Top 10 enemies the pro-abortion Left fears
The NewsRealBlog has posted a list of the “Top Ten Enemies the Pro-Abortion Left Fears.”
As in the last Top 10 list, I barely edged in but am honored for the inclusion (and am adding this to my bio!).
I’m not sure “fears” is the right word. Maybe “hates”? And I’m not sure how NRB devised the list, which appears to be a group effort.
Nevertheless, it’s interesting. The only one I would question is Sekulow. He’s a good lawyer, but there are many good lawyers who exclusively focus on the Life issue, which he does not…
10. Jill Stanek, RN and blogger
9. Father Frank Pavone, Director of Priests for Life
8. Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice
7. John Boehner, Speaker of the House (pictured above with Dr. Yoest, #6 on list)
6. Dr. Charmaine Yoest, President and CEO of Americans United for Life
5. Marjorie Dannenfelser, Founder and President of Susan B. Anthony List
4. Lila Rose, President of LiveAction.org
3. Crisis Pregnancy Centers
2. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
1. Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood director; author of unPlanned
Cooper wrote:
Now that conservatives are gaining some power in Washington, the battle over abortion is being reignited. Pro-lifers could do very little to stop the pro-choice forces while so-called liberals controlled nearly every level of government. But times have changed. And that means those who fight for the unborn are even more dangerous to the pro-abortion Left. Here are a list of their top 10 enemies.
It is important to note that this list is meant to be for today and not all time. It is a look at the current top ten enemies of the pro-abortion Left. There are other huge leaders in the history of the pro-life movement that won’t be found here. (For a list of 30 leaders in the first 30 years of pro-life movement go here.) Our list is a revelation of those most likely found right now on the dart boards of groups like Planned Parenthood and NARAL.
Depending on your familiarity with the pro-lifers, the names may be enlightening. One thing that might surprise you about this top 10 is that there are only 3 men included. Usually when the Pro-Abortion left argues their case to the American people, they present the battle as men versus women. The spin is that evil men are keeping women from their reproductive rights. But in reality the top enemies of the pro-choice groups are primarily women. And that is because, with some exceptions, women are the key leaders of the pro-life movement.
I love that so many women are considered leaders of the pro-life movement. Those listed with me are savvy, smart, and committed. I’m proud of them all.
Who would you include on such a list?
Congratulations! Just think how far you have come since being fired!

3. Crisis Pregnancy Centers
Wow, this one speaks volumes. This number 3 is more proof than ever that pro-choice means “Abortion uber alles!” The anti-lifers don’t care about women, don’t care about reproduction, and want birth prevented whenever and wherever possible. They are a sick group. We must renew our prayers for healing for anti-lifers all over our world.

Way to go Jill! Making this list is quite the validation for all your hard work.
I’m with you Ninek, CPC’s? “Pro-choice” is such a lie.
I like Joe’s terminology, they are all out promoters of prenatal homocide.

Who would I include? Why, the obvious;
The unborn child.

Actually, it’s “prenatal homicide”, but yes they are and we need to do everything that we can to expose the lies and fallacies of the abortionists. We especially need to counter their twisting and distorting of the language. This is why I favor the use of plain, direct, strong language that cuts right through abortionist drivel and doublespeak and euphemisms.
So, instead of using the dry clinical term “abortion”, say:
prenatal homicide
abortion crime
criminal abortion
killing human beings in the unborn stage
Use any expression that shows we are talking about killing innocent human beings and that such killing is a violent and lethal crime against such human beings.
I don’t think we can win this struggle to end prenatal homicide until we convince large numbers of people that this killing of human beings is a violation of rights and therefore a crime.

Jill, keep up the good work! I am glad to see that only three of the top ten are men. I don’t have anything against men, of course, but PC’ers always try to act like the only people against abortion in this country are the e-vell, right-wing white men. I’m also pleased to see Alveda King on the list.
It’s really, really sad that the CPC’s are on the list. Like I said, we’re d*mned if we do and d*mned if we don’t. I donate to a CPC, Several Sources, in NJ and I showed my pro-abortion sister (the pharmacist who gleefully dispenses Plan B) a photo of a precious baby whose mother was helped by them. She didn’t have anything to say.

Congratulations, Jill! Such an honor.

