- The Unborn Voice shares a nursing research paper on the types of coping that can result from the emotional aftermath of abortion.
- ProLifeBlogs links to a post from Patheos on the great year the abortion industry had in 2009, and points out that America has had “40 years of sex ed classes teaching kids about safe sex and contraceptives to eliminate and reduce unplanned pregnancies.” How that’s working out for you?
- Mommy Life bemoans the introduction of a new test for pregnant women to detect Down syndrome in preborn children. Currently the diagnosis is made following an amniocentesis which is intrusive and includes a risk of miscarriage. It is reported that only 2% of the pregnant women will opt for the test but 92% of the tested women with a positive diagnosis choose abortion.
- Generations for Life writes about the Carney brothers (pictured left), ages 3 to 9, who decided to give away their Halloween stash in exchange for donations to Pro-Life Action League. They raised over $350.
- Abstinence Clearinghouse discusses a recent episode of Glee – which airs in primetime – depicting the first sexual encounter of two teenage couples, one straight and one gay. In the interest of pushing the envelope and keeping up with their reputation of being edgy they completely disregard the legitimate research showing that “sexually active teens are less likely to be happy, more likely to be depressed, and more likely to attempt suicide.”
- LaShawn Barber has a detailed profile of Ryan Bomberger of The Radiance Foundation. Ryan was conceived in rape, adopted at birth, and is now an adoptive father.
- Stacy at Accepting Abundance continues her investigative work on the advertisements of abortion clinics – ads for gentle abortions, no memories, immediate recovery, no disturbing vacuuming sounds, and five minute procedures. In this post, Stacy highlights clinics advertising $50 savings coupons for Sundays only, and those offering “holistic abortions” (whatever that is) along with medical abortions up to 24 weeks in which the intact preborn baby can be delivered so you can see, hold and say goodbye privately – after you pay for that child’s death.

Sorry, but what the HELL is a holistic abortion?
Where they don’t take the baby apart piece by piece?
Essential oils, low lighting, relaxing music, beautiful posters on the ceiling, calming paint colors, plants, quiet, soothing voices, pay no attention to that abortionist=HOLISTIC
Still killing for profit.
Carla, that might be the sickest thing I’ve ever heard of. Spa Day at Planned Parenthood.
So you’re going to say goodbye to your baby AFTER you pay someone to kill him? These people are monsters.
Holistic abortion – “natural, gentle, not clinical, protects the mind, body and soul of the woman” is how it was explained to me. Still absolutely no mention of the child who certainly isn’t having a natural, gentle experience. :(

“protects the mind, body and soul of the woman”.
How exactly do they do THAT? Whomever explained it to you Jack..
did they explain that part?
Oh, they just babble on about a “non-clinical” environment and “caring for the emotional AND physical effects of ending an unintended pregnancy” and all. Which doesn’t make sense to me, because if it were a “simple procedure” like they claim, why would they need to make it easier? I didn’t need emotional support when I got my wisdom teeth removed, one thing they love comparing abortion too. And plus, these people still claim that abortion doesn’t have emotional consequences, so I take what they say with a very large grain of salt.
I had propofol 2 weeks ago during an oral sugery thing. Nice, but no essential oils and no music. WTH?
Gees, you complain about how clinical and uncaring abortion providers are and then when they try to provide a nicer ambience you still complain.
“Still killing for profit.” – where does the profit go Carla? Are there shareholders? Or a group of owners? Do tell.
Reality, maybe it’s the fact that they kill CHILDREN that makes them unfeeling. A little patchouli and some relaxation music? That doesn’t change that fact.
Reality, abortion providers take home a paycheck. They get paid for killing. That’s called PROFIT.
The amount of time you put into defending killers and killing and the goodness of killing…..yikes.
“abortion providers take home a paycheck. They get paid for killing. That’s called PROFIT” – no it’s not, it’s called salary or wage.
Profit is what’s left over after all the costs of running a business, including employee salaries and other costs, are covered.
I’ve worked in the not-for-profit employment services sector and when a ‘profit’ was made it was ploughed back into improving the operations of the business and the services it provided.
What I defend are womens’ rights, including reproductive choices.
Please don’t do me any favors. I don’t need you to fight for the “right” to kill my children. No woman does. You help to lessen us as a whole. We are so much better than killing our children.
I’ll be “complaining” until the killing stops.
Deal with it, Reality.
“Happy Rainbow Unicorn Chai Tea Latte Abortion Day Spa, how may I help you?”
“Yes, we can gently empty your uterine contents today at 2pm. See you then!!”
A salary comes from profits, Reality. sigh.
You only defend some women’s rights. And so we continue the sentence. Right to do what?
KILL. Without restriction, without impunity, without conscience, but with aromatherapy!
Classy.
Reality, ever heard of Carol Everett? She ran a chain of abortion clinics in Texas. She can explain the whole “profit” thing to you. Read her book “Blood Money”. Abortionists and clinic owners make PROFIT off of killing unborn children.
Reality, you are hilarious, a profit is only a profit if the business is a publicly-traded corporation? I’m sure the thousands of dollars Kermit Gosnell had stuffed in his mattress before getting nabbed was extra salary he planned on giving to the Salvation Army. Our abortion clinic owner in my town drives a BMW and has had the same lousy recovery couches for patients since I was in grade school. Really plowing that extra money into serving women. He is lost man that the sidewalk counselors try to reach out to everyday. Maybe someday he will stop playing word games in his head and come to his senses.
“A salary comes from profits, Reality. sigh” – no, a salary comes from turnover. What is left after salaries and other costs of running the business is ‘profit’ – Business 101.
Even if we accept what you claim, if there isn’t enough ‘profit’ or incoming funds from the provision of goods and/or services then salaries don’t get paid and no goods and/or services are provided.
So tell me, where do the ‘profits’ that PP makes go? Can no-one answer?
“Our abortion clinic owner in my town drives a BMW and has had the same lousy recovery couches for patients since I was in grade school” – sounds like a lot of doctors and business owners. The medical centre I use has doctors who drive mercedes, maserati, lexus etc. because doctors earn good money.
“Really plowing that extra money into serving women.” – which is what PP do.
