Only four made my list of top favorite political cartoons this week…
by Chip Bok at Townhall.com…
by Bob Gorrell at Townhall.com…
by Dana Summers at GoComics.com…
by Nate Beeler at Townhall.com, on New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s call to ban super-size drinks, ironic coming from a man who is pro-“choice” on abortion…
The bill about soda offends my libertarian sensibilities. I am a health nut but I still love soda. It’s not the government’s freaking job to tell people how much soda they can sell.

Hi JackBorsch 9:28am
Welcome to the nanny state. How dare YOU think you have the ability to choose what to eat or drink.
If you think this is bad, in a low income California community some nannies in the City Council decided fast food made poor people fat. They then banned fast food restaurants in low income communities. Apparently fast food doesn’t make people above a certain income level fat.
Never mind that many of these places provide employment for the local community and no one is forced to eat there, or that poor people can go elsewhere for fast food.
Well, what can we expect from people who want to tell you the kind of toilet you must use, which btw turned out to be a more water wasting and inefficient type of potty.

A couple of items got left off the kill list: the 4th Amendment and a U.S. citizen.

According to Bloomberg the intentional killing of unborn humans is fine but we must ban something that causes health risks to born ones. This is especially absurd given that some of these born people are to be trusted with choosing life or death for the unborn ones, but can’t choose whether or not to use something that has health risks for themselves. Is this supposed to make sense?

Moving to NewYork under mayor Bloomberg would be like moving in with a schizophrenic nanny.
They legislate against pregnant women drinking alcohol and at the same time fight tooth and nail against legislation preventing same baby from getting torn from same womb in bloody pieces. The lack of logic is enough to make a sane persons brain hurt.

Mark,
And the single most glaring omission is:
PRE-NATAL CHILDREN

The most common size of soda in vending machines throughout the US is 20 ounce and he is proposing a ban on anything over 16 ounce. OOPS!

Mark, Ken, I thought the same, as well as the omission of the 2nd Amendment. I agree, the group of “pre-natal children” is a seriously glaring omission.

There are two ways to combat obesisty:
1. Reduce caloric intake.
2. Burn more calories by increased phsyical activity.
If you do them both, you increase your probability of losing both weight and girth.
I suggest that people who are short for their weight be required to peddle exercise bikes that are coupled to electical generators which in turn provides power for whichever electrical or electronic device the fatty prefers.
For those ecologicaly and socially conscious folks who are the ideal weight for their height and who are obsessed with saving mother earth, they can couple their exercise bikes to a battery charger for their neighbors Chevy ‘Volt’. [Good luck finding ‘one’. They were built to save the planet, but no one earth wants to buy one.]
or
They can use the generated electicity to power ‘the o’bamateur’ propaganda machine. It is going to be running at max capacity for the next few months.
It takes massive amounts of energy to keep all those balls in the air, 24/7.

Careful Ken,
or the exercise police will be knocking on your door!

In the first cartoon one of the characters looks like Axlerod, but who is the court jester supposed to be?
Joe Biden?

I’m torn on the soda bill.
The Republicans have said loud and clear that they aren’t a fan of personal responsibility these days, or paying for problems.
In that environment, that seems to demand that certain things be done to protect a state from upcoming crazy costs.

Hey Ex!
It’s just that its invasive and useless. People will still drink as much soda, its just going to cost more and put more garbage in our landfills. I think its a silly, ridiculous law.
When I don’t buy bigger sodas I end up drinking just as much, I just drink more of the smaller cans. You can’t legislate soda addiction! :)

Isn’t their landfill called New Jersey though?

From now on, I will be referring to the honorable Mayor of NYC as “Nanny Bloomberg.” :)

JuneBug,
We agree on something.
“It’s just that it’s invasive and useless.”
Having recently submitted to the ‘Star Trek’ procedure, I can speak from experience and state unequivocally that I derrived no sexual gratification from having an inanimate objects shoved up my rectum.
I learned enough to conclude that an ‘animate’ object would not produce a different result.
But I did get some good news.
Tho they did ‘go where no man [or woman] has gone before’, the medcial professionals reported they found no strange new worlds, nor did they discover any new life and/or new civilizations and there was no evidence of pre-cancerous polyps.
And thank GOD, tho it took me more than ten years to agree to submit to the procedure, it did not take them five years to complete the mission.
I predict that man [probably Indian or Chinese] will set foot on the moon again, before I allow the medical professionals a ‘return voyage’.

That first cartoon reminded me of old nursery rhume: ‘Old king Cole’
Old king cold was a crooked old troll,
And a twisted old troll was he.
So he called for his pipe,
And he called for his blow,
And he called for his diddlers three.
Every diddler he had a diddle,
And very fine diddle had he.
There’s none been bared, as can compare,
With old king cold and his diddlers three.
[diddlers: Archbishop Carl Bean, Barny Frank, Bishop Kwabena Rainey Cheeks]

EG: “that seems to demand that certain things be done to protect a state from upcoming crazy costs.”
Good grief. “Protect a state.”
Citizens exist for the sake of ”the state” now? Liberties are expendable for the sake of “the state”?
What isn’t mandated is prohibited.