I was delighted to not only see your name on there, Jill, but also Fr. Frank Pavone. Great list.
Y’all are such inspirations to the rest of us pro-lifers. Keep up the good work!

They ought to make T-shirts that say: “Abortion Foe”. I’d wear one.
Congrats to the top ten foes!

Thanks for posting my blog to your site. I consider that an honor.
To your commenters: All top ten lists are debatable and imperfect. Even though Jill Stanek is only 10th on the list, she was the first name I thought of.
I hope all your readers read the whole blog and express their thoughts on it.

Sorry, number 3 is such a stinker, I wouldn’t register on his page if it was the last blog on the interwebs. Helping women who want to have their babies is the enemy? Forget about it. **waves hand down** Shunned.

ninek: You misunderstand. I don’t think CPCs are the enemy. Pro-abort folks do. I financially give to CPCs. It’s meant to be an honor to be on this list.

Paul, I took you up on your invitation and read all your bios of the top 10. Great work!! Just chuckled when I read about your two daughters and female cat. I can really relate, as my husband and I await the birth of our fourth boy. No girls yet. Legos and dirt as far as the eye can see…
I agree with Jill that women factored strongly in this list. They all had one thing in common- encounters with abortion that sprung them into action. Makes me want to do so much more!

Mary Ann, maybe your boys and my girls will meet one day. Like in their 30s:)
My life is princesses and baby dolls as far as the eye can see.

Joan:
You’re a proponent of prenatal homicide which has killed one billion (1,000,000,000) human beings around the world in the last twenty years and you’re actually accusing other people of being “willing to use violence”?
That is completely pathetic.
Why don’t you stop being part of a vicious movement which wages biological war against helpless children before you come here and start lecturing other people about “violence”?

Paul, well blow me down! Thank goodness! **waves hand back up like Dwight Shroot** Unshunned! Lol!!

Didn’t MLK, Jr. receive an award from Planned Parenthood?
“Why don’t you stop being part of a vicious movement which wages biological war against helpless children”
Here’s the thing, not everybody believes that this is a “war” against children. But keep pushing the war metaphor and we’ll have more abortion doctor murders – oh right, that’s just “justifiable homicide.” Right?
“ The anti-lifers don’t care about women, don’t care about reproduction, and want birth prevented whenever and wherever possible.”
Actually we do care about reproduction as in we care that pregnancy is planned and wanted. We do care about poor women for whom an additional mouth to feed would maintain her in poverty.
And BTW, who is behind the “Newsreal” blog and why should anybody care about it?

BTW, it looks like the alleged murderer of the folks in Arizona(not a word from Jill about prayers and such) is anti-abortion. I guess he’s pro-life.

I would have put Sarah Palin on it – Leftist pro-choicers hate that she even has a son with Down syndrome, not to mention the fact that he hasn’t “held her back” and clearly enjoys life and his family. Actually, I would have put Bristol and Sarah together. Leftist pro-choicers hate Bristol because she had a baby as a teenager, wasn’t spurned by her family (they love that whole “conservatives-disown-unwed-pregnant-daughters” narrative), and actually seems to enjoy her life.

“Leftist pro-choicers hate Bristol because she had a baby as a teenager”
Nice bit of projection but we really just don’t care what she did. And regarding Palin’s choice to have a Down syndrome child – we rejoice at her choice – choice being the operative word here.

Read the comments before yours. You’ll find out “who’s behind it” and why people do and should care about it.
Actually we do care about reproduction as in we care that pregnancy is planned and wanted. We do care about poor women for whom an additional mouth to feed would maintain her in poverty.
And here we get some of the heart of the matter. Y’all only want “planned” pregnancy. If it’s a surprise pregnancy (unplanned) then it’s not welcome. Only things that are planned are allowed (hey I’m going by what YOU posted).
Well life doesn’t always go the way you planned. Doesn’t mean you abort the unplanned pregnancy just because it’s not a part of “the plan” a person has for themselves.
My son was “planned” (as much as you can plan anything) I was STILL surprised when I got that “Pregnant” on my digital EPT pregnancy test! You could’ve knocked me over with a feather. But I love that “planned-but-unplanned” person I gave birth to with all my heart. I’m blest to have that “planned-but-unplanned” being in my life.
Not every thing/pregnancy/birth experience that’s “planned” is actually “planned”. I certainly didn’t PLAN to have a triage nurse who didn’t know the meaning of the word ”compassion” or an OB/GYN who forgot to work on his bedside manner. But in spite of those unplanned things, I still did all right. I still made it through. And I got a great source of joy out of the deal–a great person to call me Mom!

