Lunch Break: Brad & Angelina reconsider remarriage?

by LauraLoo

Having long held the position that “Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able,” could Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie be having a change of heart?

“The kids ask about marriage. It’s meaning more and more to them,” the Tree of Life star and father of six tells USA Weekend. “So it’s something we’ve got to look at.”

  1. Of course they never meant everyone should have that right. I’m sure they only want to water down the meaning of “marriage” far enough to please their Hollywood clique. Otherwise, they’re just as close-minded as the rest of us paeons.

  2. I agree with them. You can’t have it both ways. Marriage is a religious institution or it is a government approved union of two people. Which is it? This is the dumbest argument in the world. How could two gay people getting married in anyway affect anyone else?
My wife and I have been together a very long time. We have a 17yo daughter. Now according to the government and our tax returns we are common law married but we never actually got married. So, how can marriage be scared when the government can force it on people who never agreed to it?
I agree with Brad and Jen, I will get married when gays can also marry in this Christian overrun country, until then it is living in sin for me.
This whole issue is simply Christians trying to retain some of the strangle hold they have on our government and thru it continue to control all the rest of us. There is nothing sacred about marriage other than the commitment between two people that is held by those two people. Other than that it is nobody’s business who you marry.

  3. I wanted to get married to a kindergartener when I was in first grade.
Will this have to be legal before Brad, Angie, Biggz, and Mrs. Darklighter can get married too?
Will it be legal for my cats to get married?  I’m hoping they will fight less then.
I have always wanted to have a wife–someone to do my cooking and cleaning for me.  Do you think I could have a wife too?  Will the government be providing one due to my desire to have a wife, or does my inability to find a wife on my own mean that I can’t get married?
Also, I would like to start a business where I marry illegal immigrants so that they can get green cards.  I presume legislation allowing anyone to marry whoever they want will make this business plan viable.
