We welcome your suggestions for additions to our Top Blogs (see tab on right side of home page)! Email Susie@jillstanek.com [2].

  • Star Studded Super Step’s [3] Andy Moore has birthed a new website, AbortionWiki.org [4], which intends to compile information on the global abortion industry into one online reference (a Wikipedia of sorts about abortion). A new advisory board for the site has been formed, consisting of many “all-stars” in the pro-life movement. Find and bookmark!

  • Live Action [5] has an interview with our own Jill Stanek on the things pro-lifers can do, here and now, to make a difference against abortion:

Stanek’s best advice for those who want to help the pro-life movement is to pay attention to what is going on around you. She asks, “Where are you right now? Look around. Jesus reached out to his little circle in Jerusalem. He started at home. Don’t make it hard. Start at home.”

  • Reflections of a Paralytic [7] shares the story that even stunned CNN’s Anderson Cooper: thirtysomething man Trent Arsenault (pictured left) – who claims to be a virgin by choice so his sperm remains disease-free – has sired 15 children via sperm bank donations. The stunning (and disgusting) part? He shares video of his sperm collection techniques on a porn website.
  • Vital Signs [8] focuses on the “Heart for the Disabled” valentine project, sponsored by Joni Eareckson Tada.
  • John Smeaton [9] reports that Irish radio producer, Daniel Reardon, made a drama on abortion which was unfortunately never broadcast. The production will be available for free on Amazon tomorrow, January 28.
  • Secular Pro-Life’s [10] Kelsey Hazzard highlights her appearance on NPR’s “Tell Me More” panel discussion, which included abortion proponents. Unfortunately, the network’s heavy editing of Hazzard’s remarks (which has happened to other pro-life leaders on the program in the past) hindered the pro-life message from being explained with clarity. Listen to the program here [11].
  • Suzy B [12] posts the 2012 State of the Unborn Address by President Marjorie Dannenfelser:

HOLLANDER: My parents did talk to me about it. I think when I was younger it was harder for me to understand. I think that abortion is a bit of a complicated issue, so just being told by my parents was helpful, but it wasn’t enough for me to understand. I really had to come into the beliefs on my own, I think.
People like her are why we need the pictures. Their parents ARE indoctrinating them. We have to SHOW them.

And people complain that Wikipedia can be inaccurate!

No kidding, Reality! It’s heavily biased & dare I say, preaching to the choir using non-medical laymen’s terms such as “baby” & graphic descriptions to describe the procedure, such as “ripped apart” If you really wish to appeal to & reach the general public, “soft” pro-choicers, & fence-sitters then you ought to try to tone down the propoganda & use more medically accurate terms & descriptions, as well as multiple up-to-date medical sources to support your arguments.

The mention of the Irish documentary reminded me of the late Irish author and poet Christopher Nolan who wrote despite having a severe form of cerebral palsy. Unlike Gianna Jessen, his cerebral palsy had no connection with abortion. However, he was concerned about abortion. He once “spoke” — through his typing — to an audience against the practice of examining pre-natally and then aborting defective fetuses. He asked, “Why does society fear the crippled child?”

Courtnay,
Realize not everyone feels or believes the same as you. Just keep preaching to the choir and see how far it gets you in convincing others of your view point.

And maybe the sky is actually green, and we’re all just colorblind.
