College retracts ban on distribution of pro-life magazine with graphic images
Officials at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, NY, didn’t like what pro-life student Joseph Hayon was distributing on campus, the Winter 2009/10 issue of The Advocate, produced by LiveAction.org, which is headed by courageous Lila Rose.
I have a feeling they were uncomfortable with this…
… which headed an article about the website HeresTheBlood.com, owned by LiveAction.org, and featuring this video showing some horrific images I’d not seen before (WARNING: Graphic)…

A snappy letter from the Alliance Defense Fund reminding college officials of the First Amendment resulted in a retraction.

Jill Stanek is a nurse turned speaker, columnist and blogger, a national figure in the effort to protect both preborn and postborn innocent human life.
How could any human being, after watching that video, STILL advocate for the right to do THAT to their own children?
This video should be shown everywhere it can be shown.
If by “your way” you mean no more dead or dying children, then yes.
What’s worse, the pictures, or the fact that this happens legally every day?
Our way is to show you the truth so this can stop. IF we can’t bear to look at this how can we allow this to happen while we go about our everyday life.
The only way those dead or dying children can speak is with our voices and those pictures. These may be horrible photographs, but it would be far worse for us not to use them.

Do you realize how confused you sound? You’re distressed that we use graphic imagery to bring the horrible injustice of abortion to your attention. Yet you’re not distressed that these brutal attacks on innocent children occur almost 4000 times per day in the US?
You don’t like the message, or the messengers, but dismembering and mutilating innocent children alive is fine with you?

Oh, yes. Murder is so much nicer when it’s not messy. Manson didn’t get put in prison for murder, it’s just because he left so many pesky stains behind.
Elisabeth – my point is – death penalty opponents for years didn’t want the death penalty – but their message was that it was cruel, and they pulled out pictures of botched executions (electrocution was the name of the game, and occasionally people caught on fire or bled out pretty bad).
The anti DP folks really meant to say executions were bad however they were done, but instead of making it a moral issue, they made it an issue of cruelty.
So the pro DP folks built a better death penalty – the three drug cocktail that looks much more peaceful.
So yes – you are 100% right – the message of those signs is that murder is messy – and a proper response to that kind of message (not a moral argument on abortion) it to have abortions as early as possible to avoid the mess.

You are correct in the fact that some students/faculty were offended when I gave out the pro-life newsletters. People complained and the college took action.
However, the college had a policy for more than 23 years that no student could give out ANY literature. If I were to give a liberal newsletter the college would have stopped me.
This 23+ year old policy of silencing all political speech is all part of a greater liberal agenda.
Professors at the college politicize our education, but students that have real moral values have no place to express their opinion.

The entrance exams at Kingsborough Community College are politicized as well, where every student must support an underlying reasoning in their writing exams… even if they don’t believe in it.

Kingsborough also forces every student without exception to take a health class that includes sexual topics… even if it is against their religious beliefs.
College — 3
Students — 0
Kingsborough encourages professors to assist students in club events where a “Hate” Lecture promoting homosexual activity has more than 200 students in attendance, but when a student wants to have a lecture against gay-marriage the college forces the faculty advisor to resign, changes the date of the lecture without consent of the student, and moves the room to a far location of the campus, thus forcing the conservative minded student to cancel the event.