How about calling him Mary Poppins?
I can just picture him swooping down on the end of an umbrella, trying to determine exactly what NYorkers are drinking.

Yes, now I know why ken only says “tho” instead of “though”. He’s leaving the “ugh!” for us! ;)

Also missing from the kill list are things such as “Bringing People Together”, and ”Lowering Health Care Costs by an Average of “$2500 per Family”… all of which he promised but failed to do. Worse, he has compounded the deficit and health care costs, even as the poverty rate and food stamp usage has sky-rocketed.
But one thing Lord Barack did not fail at was playing golf, and lots of it, even as Lady Michelle and the kids act like royalty as they take spins around the globe. One can only imagine the headlines if it were Bush out golfing and Laura and the twins globetrotting.

I move we add US/Polish relations to ‘the o’bamteurs’ kill list. It seems our misguided drone already has it targeted for immediate anihilation:
Polish Government calls Obama ignorant, incompetent over WW2 remark
Wednesday, 30 May 2012
http://macedoniaonline.eu/content/view/21121/61/
US President Barack Obama’s description of a Nazi German Holocaust site as a “Polish death camp” shocked Poland, whose leaders insist the record be set straight 67 years after World War II.
Obama on Tuesday labeled the Nazi facility used to process Jews for extermination as a “Polish death camp.” The White House later said the president “misspoke” and expressed “regret”.
“The White House will apologize for this outrageous mistake,” Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski wrote on his Twitter Inc. account. “It’s a shame that such a momentous ceremony has been overshadowed
by IGNORANCE and INCOMPETENCE.” [my emphasis]
Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Wednesday the o’bamateurs words had hurt all Poles and he expected more from Washington than just “regret”.
[On behalf of all Americans, I offer my sincerest apologies to our Polish friends and allies for the ignorance and incompetence of ‘the o’bamateur’.
I also apologize for the ignorant, incompetent and foolish voters who elected mr. bo-jangles.
In americas defense, I would point out that some of those voters, like ‘the o’bamateur’ himself, were undocumented and illegal aliens.
But nobody can rightly accuse us of being ‘racist’ cause it was mostly caucasians who voted for b o cause he was NOT causcasian. We just wish he were from another planet so he would not make us embarassed to be human.]

Ken is spot on with the omission of pre-natal children. But when placed on a list with the other (though very significant) items the effect would be to minimize it. It deserves a category all its own.
Obama’s behavior in Illinois as a state senator in working overtime to assure that infants born alive as a result of an attempted abortion would be left unattended is certainly one of the most heinous acts of cruelty in American history. He would rather have a child denied medical attention and the comfort of human compassion than take a chance that abortion rights might somehow be impacted.
On this matter alone Obama should be disqualified from holding elective office. In any civilized age a person such as this would be recognized as a monster.

I’d rather hear about Ken’s rectum than about Obama. As far as I know, Ken’s rectum is not declaring war on babies and Catholics.
“The Republicans have said loud and clear that they aren’t a fan of personal responsibility these days, or paying for problems. In that environment, that seems to demand that certain things be done to protect a state from upcoming crazy costs.”
Spoken like a true Stalinist propagandist. Bravo. We MUST pass crazy violations of personal freedom! We need to SAVE the people from Jews/Catholics/Republicans/Themselves!

I’d just rather discuss the issues at hand and not the terminal end of a specific poster’s digestive track. Thank you.

Another item related to ‘the o’bamteurs’ kill list: race relations among democRATs
Race war in the White House: black attorney general Eric Holder and top Obama caucasian adviser David Axelrod ‘had to be separated’
In ‘Kill or Capture: The War on Terror and the Soul of the Obama Presidency’, Klaidman discloses the struggles within Mr Obama’s White House at it mounted its controversial campaign against al-Qaeda.
The book, which is released on Tuesday, examines the CIA-led drone war on al-Qaeda operatives who have made it on to a so-called “Kill List” that is said to be overseen by Mr Obama himself.
“That’s bull****,” Mr Holder said in a confrontation after a cabinet meeting, according to author Daniel Klaidman. He writes: “The two men stood chest to chest. It was like a school yard fight”. [or as its known in Florida, ‘stand your ground’.]
Mr Holder and Mr Axelrod were separated by black Valerie Jarrett, a White House adviser and confidante to Mr Obama. Ms Jarrett “pushed her way between the two men, her sense of decorum disturbed, ordering them to ‘take it out of the hallway’,” says Klaidman.
[Sorry, I don’t believe this bit of fiction for one moment. I don’t doubt the two men were bumping chests. I just don’t believe missy Jarret ‘pushed her way between the two’. Sounds like something ‘the o’bamateur’ would claim well have the moment had passed.]

My vote for the cartoons are the first is the best one (I think the head underneath King Obama’s right hand is supposed to be Biden the anti-Catholic), then the third about condoms, the second about the “Kill List” (although preborn babies and infanticide should have definitely been on the list, oh I forgot we can now add gendercide) and the last with “nanny-state” Bloomberg. Never would have thought I would live to see the day that a POTUS would be a rabid abortion lover and marriage redefiner.
