who knows, if I ever get married and want a family, I may have to pay OOP just to have a OB-GYN doctor who **doesn’t** abort babies!
I love the writing of this article. Thanks Jill and also – I love that pic to the right. :)
So much for TELLING the truth … Re: FOCA!
Now, I personally have no problem with affordable healthcare for all. Universal healthcare, from what I know, I support, though I ought to study the matter further.
However, abortion and F.O.C.A. are not healthcare. I do not want this to pass. Republicans ought to have faith in Democrats, though. Democrats can and eventually stand for equal rights for the preborn.
I mean, this may sound odd coming from someone who doesn’t even claim a political party, but yeah, there is the glaring *typo* of slavery in the Democrats’ camp, but I don’t think that the anti-freedom lock that has taken over their party can keep its grasp on them for much longer. Democrats shot F.O.C.A. down once by accurately saying, “It’s at the bottom of our priority list right now.” And, honestly, there are more important things to deal with (off of the top of my head? Darfur, economic crisis, pygmy slavery, Bill Clinton’s still on the loose…).
This may sound naive, and you have my full permission to chastise me should I prove wrong, but I think that they’ll shoot it down again and avoid enshrining the legal ownership of another human being and, in effect, slavery as a “fundamental right.”
Well, there’s only one way to see if FOCA would be the nightmare some predict or a rather routine housekeeping bill. And, it appears, we might soon find out.
Hal, I’d rather not know…
Hal,
I do’t need it to be passed to find out. I would rather look at the bill and stop it because it allows people like you or Michelle Obama to hold fund-raisers to promote delivering babies to their heads and poling them in the skull with a scissors and sucking their brains out. You don;t have to wait until the bill passes to know the evil that would be unleashed. Maybe you don’t want to do that yourself, but then you could go to cocktail parties with your Tiller and his minions and celebrate with your friends. And you can count on losing my tax dollars cause I will not pay into a system that uses my funds to slaughter children. And FOCA all the self-loving scum who would.
Bystander and Sim,
The truly wish the peace of Jesus Christ be with you always. But I won’t won’t be joining you on your ride to hell.

Somebody ought to screen capture those for use at the next clinic bombing trial – thanks for the evidence guys.
It would be for their own good, prosecutor. No court would ever convict him!!
Prosecutor and Sim,
You’ve completely lost me. What are you talking about??
Prosecuter,
What do you do for the Christmas season? Do you celebrate with gift giving? Do you go to church? Do you thank God for the gift of Jesus. I don’t get some of you pro-aborts. Look at Obama for instance. He calls himself a Christian and so does his wfe. I can see them sitting at home all smug on Christmas and celebrating the “birth” of Jesus and then inviting their guests to a partial-birth-abortion fundraiser the following week. Doesn;t that sound schizophrenic? Celebrating your Saviour’s birth and the peace that it brought to the world and then turning around and celebrating your right to kill babies as they are being delivered. You have got to be either completely phony or completely lost to do those things. Which one is Sebellius? Which one is Obama? Which one is Pelosi? They are freaking nuts and you put them in charge.
And in case you didn;t know it. The metaphor of the millstone tied around your neck comes from Jesus himself. And I am not afraid to tell you that it is His words that condemn you. Only if the day comes when you multilate or kill somebody close to me like my daughter or my grandchild, then you’ll be subjected to the law/justice of a father’s love for his children.
So you better think again about your opposition to Parental Notification Laws.

Persecuter, when you me for my speaking and living and breathing Jesus Christ and his words and teaching it heaps holiness upon me and chases demons away…. do you ever wonder what it does for you?
persecuter, when you speak ill of me for my speaking and living and breathing Jesus Christ and his words and teaching it heaps holiness upon me and chases demons away…. do you ever wonder what it does for you?
Boxeranomics 101::
Children are sometimes punishment not only to their mother’s but to society as a whole. Destroying these unwanted children early is the kindest and most economicly stimulative way of controling their numbers and keeping them from being abused.
Woe to the man who destroys human life by harvesting it to better his own. Woe I say!! Woe, Woe, Woe :

Why the FOCA would you want to remove those protections from my children and me? FOCA would repeal Parental Notification laws and expose fathers like me to penalty for killing the scum that mutilate our children. As a persecutor you should be able to tell me why Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry have NO right to prescribe drugs to minors or perform abortions on them without paretal notification. Its FOCAing crazy.
persecuter?? speak to me. Tell me how you’ll use these words against me. Pray-tell, why it is NOT FOCAing crazy to restrict the or impede a killer from their “right” to perform abortion on a minor. WOE I say!
*crickets*
Nothing is going to overturn Roe V. Wade. The only way to make abortion illegal in the U.S. is to either have another major showdown case or an amendment. I vote for a constitutional change myself, so, while, F.O.C.A. makes me furious at all of the hatred and bigotry that it seeks to make legal, even if it is passed it would not be able to stand for very long.
But, the thing is, perhaps we ought to recognize more often that even after abortion is made illegal (my goal in life now is to live long enough to see this happen), pro-life will still have to eradicate illegal abortions. I must say, it irritates me when “pro-choice” (there’s a reason that I prefer the terms “anti-freedom” or “pro-bigotry”) supporters use backalley abortions as though it’s something positive for their movement. The fact that women died during abortions is something that is a pro-life argument. Is anyone else irritated by that?
“The fact that women died during abortions is something that is a pro-life argument. Is anyone else irritated by that? ”
Oh indeed Vannah. It’s saying:
If there is something that is illegal and people hurt themselves doing said illegal action, then that something should be legal.
Odd odd argument. God love you.
I mean, I think that this is coming from “pro-choice” supporters who assume that pro-life means “anti-legal abortions but pro-illegal abortions.” What does that even mean?
Thousands of women die annually from abortion, and, silly me, making the connection and saying, “Those poor women and children! We need to get them education and healthcare.” I guess that I should have said something more like, “Silly women! We need to get them an abortion center immediately! Forget the flipping ‘elavating their status’ and ‘peace and love’ crap.”
But, then again, abortion is totally awesome, don’tcha know? Women *totally* love it more than being considered human. It’s like candy.
