- Saskatchewan’s College of Physicians and Surgeons recently revised guidelines say that pro-life doctors must refer patients seeking abortions to another physician:
The new introduction to the guideline is much clearer, saying doctors who won’t perform the abortion must tell the patient up-front and refer them to another physician who will give them all the tools they need to make an informed decision.
“Any physician who is unable to be involved in the further care and management of any patient when termination of the pregnancy might be contemplated should inform the patient and make an expeditious referral to another available physician,” the preamble reads.
- Planned Parenthood’s Stuart Schear doesn’t have much to say about Live Action’s tapes. At least he’s staying on message, regardless of how inaccurate that message is:One such video resulted in the firing of a PP employee in New Jersey. But in all other cases, the videos are “heavily edited and manipulated,” said PP spokesman Stuart Schear.
- A study has shown the benefits of operating on unborn children with spina bifida while they’re still in the womb:
A new study in the New England Journal of Medicine says that if a baby is operated on while still in the uterus, the most serious complications of the worst form of spina bifida, myelomeningocele, can be lessened.
A clinical trial of 158 women found that brain malformations were reversed in one-third of the fetuses and that almost half the babies could eventually walk without crutches.

Planned Parenthood is now just apparently telling lies and hoping the media will buy it. Stuart Schear said that “the organization (Live Action) is not credible and their tapes cannot be trusted”. This is simply an assertion with no basis in fact. He is hoping that the media will repeat his lines (which they probably will).
This is the dishonest way that PP plans to beat the rap.
PP spokesweasel Stuart Schear would make a great poster boy for Predatory Pedaphiles.
Every time PP trots Schear out to speak on behalf of their ethically bereft enterprise, his quissling presence and wimpy vocals communicate a very different message from the one they intend.
When I hear Schears voice I think of ‘Wormwood’ from C. S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters’.
I find it odd that the Saskatchewan’s College of Physicians and Surgeons demands physicians who will not execute a pre-natal child ”must tell the patient up-front and refer them to another physician who will give them all the tools they need to make an informed decision.”
Why is the conscientious physician prevented from giving the patient ‘all the tools they need to make an informed decision’?
Just because a surgeon would refuse to amputate a patient’s healthy leg would in no way disqualify him from giving the patient ‘all the tools they need to make an informed decision’.
Oh yeah, silly me.
We’re talking about pre-natal homicide.
All the ‘calculus’ has changed.
Nothing of reason and logic pertain in the alternate reality that immediately manifests when the word ‘abortion’ is spoken or written.
I love the story about the physician who was being pressured by one of his patients to end her pregnancy [kill her pre-natal child]. The lady was persisting and would not take ‘No’ for an answer.
So the physician excused himself from the room for a moment and returned with a baseball bat, offerred it to the lady and suggested she wait til her baby was birthed and bash it’s brains out with her own two hands.
Sensitivity is a two way street.
These “physicians” and “surgeons” would make old Hippocrates turn over in his grave.
King Herod, however, might sympathize.
This is so goofy. Most doctors aren’t trained to do abortions and probably tell patients that directly. Then, they can give a patient who is considering an abortion lots of information like a detailed look at her ultrasound and brochures from adoption agencies and CPC’s and counseling centers. Then they can tell her about complications from abortions etc. Finally they tell her that if she absolute must kill her baby, the abortionists are listed in the yellow pages. I mean, come on, she found the first doctor, she can find another.
