- Abstinence Clearinghouse shares a Journal of the American College of Cardiology study linking HPV to heart disease in women. HPV already has a proven link to cervical cancer.
- Abortion State discusses the lawsuit against a Planned Parenthood because they overlooked cervical cancer in a patient’s pap smear (attributing her symptoms to the use of birth control and sex toys), resulting in her death.
- Culture Campaign reports on the lack of abortion clinic oversight in Illinois (surprise, surprise), which has been brought to light due to the closing of Northern Illinois Women’s Clinic in Rockford. Illinois has decided that after 15 years of no inspections, they’re now “cracking down.”
- At Americans United for Life, Anna Franzonello gives her thoughts on the Obama Administration’s “expiration date” for conscience protections with regards to contraception coverage – insurance coverage which would be forced to include the abortifacient morning-after pill.
- Jay at Life Training Institute debunks pro-choice claims about the way America was before the passage of Roe.
- Euthanasia Prevention Coalition shares a letter written by a Salt Lake City doctor on why other states shouldn’t follow Oregon’s lead in legalizing assisted suicide: because suicide becomes a substitute for actual medical treatment.
- Abolitionist Society presents testimony by “Jane Roe” of the Roe v. Wade decision, Norma McCorvey, who never had an abortion and is now pro-life.
- At The Anti-Abortion Gang, Robert Bickel lists the often forgotten “accessories” to the crime of abortion.
- At Live Action, Kristen Walker writes another article about how to prepare ourselves for the end of abortion in America. With the end of slavery, our society had to make changes to welcome former slaves as now-free members of society, and Walker states we must do likewise for the children.

So Illinois is cracking down after 15 years of no abortion clinic inspections.
What’s the rush??

LOL!! I agree with you Mary. I can guarantee you there is no rush. Just like the rush to implement the Parental Notification Law which passes 15 years ago. NOT!!

“writes another article about how to prepare ourselves for the end of abortion in America” – what a pointless effort! Abortion in America won’t end.
With the end of slavery, our society had to make changes to welcome former slaves as now-free members of society, changes not yet finalised; and we must continue to do likewise for women, until true equality is achieved.

Pointless effort? Did you read the article Reality? I’ve certainly heard many a pro-choicer lament about the presumably horrible life of poverty, etc. that the one million children would be born into each year if not for abortion. Even if the number of abortions just decreases significantly (and some pro-choicers admit having the goal of decreasing the # of abortions) the issue of support for those families isn’t “pointless”. Comments like that just scream “pro-abortion” instead of “pro-choice”. I thought it was supposed to be us pro-lifers that don’t care about the born, only the unborn.

Yes I read the article. Apart from the fact that it’s a bit fairy dust and unicorns it points out the support systems which would be required which are hardly likely to be found under any republican administration. And a return to those ‘traditional values’. Which ones? Whose? From which era? Under whose rules?
That’s not the point though. It’s written about something that will never happen. The only way abortion numbers will decrease signigicantly is if contraception improves. And then there wouldn’t be a vast number of extra population to deal with.

Yeah, right. Something like 60% of U.S. women having abortions used contraception. But let’s pretend contraception reduces abortion.

Read it again – “The only way abortion numbers will decrease signigicantly is if contraception improves.”
It may not currently be as effective as would be preferable but if there were no contraception there’d be a whole lot more abortions. So yes, it does reduce abortion.

abortion clinic inspection? pffffft yeah like they care. martin ruddock is running a shoddy clinic for years and despite several health code violations hes still killing babies and hurting women.

Reality, you’re like the Southern slave holder who can’t imagine making his own way in the world without his “freedom” to subjgate someone and treat them less than human.
Women are not empowered by their ability to kill their children. That’s stupid. Not to mention evil.

If contraception improves? Nuva ring, the pill, the shot, the patch, condoms, all claim effectiveness of 98% or more. No, improvements in contraception will not result in fewer abortions.

“Reality” is a super time waster. He, like cc, has no long term or short term memory. For example, I saw him go round about with comments again lying that abortion is safer than birth (not for the baby of course) even though there are absolutely NO reliable numbers of abortion complications because abortionists do NOT report. There is NO reliable data on abortion complications, though we do know that less than a fourth of a percent of births result in maternal death. That’s less than 1/4 of 1 percent, according to the CDC’s own statistics which were published last year. Despite his wishful-thinking-moniker, his comments are never based in subjective reality. Instead, he regurgitates his own tired phrases and fictional trends, and dusts off some of the usual dinosaur droppings from his fellow abortion fans when even he gets bored of his own recycled material.
Snooze. Wake me up when some abortion fan gets some fresh perspective. Oh, wait… LOL!

Doh, can’t edit: but above I meant to type “OBJective reality” which, as some of us know, is very different from SUBjective.

ninek, it is a meal which has been fastidiously prepared, expertly cooked, exquisitely plated and elegantly served – in numerous countries around the world.
Your disliking it and turning your nose up at it is not going to make it go away.

“Your disliking it and turning your nose up at it is not going to make it go away.”
Your loooooving it and over-eating it for every meal is never going to make it healthy.

Ah, yet it is self-evidently healthier.