Abraham Lincoln was born poor. Didn’t he do his homework on the back of a shovel with a piece of coal? Are you suggesting he was better off dead? Do you consider his assassin to be a late term abortionist?
Targeting a group of people (poor, or preborn, or unwanted, or poor-unwanted-preborn) for wholesale slaughter is called GENOCIDE. Last time I checked, the preborn were unable to defend themselves. I guess that makes them easy prey for you, right? And don’t even try that ‘abortion doctor murders’ crock here. We’ve all commented plenty of times that murder is wrong. You are grasping at straws, CC. You’ve commented on this site long enough to know better. When are you going to learn some new rhetoric?

Jill,
glad to become aware of your site and cause which I am passionate about. Not sure I would say you don’t agree with Jay Sekulow making the top 10. He’s well known, on fox news often now and I know no other person as capable of fighting injustice and for the right things better than Jay. He can get a million signatures for something in a minute. I’d say that’s why they fear him even though he does not focus just on abortion. Keep up the great work and God Bless!

My favorite quote is that an unplanned pregnancy can bring unplanned joy.
And someone wants that child….maybe a childless couple who has been unable to conceive their own child? Maybe an family who wants to expand their family through adoption? Perhaps an open minded family who is willing to adopt a child with Downs or Cerebral Palsy?
There are people out there who WANT these children, who WANT to give them love, but every abortion denies them that.

Nice of you to jump on the Exploitation Bandwagon. It appears that the young man in question is suffering from mental illness, and as such, his political views are the least of his problems. I am relieved that the young man is not also dead, as several famous gunmen in the news over the years were not able to be apprehended alive. This will enable doctors to evaluate him, and for him to speak on his own behalf, rather than by the silence of death, allow every Tom, Dick, and Mary to speculate on his motives. What if it turned out he had a brain tumor or some other disease? In that case, his political views would be utterly beside the point.

NRB is run by David Horowitz and it is in the top 25 conservative blogs online. Gets more readers than Hannity’s site for example. Thanks for asking:)

I’m surprised Sarah Palin wasn’t honored with a place on the list.
Did any of you pro-abort types see what Sarah Palin wrote on Facebook yesterday? She said she and her family are praying for the victims of the shooting in Arizona.
We know the guy who did it was a nutjob. We don’t know what his politics are, as his manifesto is rambling and not tied to any one political ideology. We have no clue what he thinks of Sarah Palin, and no clue what he thinks of abortion. But somehow the pro-abort, anti-Palin crowd wants us to believe that Sarah Palin and the pro-life movement is at fault; that this is what motivated the guy.
Oh well, never let a good tragedy go unexploited when it can be used to slander those who disagree with you.

Father Pavone made the list but the Catholic Church in it’s entirety should definitely make any list of a pro-abort’s biggest enemies. Jill, what ever happened to that pro-abort weasel of a priest on the South Side of Chicago? Is he still allowed to speak in a church somewhere?

I am not sure the Catholic Church should be on the list. The Church has not begun to do what it could for the unborn. The Church could go all-out to stop the killing of unborn children and make a huge difference, but it has not.
If the Church really wanted to stop prenatal homicide, it could do the following:
-excommunicate all “Catholic” abortionist politicians and demand that they publicly repent of their sins and crimes.
-urge all Catholic and other voters to vote only pro-life.
– have every priest in every parish preach against the killing of the unborn every Sunday
-condemn the killing of unborn children, urge all people in the industry to leave, urge all Catholics never to kill their unborn children.
-make sure all young Catholics know that killing an unborn child is a mortal sin and a crime according to Catholic moral teaching and that unborn children are legitimate real human beings, not just “blobs” or “fetuses”.
-demand that all politicians, Catholic and otherwise, vote to restore legal protection for the unborn.
If the Church did all this, I think we would make real progress on stopping the crime of prenatal homicide. Unfortunately, the Church today does essentially none of these things and this is one of the reasons that we have so many people, including “Catholics”, killing their unborn children.

