- The National Catholic Register features an interview with Prof. Michael J. New on the far-reaching effects of state level pro-life legislation.
- Generations for Life posts the text of an excellent persuasive speech on euthanasia a GFL college student, examining the “slippery slope” of a society which embraces the culture of death. In the Netherlands, where euthanasia is normalized, the post disturbingly states, “over 10k citizens carry ‘do not euthanize me’ cards as a safeguard in the event they are taken to a hospital.”
- Live Action points out the UK media are more willing to show photos of preborn humans, showing accurate fetal and embryonic development (like the photo at left of a 6 week embryo from a BBC story). Why are US media outlets unwilling to do the same?
- The Culture Vulture shows the “Monty Python“-esque situation of the Abortion Supervisory Committee in New Zealand, which has decided it won’t actually supervise abortion providers to make sure they are following NZ law. It truly would be funny if it weren’t so unbelievable.
- The FRC Blog reports scientists at Stanford have successfully turned human skin cells into functioning nerve cells.
- MN Citizens Concerned for Life discusses the two types of assisted suicide and why both are wrong in light of human equality.
- Euthanasia Prevention Coalition highlights the case of Canadian nurse William Melchert-Dinkel, who preyed on suicide-vulnerable, depressed individuals in online chat rooms, convincing at least 2 young people to commit suicide. This “suicide voyeur” was given an extremely light jail sentence and is appealing it on the grounds of free speech.
- Parenting Freedom finds the hypocrisy in an article about the banning of children’s kickball games, which are deemed dangerous – but it’s acceptable to give those same young children condoms to engage in sex.

Great links as always! I accepted the foolish excuse that having an early abortion is no big deal since the fetus is not developed yet. Abortion clinic staff pointed out lots of women miscarry early in the pregnancy anyway. I aborted my child at 6 1/2 weeks gestation, and seeing pictures of a 6-week-old fetus drives it home that abortion is wrong no matter how far along the pregnancy is. It is amazing how much development there is at just 6 weeks. Such pictures did not exist when I had my abortion. I looked. So, why does the US media not show this?
Ironically, I found Jill’s website when I was consumed with guilt and regret. Bethany, I believe that is her name, posted a picture of the 6-week-old preborn baby she miscarried, and there was indisputable evidence of what I truly lost. More information about embryonic and fetal development needs to be easily obtainable, with pictures. It confirms how precious human life is early on.
You were deceived by others in the abortion industry. I hope you have found healing. You have a testimony as many of us do. Welcome to educating others to the truth.
My friend started a ministry http://www.decisonschoicesandoptions.org that goes into high schools(public and private) and give facts about the three options a teen has once she becomes pregnant. At this point they choose parenting, abortion and adoption is hardly on the radar screen due to misinformation about adoption. She sticks to facts not opinion and her sources are impeccable. When she passes around the fetal models, even the boys get it…it’s a baby….how can you tear this apart.
Hi RCH,
Thank you for sharing your story. Bethany’s pictures of Blessing have indeed helped many mothers understand what their babies looked like.
I am post abortive as well and would love to talk with you!!
God bless you!

What should we think in regards to William Melchert-Dinkel? His behaviour, as described in the post, was contemptible and vile. Certainly his counsel was wicked and satanic. Certainly God will hold him accountable for his sins. But did he do anything illegal? And can–and, therefore, should–his speech be illegal, even if it currently isn’t?
When the civil government begins to regulate speech and thought, it begins to decide arbitrarily. Its power must be limited; every human agent of justice is fallible.
There are other ways to punish and restrict Mr. Melchert-Dinkel. The source for this post’s piece about him calls him a “former’ nurse. That’s good. If he still was a nurse, his hospital should immediately fire him. Also ostracize him, as in this blog. And seek to bring him to the Christ, who offers life to all who want it.
