Manager of closed abortion clinic complains about “lack of gratitude”
One of four remaining clinics that provide abortions in Kansas has closed amid a hostile political climate and financial challenges.
Its outgoing manager said Monday the decision was also prompted by a “lack of gratitude” from a young generation of women who take its abortion services for granted.

Sure, a woman’s main concern on a day-to-day basis may not be abortion rights. Her main concern may be basic healthcare for herself and her kids, or something else. But she has the luxury of abortion rights not being her main concern because it’s been an absolute guaranteed right in this country for 40 years. That means every woman in this country under the age of 40 never had to worry about getting an illegal, unsafe abortion….
That’s a long time to get lulled into a sense of security that that right is never going away — and therefore we don’t need to make its protection a priority….

No..they have to worry about getting a LEGAL unsafe one.
BTW, Ms. Hall : a lot of women under 40 never got to be born BECAUSE of abortion….DUH !

You killed a third of my generation but I’m supposed to express gratitude? I must not have gotten that memo.
I’d conclude this with a very unkind word but for JS’s moderating rules.

Poor Mizz Hall doesn’t see it, does she?
Women don’t need abortion, just as women don’t need cigarettes. Sure, a lot of women use these, when they are readily available and sorta cheap and seem to give a quick fix.
But as women came to realize how much abortion and cigarettes hurt their health and their lives, they cut back. Women didn’t object to the reasonable restrictions placed on abortion and smoking cigarettes. Women were not surprised when Big Tobacco paid billions in healthcare lawsuits to the states. Women are not surprised when abortion clinics close because they cannot meet standards. Women understand that dangerous things need to be made safer.
Women are not surprised that tobacco and abortion industries have falling demand and falling profits.
Because “appreciating abortion rights” is like appreciating cigarettes.

Well ive seen many things that say 1 in 3 women will have an abortion by the time they are 45. Im 44 and I can still get pregnant but here was my response and I will make the same response. Will 1 in 3 men commit rape murder molest a child steal deal drugs…or will one in 3 women prostitute commit infanticide do street drugs steal rob a bank before she is 45?

Also will 1 in 3 commit child abuse before shes 44? Does that make it right?

Meant 45… why is that the magic number? Also to all of these nit wits in the abortion industry. Calling ALL cars!!!!! You are putting yourselves out of business! You have been given the right to kill your children since 1973! Plenty of women have had abortions. Now when the number of abortions drop or a clinic closes they are taking abortion for granted? I passed by CLOSED Martin Ruddocks clinic 2 days ago and wanted to stop n get a pic of how high the weeds have grown. But i would have been late to a doc appt. I never knew weeds could be such a beautiful thing!

Thats one thing that throws me. Ive always thought pro lifers and pro choicers were working together to reduce the number of aborttions so the closing of clinics should be a great thing! I guess the $$$ is more important to the pro death squad. And contraception is much cheaper than abortion. I believe the costs listed on Martin Ruddocks defunked website were anywhere from 350$ to well over 1000$ for an abortion. How many months were a factor because he did late term abortions and sedation was expensive.

Agree prax…but to add on pro aborts hate women who havent ABORTED and they hate children too. Luckily the post abortive women I know arent radical and none protest. Seems the women I interact with just want to put it behind them. They dont continue to promote it. At most they will claim they are pc. I went to the PL march in 2007 in DC.

N i will bet ol sour puss is post abortive. Im out here and Im mad cuz you want to take away my rights to kill my fetus. You just dont understand. We women have been fighting to keep the right to kill a parasite that hooked into our wombs. Id bet if there was a big cloud over her head thats what it would say. Face it ladies. Unless youve repented of your abortion it will fester like a cancer. Heck I went pregnant in 2007 and hooked up with ppl I didnt even know and made a day of it. You might say they adopted me n my unborn daughter for the day. Im smiling in all my pics.

That old NOW photo really takes me back. Remember those round blue NOW signs… they used to be everywhere. The clothing styles have changed. (3/4 sleeves ha!)
Even the fact she is wearing a watch dates the photo. Remember when it was stylish to wear the watch face toward the inside of the wrist so it wouldn’t get scratched. It made one feel young and active…like you were out there doing something that required real work.
But the human faces…they have not changed. The emotion written on the face of a post-abortive person is something that has not changed at all.

“Well ive seen many things that say 1 in 3 women will have an abortion by the time they are 45.”
And many of them sounded like the people on this website, saying all sorts of things… Then they find out that in their own life, they do need to have an abortion, that it’s the best thing for them, and thank goodness they have the legal freedom to make that choice.

Or they’re coerced into it. Or they do the right thing despite the difficulties (2 out of 3 women will not have an abortion by the time they’re 45, and statistics show that being part of a pro-life religious denomination is negatively correlated with having an abortion – suggesting that people do indeed practice what they preach).
But I guess it’s easier to think that women are only pro-life because they’re too stupid to understand that they can’t live without abortion.
