Forty years later, having won most of their early battles, the current “women’s issue” crowd now maintains there’s a war on us that won’t end until we can obtain contraception and abortion without so much as a co-payment even for women who can afford an education at Georgetown, and it must be paid for even by people who have always maintained conscientious objection.
Meanwhile, many of us have refused to assimilate, though we rarely hold press conferences about it. Bearing the wounds of the sexual revolution, we think, for our daughters’ sakes, there’s still room for discussion. Abortion and contraception (free at last, or mostly) aren’t the best we have to offer our girls….
We think the abortion-contraception damsel in distress dirge is unworthy of us, and quite disingenuous coming from women perfectly able to pay.
Our “women’s issue” sisters may be admirable for their tenacity in defining the debate, but they do not define us. We take issue with their version of “women’s issues” and we can speak for ourselves.

The war on women is ridiculous. The only war on women are the unborn girls killed in their mothers wombs. They act like a bunch of spoiled friggen brats. You have depo the pill the IUD condoms sterilization and abortion on demand for any reason. Oh and plan B. There will be 3000 abortions performed today. Surgical or by pill. What more do they want?
And they want everyone to pay for your BC…they arent even using it.

Then they have an abortion or multiples and guess who is at fault? We EVIL anti choice pro lifers! Yes it is us because you had that right to choose abortion. Now you scream “Dont judge us”!!!!! “It was the hardest decision of my life.” Sheesh we cant win!
Right JDC and we are doing that also. You can get an abortion on welfare and IK a girl who got Plan B on medicaid.

They want respect yet the ultimate disrespect is your boyfriend asking you to have an abortion. He is also disrespecting you by not marrying you. You are a sex object to him. At the very least could your bf use a condom? And then youre willing to have a safe abortion that just might leave you sterile or kill you. Abortion is war on a womans body. The cervix wasnt meant to be opened that way. You may get adhesions in your uterus and never be able to get pregnant or even worse a hysterectomy may be required. The feminists dont like to talk about the risks. Oh but Ive met and spoken to these women. The war is between a woman and her aborting doctor.
And also if birth control was meant to eliminate abortions then why do we still have 3000 or 4000 abortions every day? Why are more women having multiples? Because abortion IS their birth control. And when people bring the rape issue into it I ask “So are 4000 women raped in the US every day”? Some woman wrote in that she was raped in a dark parking lot at age 22. She said she went home showered and 3 days later called a rape hotline. According to her the lady told her not to report it because all of the evidence had been washed away. She said she didnt go to the police but she discovered she was pregnant and went to the abortion clinic. I couldnt imagine letting that go or a rape crises hotline telling her reporting it wouldnt do her any good.

Ask the Quakers how much the US respects people’s right to not pay for something to which they have always maintained a conscientious objection.
Gotta watch some of these pc stories. Theyy have more holes than swiss cheese. Just like another post abortive girl I took to task. She said a man raped her while she was walking home from school. She didnt report it. Why? I pressed on. Suddenly it was a gang rape. Then it wasnt a rape just an abortion. I dont disbelieve someones been raped but its also horrible to make up a tale. If that rape crisis counselor told the rape victim not to go to the cops then shes inept and should be fired.

Because it’s not going to eliminate every single abortion. You might as well ask why we still have traffic fatalities now that we have seatbelts.
Birth control does eliminate a huge number of abortions, as it is.
