New Stanek poll: Will we finally see an abortion-free state in 2013?
I have a new poll question up:
The fate of at least 3 abortion clinics that are the sole providers in their state hangs in the balance. Will we finally see an abortion-free state in 2013?
Those states are Alabama, Mississippi, and North Dakota.
What do you think?
Our last poll question was:
Is it fair to equate abortion with slavery?
And overwhelming majority of you said yes….

As always, make comments to either the previous or current poll here, not on the Poll Daddy website.

I’ll just be optimistic and vote yes.
I’ll just add that it’s a tough call, and we really just have to wait and see what happens in each of those states.
I think people are forgetting that “state with no openly operating facilities devoted to abortion” is not the same as “abortion-free state.”
Frankly, I don’t think there will ever be an abortion-free state, any more than we have rape-free states or murder-free states, until Jesus returns.
Look at slavery. We thought we’d killed and buried that thing over a century ago, and it turns out that people have found another way to treat their fellows like possessions.
We’ll be able to clamp down on it. But it will always rear its ugly head, like any other human evil.
I think it’s fairly likely North Dakota’s clinic gets shut down.
Close them down close them down !!
Make it difficult for them to find a kill mill. Hitler. killed about 2 million Jews. Roe v Wade has killed 75 million children …..mass genocide!
Free of legal abortion, which is what I believe the poll is asking about, yes.
So, anyone want to argue for no? Surely, it must be possible that it won’t happen this year.
I voted “no,” I wonder if pro-abortion groups will try to rally around these clinics for a time, recognizing the blow to their momentum of having a state without an abortion clinic for the first time in decades. I have no idea of course which might be the case.
Chris, I think pro-abortion groups will do just that for just the reason you mention, and I think it will get nasty. I am just optimistic enough about the momentum and commitment of pro-lifers not only in these states but nationwide, to believe that we may well end up with three legal abortion free states by the end of this year.
