Stanek Sunday funnies, “Stupid American voters” edition
At last count there had been six videotapes unearthed of Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber blabbing that the massive healthcare bomb passed only due to “lack of transparency” on the part of the Obama administration and Democrats, in conjunction with “the stupidity of the American voter.”
Needless to say, political cartoonists had a field day with these revelations. In honor of those six videos, I’ve chosen six of their best lampoons. Be sure to vote for your favorite in the poll at the bottom of this post!

I liked #2 the best because it characterized the Democratic congressman as being stupid.
I must confess however that as much as we might hate to admit it, American voters can be pretty stupid. I mean we (as a group, not me personally) voted Obama into the Presidency twice.
Someone’s not using their noggin.

Somebody has been Grubering all over me for the past six years.

I’m voting for #4 on this one because it points out how stupid voters were to elect Obama in 2008.

I wonder if Ex-RINO’s ears are burning, since Gruber’s been talking about him for weeks…

Tough choices this week time. Usually, a guy can eliminate one or two as not being as good as the rest.
All of these are thought-provoking and bring a different view to the problem. I voted for #2.

Usually stuff is hidden from people who are too smart. If the people are so stupid, then they wouldn’t have caught on anyway. It was hidden from us because we’re too smart – they had to lie in order to pass something SO stupid! After all, Ms Pelosi said it had to be passed first so it could be read. Oh maybe that is who Gruber was referring to!

xalisae –
No issue with his comment after reading the full context of it.
He was the main architect for Romneycare, and then Obamacare – and in both instances, you had to pay for the legislation. Americans, as we know, want services but don’t like the word tax – so the way it was sold – not heavy on individual taxes, was the way to go. This relies on people not fully understanding that taxes passed onto other areas end up affecting prices elsewhere.
This isn’t new – politicians do it all the time.

Okay. So you’re not a useful idiot, you’re just compliant in the deceit because it works for you. So you’re worse than a moron, you’re corrupt.

I think it would be good for you to better understand the facts around this – if you could start with this article, and let me know if you’ve read it. If you only have a headline version of what’s happened, or only read stuff on Fox, I have no interest in having this conversation further. If you’ve read up on this though, I’ll discuss.

It’s not the “stupidity” remark that stings. It was the callous admission that there was intentional obfuscation and “lack of transparency,” such that even most political analysts couldn’t decipher the ACA.
Some Republicans did…. Remember that famous flow-chart of all the agencies and complicated interactions?
But by then, it was too late. Democrats controlled Congress and the White House. Americans knew we were getting screwed, and we didn’t like it. We fought the ACA every which way, and we voted Congress over to more Republicans in every election since, as well as most of the states.

Shorter Ex-RINO:
“If you’re not willing to view this through the whitewashed version of the ACA-sympathetic media, I don’t care to have my worldview disturbed by your harsh reality.”
No thanks. If you’re not willing to read the links I posted (one of them was to a PBS interview, so that’s straight from the horse’s mouth) and address this dude’s *own remarks*, I’m not going to bother hashing this out with a sycophant like you.

Yes, she did. She infamously told us all that they would “pass it and then read it”. Only a Dem could get away with this.
And how many revisions are said to have been done to Obamacare by the big man himself? He’s tweaked it over and over again, which means it’s not even the bill they passed initially.
Yes, the whole thing has been nothing but a hot mess. As someone else said above, lots of Americans recognized this from the beginning, but this was railroaded through with little to no say from the American people.
