Pregnancy more serious than “ordering a pizza”
Pregnancy should not be the same as ordering a pizza.
America is accustomed to having options, which is great, but a line needs to be drawn somewhere.
… IVF patients… should sign a contract ahead of time agreeing they will have both babies and give one up for adoption if they do not want both. There are other options, and they are positive.

But who sends back extra pizza if they give you double for free?
Unfortunately, instead of sharing the extra pizza with someone who’s hungry, anti-adoption proponents would recommend just throwing away the extra pizza in the trash.
Interesting concept, but not enforceable. If a woman signed such an agreement then changed her mind no judge would tell her she couldn’t reduce if she wanted to. I think the problem is IVF. period. IVF treats children as commodities to be created and bought not as human beings with eternal souls.
is this the same procedure Kate +8 had and octomom?
i give Kate and Nadia credit for not downsizing with abortion . did you guys know Kate was a labor and delivery nurse?
no, I think Kate +8 had IUI which is different. Octomom had IVF.
Kate from ‘Kate plus Eight’ was on fertility drugs. Nadia, yes, she had IVF.
Pregnancy more serious than “ordering a pizza”
Well, yeah, do agree with that.
well, on the positive side, we know how much a baby can be worth, right? 10 to 50 thousand dollars. that’s a starting place for asking – career or babies first, right?
As a woman who is struggling to have a child, I know I would do almost anything to have one. If that means using ivf to implant multiple embryos and reducing if too many took, I would do it. It is not safe for a woman to carry so many fetuses to term. Let the women pregnant with multiples and their doctors make the decision that is best for them.
Ari: well, on the positive side, we know how much a baby can be worth, right? 10 to 50 thousand dollars.
So, that’s hundreds, even thousands, of pizzas.
BB, as a woman who wanted a second child for many years let me first say I feel your pain and I am sorry for you. But when you say you would do anything to “have one” and then state that that anything includes creating and destroying your own children… do you not see how that is wrong? You are so desperate for one baby that you would kill other babies in the process. EACH child is a precious life deserving of protection. Part of being a parent is acting responsibly including before conception!
Sydney- I wouldn’t be killing babies. If anything, I would be killing a fetus. I am acting responsibly. I am doing my best to bring one, maybe two, children into a loving family. Having more children then we are able to support would be irresponsible.
Fetal humans are living human beings, and those living human beings are your biological children if you happen to be pregnant with them (exception being surrogates). You would be bringing them in the world just to kill them. That is not a responsible action. Bringing two children into a loving family is little consolation to those chldren who would be killed.
BB, what do you think a fetus IS? A fetus IS A BABY.
I was a zygote, a fetus, a baby, a toddler, a teenager, a young adult, etc. I would not like to be killed while I was labelled with any of those monikers, thank you very much.
How is it responsible to create more human life than you can carry and then destroy it? Seems very selfish to me. I understand the desire to carry and birth a baby but at what cost? Those fetuses you are so intent on destroying BB, ARE your biological children!
i remember when Kate was being ripped. to shreds for putting her kids on TV. talk show hostess Meredith Vierra finally spoke up and asked the viewers”what do you want her to do?” “go back to work as a nurse?” “lay off her please!”
sure nursing is good money but it’s not enough to support 8 kids. most of this is coming from the rabid pro aborts. if Kate had aborted all but 2 they would have put a sock in it. and btw Kate did have a college degree but the pro aborts wont give her any credit
they will just continue to bash her because she exercised her right to choose not to abort.
BB, there are lots of children available for adoption. Have you considered that route? That is a wonderful option, for parents who want children AND children who need homes.

:: sticks tongue out at Heather ::
Bobbi Mcaughey gave birth to SEVEN babies and didn’t “reduce” any of them. Nadia Sulman carried EIGHT. If they can carry that many, it can be done, so there’s really no excuse to “reduce the pregnancy”….to KILL any of your own babies, that is. When it comes to explaining to your child/children that you killed one or more of their siblings, kids don’t CARE about the “reason”…all they think is “it could have been ME” and “I had more brothers/sisters, but they’re not here anymore”.
I really can’t understand your “logic”, BB. Babies are NOT disposable. You don’t just “pick and choose” which ones get to live and which ones die.
I would give anything to have another child…PERIOD.
h(eather),
I agree about Kate. I’ve always liked her.

Reading this makes my heart ache.
One of the things that was hard for me to adjust to with motherhood is that you are called to be selfless 100% of the time, especially when the children are young. Giving up sleep was one of the things I found the hardest.
When I read your statement above I see what you want BB, but what about your child/children? When you say “Let the women pregnant with multiples and their doctors make the decision that is best for them” who is the “them”? Any doctor that treats a pregnant woman has more than one patient, both mother and child. How is it best for any unborn child to be killed?
You said “I would do almost anything to have one”. I wonder if you realize that with your full statement you’ve said you are willing to kill to have a child. And the one you’re willing to kill is also your child. That is sad beyond my ability to express.
Pamela, I remember Bobbi saying something when interviewed and asked if they had been pressured to or considered “Selective reduction” and I think her answer or her husbands answer was something like “we would have lost Kenny Jr” who they called Hercules, because he helped ‘hold the others up in the womb’.
Becky Dilley had 6 kids (sextuplets), She didn’t “Reduce” from 6 to “more manageable” either.
The difference though, between these two families and octomom, sadly, is that these couples are MARRIED and their children weren’t created in a laboratory. IIRC, both mothers were on fertility drugs. Both of the other families are also Christian.
I’m sure BB shows her ultrasound and says “here’s a picture of my product of conception” and makes her friends throw her a fetus shower. In the name of consistency and all that.
And when a baby is born, many a man hands out cigars, saying, “I became a father today..”