I’ve noticed how much the liberal loonies hate Palin more and more. Joy Behar cannot get through her show without bashing Sarah or Bristol. Jealous much?? When her guests disagree, she cops an attitude. I’m also glad when the troops booed Kathy Griffin for her rant on Bristol. Who does she think SHE is???

I no longer attend the Catholic Church. You cannot be Catholic and Pro-Choice!

But keep up the good work Joy. You only make her more popular when you mention her. You only wish you had half the popularity Palin does!!!

Joe,
if you read the catholic church’s doctrine and their catchism on the matter you would know they are 100% pro-life.
-excommunicate all “Catholic” abortionist politicians and demand that they publicly repent of their sins and crimes.
I thnk they should all be refused communion and ostricized publicly. If they persist in promoting abortion after that then I agree with you that excommunication ahould be considered.
-urge all Catholic and other voters to vote only pro-life.
They already do this.
– have every priest in every parish preach against the killing of the unborn every Sunday
That would be good. I wish they would unequivocably pray intentions for the unborn at EVERY mass instead of just some masses.
-condemn the killing of unborn children, urge all people in the industry to leave, urge all Catholics never to kill their unborn children.
They do this already.
-make sure all young Catholics know that killing an unborn child is a mortal sin and a crime according to Catholic moral teaching and that unborn children are legitimate real human beings, not just “blobs” or “fetuses”.
They do this.
-demand that all politicians, Catholic and otherwise, vote to restore legal protection for the unborn.
They do this.

Joe, since you’re not a practicing Buddhist, why don’t you list all the ways that the Dalai Lama can take up the fight against abortion? You don’t want to be a member of the Catholic church, so why single it out? Why not the ‘vegetarian, don’t kill migrating souls’ Buddhists? I think you’re missing something.
(Although my ability to sense irony or sarcasm in others on the web is broken, it has not diminished my own use of it, lol!) My point is Joe, that you’re a bit like a dog with a bone. Join us or stop telling Catholics what to do. You’re like a non-voter complaining about local politicians. Don’t like what’s going on? Then be the agent of change yourself. Many other churches are blatantly pro-abortion. Why are you letting all of them off the hook?

ninek,
of those who are given much, much is expected. Joe is right to have greater expectations from the catholic church. I take his admonishment with humility and thankfullness and appreciaition, Dialogue is what can bring us together and his suggestions are all valid even if he fails to realize we already do many of these things. I am glad he speaks out about more that we can do because we have an opportunity to quell any misgivings about our standing as the enemy of pro-aborts.
Joe, have you ever read the section in the catholic catechism on unborn human life?

He is still at the pulpit at St Sabina’s on the south side of Chicago. He should be defrocked.

A lot of priests do preach (maybe not every Sunday, but OFTEN) against abortion. I’ve heard (out of the two parishes I have and do attend) talk about this more than once.
The problem isn’t that it isn’t happening, the problem is, that no matter its clout or its size, the Catholic Church cannot CONTROL what its members do. There are those who profess to be Catholic who have done things that are blantly against the Catholic Church–maybe not abortion, but other things (although abortion is there). There are those who say “I’m Catholic, but I don’t agree with everything the Church says.” The Church has made its stance known quite often. As far as I can see, they KEEP making that stance known. During the Christmas Season EWTN did a lot about abortion and being pro-life. I don’t watch it all day every day, so I don’t know what they’re doing all the time now, but I did see a lot of pro-life talk during the Christmas Season.
Fullness of Truth (A Catholic Organization that holds confernces and sells Catholic items) had a whole Conference dedicated to the pro-life movement (I think it should’ve been held at a different time because it was right near Thanksgiving, but perhaps that was when they could schedule everything). Abby Johnson was one of the speakers. Here’s the link: http://www.fullnessoftruth.org/HOU10.htm

Why is Jay Sekulow on the list? Because he’s in the business of keeping pro-life health professionals in business. He’s got a group of lawyers who specialize in that, and they have been very effective.
If pro-life health professionals are driven out, nothing stands in the way of abortion coercion for women.
The Alliance Defense fund is also in that business, and has just done some quick work to help “reform” the Vanderbilt school of nursing. Click on my blog (under my nic) for the quick version, in two short posts from Weds. and Thurs. WND also covered it.
