Stanek wkend Q: So what if “I aborted my baby because it was a boy” story was a hoax?
This week a horrific story was posted at injusticestories.com by “Lana,” who claimed she aborted her late-term baby after discovering he was a boy, because she has serious issues with men:
“It’s a boy”
“What?” I managed to sputter…. I started crying, weeping at the thought of what I was about to curse the world with….
By the third day, I started regaining some of my mental strength and knew what I had to do. I couldn’t bring another monster into the world. We already have enough enemies as it is….
A few days later, I went in for the procedure, as it was fairly later in my pregnancy, I was aware there were certain risks, but it went off without a hitch. My body’s betrayal was no more, I was free…. I felt strong. I had done something positive, something that would actually make a difference, something good….
Now, as ghastly as tha story may sound to the world – which has roundly castigated Lana in the comments section – it should give abortion supporters no qualms, because, as RH Reality Check editor Jodi Jacobson says:
There is no 'good' or 'bad' reason for an abortion, so focusing on 'exceptions' doesn't make sense, says @jljacobson http://t.co/Q9tjDhaZNw

But strangely, some pro-choicers are trying to distance themselves from Lana’s story. The pro-abortion website Jezebel dedicated an entire article to mock it:
A very, very fake story about a feminist who aborted a male fetus out of principle has been circulating wildly this week, even though it’s absurd and even after Snopes looked into it and determined it “probably false.”
Why would Lana’s story even attract the attention of Snopes – other than to protect the reputation of pro-choice world?
At any rate, as Jacobson says, aborting mothers need make no excuses for reasons why they abort, so abortion supporters should have no problem standing by Lana, right?

Agree 100%
I think it applies to a story I heard the other day as well – a mother was brutally raped by four guys – was ashamed and went into depression, and found out she was pregnant pretty late in the game – she wanted to have an abortion but was denied because she had passed the legal thresholds – she then gave birth, but both she and baby died in childbirth, leaving behind a couple of orphaned children.
But yeah – agree – the actual truth doesn’t matter.
Ironically, if this story IS true doesn’t that mean Lana SLEPT WITH THE ENEMY? She doesn’t mention rape. I assume she would’ve aborted off the bat if that were the case.
If abortion doesn’t kill an innocent human being then what does it matter if she aborted because the gender was “wrong” for her? Why should anyone judge Lana’s reasons for aborting if abortion is just a common surgical procedure and doesn’t kill a baby? The way pro-aborts act its almost like they KNOW abortion kills children. Strange.
For all their tired rhetoric and slogans their actions give them away.
Yep ( pointing up ) what Syd said!
Sex selection is creepy. I will never forget when a PC post abortive former friend was telling me that her teenage daughter was pregnant and added “We’re keeping.” As if she was talking about a pair of jeans. I’m so glad I’ve aborted our friendship after over 20 years.

We all want the story to be false, of course. Pro-lifers want it to be false. And pro-borts, even more so.
But we have met a few paranoid sociopaths like this Lana.
By the wishes of it’s mother, and other supporters of termination, a Human dies!
I pray they wake up to their senses, and realized their sin, has placed them, in a second death chamber..
Jesus will send the un-repentive, to their second death! Final and ever lasting torment! Seek Him now while you have time!
Obviously one individual can be off her rocker and want a late term abortion of a healthy little boy just cuz he is a boy. But what is up with the doctor? What great stress or mental illness is pressing him to do it? Even a doc who is an abortionist can say no sometimes, no? She can put the child for adoption. She doesn’t have to have a boy if she doesn’t want him. So sad that the medical community cannot come out against this.
Just a reminder about this late-term abortion: after 23 weeks, for a deformed left hand:

If the discussion goes down the route of determining the point in development (8wk, 20wk, etc.), or for what reason (rape, birth defect, sex-selection), the pro-choice folks know that they lose.
The issue has to stay vague. So, the pro-choice people prefer the hushed tones, and the “right without restriction” idea – this cuts off reasonable discussion.
