Pro-life news brief 1-31-13

  • A Lima, Ohio abortion clinic has closed. Note the hilarious bias in the article:

A pregnancy services provider that lists non-surgical abortion among its services has shut its doors in Lima, but as of now, it’s unclear whether the closure is temporary or permanent.

The Capital Care Network Lima office had its front door locked, lights off and curtains pulled shut Wednesday afternoon.

Several calls made to the Lima and Columbus offices went unanswered — many of the calls would not go through.

The wide range of pregnancy services that “pregnancy services provider” Capital Care Network Lima provided included abortion, abortion, abortion, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing and abortion counseling.

Abortion proponents now totally confused about what to call themselves

Who_Am_I__by_invader_jocyIt’s clear by now Planned Parenthood didn’t consult its friends before announcing plans to drop the term “pro-choice” from its lexicon.

Seems like a huge deal to me, particularly since Planned Parenthood offered no replacement.

Planned Parenthood doesn’t make marketing missteps, but I think it just did.

Certainly Planned Parenthood must have alienated groups like NARAL Pro-Choice America, Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, Feminists for Choice, Catholics for Choice, Rock for Choice, Medical Students for Choice, Republicans for Choice, Center for Choice, 4000 Years for Choice, Clinicians for Choice, Voice of Choice, Choice USA, yadda yadda.

Pro-life vid of day: Film seeks to “humanize” four abortionists

by Hans Johnson The new documentary film, After Tiller, sympathetically profiles the four doctors who still perform third-trimester abortions in the United States. One, Dr. Susan Robinson, laments having to determine if a patient’s need is compelling enough to accept under the somewhat more lax laws that govern her Albuquerque, New Mexico clinic. When she […]

China’s one-child policy officials get “tremendous income”

Human life is of paramount importance to the traditional morals of Chinese culture. This concept has been trampled on by uncivilized policies and behavior – including forced abortions – to the point of complete devastation. After decades of violent abortions, people have lost almost all respect and regard for life…. Over 60 million people are […]

Former abortion clinic escort arrested for “bumping” pro-lifer with car

20709473_BG1by Andy Moore of AbortionWiki.org

A former escort at a South Carolina abortion clinic decided to start the year off with a bang. Literally.

Larry Carter Center (mug shot right) is a former Green Party candidate for the S.C. House of Representatives and well-known socialist activist. He has also worked as a volunteer escort for the Charleston Women’s Medical Center abortion business.

On January 12, as Carter was driving his teal sedan out of the parking lot of the abortion business, he “bumped” 81-yr-old pro-lifer William Gasque in the knee with his front bumper.

Hey angry feminists, believe it

On January 28 Planned Parenthood of the Gulf Coast (currently being sued for Medicaid fraud) featured author and founder of the blog Feministing, Jessica Valenti, at its 40th Anniversary Roe v. Wade Luncheon. Valenti’s speech was about being an “angry feminist,” and during it she showed the following photo, explaining, “It really perfectly captures the sentiment […]

Pro-life news brief 1-30-13

by JivinJ, host of the blog, JivinJehoshaphat A California assemblywoman has taken up the mantle of “increasing access to abortion” in the state where it is arguably most accessible. Her bill would allow non-physicians to be abortionists. The pro-life student group at Oklahoma State is suing the university after being preventing from distributing leaflets with […]

Pro-life vid of day: NARAL lauds 40 years of… hairstyle changes?

by LauraLoo

Screen-Shot-2013-01-29-at-2.15.28-PMReported by Kristi Burton Brown at Live Action:

What’s odd about the video itself is that, other than small snippets of voice-over about abortion and women, there’s no real connection between the women featured and the choice of abortion. Instead, the video is rather flippant, attempting to portray “choice” as something really easy, common, and rather everyday. I mean, it’s pretty common for women to change their hairstyles and get their hair cut. (It seems the majority of women in this video are playing with or changing their hair in some way.)
