Pro-life vid: Pro-choice woman reacts violently to abortion images

Last month, Created Equal began a fall campaign extending their abortion protest displays beyond college campuses to secondary schools in Ohio. In a tv news interview in front of Gahanna Lincoln High School, Executive Director Mark Harrington said: “This is a generation that’s sexually active, therefore they should see what abortion is like.” He added: “The National Education Association position on abortion is supporting abortion, so therefore students that are under that policy should see what abortion is.”
Two student comments about the visual displays of aborted fetuses ranged from odd to evasive, one saying it was “deceiving teenagers”, and the other seemed more concerned about their invasion of privacy than their deaths – “if” they were true.
In a follow-up report the next night on WBNS in Columbus, a woman said: “My daughter said that it was quite disgusting and that it made her want to cry – that she felt really bad about the baby and things.” It appears to me that is the point. (Watch video here.)
Most recently, a woman driving by a display near Pickerington Central High School on September 30th reacted viscerally to the images of abortion victims. A police officer, while calling the images “disgusting,” defended the group’s First Amendment rights.

How is this happening? One social force is dominating another. This woman throws out the word “right” because that is what the powers that be throw out to cover anything they prefer. But rather than call the popo to get an illegal display dealt with per the law, she can get away with acting vigilante.
Why does she believe she can get away with it?
Because she believes society in general, including popo and the courts, will allow her.
This is not the rule of law but rule by the more powerful. This is oppression. Same as the way the legal system is regularly tilted against rape victims – rape victims get pressured to withdraw their reports, etc.
Why? Because society in general prefers to not stick up for those less powerful in that case.
Our society is founded on the ideas of figuring out what is OK, generally, and what is not OK, generally, then applying those standards justly to specific examples, regardless of how much power one group or lobby has.
That is it.
If she hated Black people, but there were posters of notable historical figures that were Black, on Black History Month, she would not jump out of her car – in 2014.
But she might have in 1960.

Otherwise, it makes no sense to say high school kids need to be protected from reality.
Their demographic does get abortions. We as a nation, and many states, have declared various laws treating them as independent, mature decision-makers- as young as 14 years old, the freshman age.
We show them gruesome photos of the Holocaust, smokers’ lungs, clubbed baby seals, etc. in public schools.
Why do we censor this one topic?
Because ever since the 1950s, there has been a steady campaign to make abortion seem acceptable to the average citizen, the medical community, the OBs, the educators, and the politicians – the demographics with the power to oppress.
Now that abortion is perceived as acceptable, anti-status quo speech about it can be oppressed by vigilante-ism. Like this woman.

LOL, every generation of teenagers in the history of humanity have been sexually active. They just tended to marry one another when a pregnancy occurred, instead of killing the baby.
People who have no problem with abortion often react violently to ANY image of a baby being used for a pro life message. Pro life messaging uses images of born, preborn and aborted babies to get the whole story out into the public square. Pro life billboards of smiling, born babies are often defaced by anti-life people.

Just because something is difficult doesn’t make it impossible. High school coaches preach that to their teams all the time, and kids in high school respond to that message in some pretty spectacular ways. What good is a sports championship, though, if it costs a preborn baby their life?

Has the numbers of teens that choose to become sexually active increased or decreased since abortion was legalized and PP entered our schools?
This woman only said she was sorry to get out of a ticket.
It was very big of the officer and the victim to forgive her anyway.
Hopefully, seeing herself behaving like this will be enough for her to figure out that she needs to deal with her anger before she hurts someone.

For most of human history, young people were prepared for adulthood early. Girls got married at puberty, which was a little later then than in our calorie-rich age. Girls married at 13 or so. (The age of the man varied, according to local custom.)
We are talking about marriages in the United States. A lot changed in the 1940’s when public high schools were invented. The warehousing of teenagers changed our customs. Young men and women typically married shortly after high school graduation, as my parents did in 1959. It was typical then for most teenagers to wait until they after they were engaged before they began experimenting with sexual activity.
The invention of contraception changed that. Over the 1980’s and 90’s, the age of contraception users pushed lower and lower. And once contraception is embraced by a culture, it is pretty much impossible for a woman to have a relationship with a man unless she makes herself available for sexual activity.
We cannot compare the early marriages of past centuries with the promiscuity that is demanded of teenage girls today. Yes, teenagers have always been “sexually active,” but the modern expression of teenage sex is unprecedented in human history. We do not yet know what will be the long-term impact on our culture. (However, the rising rates of divorces, illegitimacy, poverty, and infanticide (both abortion and after birth] indicate that the future is pretty dire for our kids.)
If Planned Parenthood is allowed into the schools to indoctrinate kids, then they SHOULD see what sex leads to. I’m all FOR showing kids the truth about abortion. They see worse crap on TV, in movies, the internet and those video games they play whether parents know it or not.
It’s a sad state of affairs that kids are exposed to sex way too soon, so it’s the parent’s DUTY to educate them about it BEFORE PP does… and show them just HOW PP deals with it when a pregnancy results.

Mr. Police officer, angry pro-abortion woman, tearful teenager and her mom—being silent while this goes on is EVIL. Whether or not you’ve aborted or talked someone into aborting, even if you consider yourself “pro-life”, if you remain silent while 3500 children are dismembered in the womb EACH DAY, you are complicit in their deaths and their blood is on your hands.
Instead of wringing your hands over the “disgusting” pictures you should be out there working to prevent children from ever becoming those pictures. To stay silent when you know the truth is the very reason this evil has continued for 40+ years. SHAME ON YOU ALL.
Now hopefully some people on this blog will finally understand the police officer is required to do his/her job. The officer didn’t stand by while the signs were knocked down. His personal opinion about abortion or the demonstrators was irrelevant. The demonstrators were violating no laws. The woman who knocked down the signs was violating the law. The officer was required to do his job and did so.

Folks this is a TYPICAL reaction when you show graphic signs! Ive been there and Ive told my stories. We always start with a prayer circle and we are called to be there. Its not meant for everyone. You pretty much have to say to these people ( in your head ) Dont FUSS with me. Because after the pics are out the fur will fly. Weve been swarmed by the cops and one even got out of his car and came my way. I thought Oh no. Actually he was cool and he looked at the fetal head and said “My God!” I educated him and he took a small card I had on abortion. The moonbats were out that day. Slamming their cars to a stop. F*** you because you dont get it. There are children who will see this. So??? We would say “Well then help us get PP out of here.” But Noooooooo thats not what they want. They just dont want to see the evil of what they have done. The majority are post abortive. But Im not one to go easy on them. I refuse. Youre a grown woman. You know what youve done! You need the Lord. BTW James I could care less if you choose jail over an apology. Its all about your right to CHOOSE. And a woman who helped me straighten up showed me tough love. She pulled no punches even if it meant hurting me. It was the only way I was going to get it. And it worked. Yes use love and compassion but if someone threatens me with bodily harm or ever tried to rip up my sign they get no free passes from me!
While I do not agree with this woman’s behavior, I do not wholly approve of pro-life protesters having these kind of signs up. Why? Because is a tragedy, a MURDER. Why do we treat aborted babies corpses differently than someone who was murdered? If I was murdered, i would consider it a sick, bizarre, and messed-up crime if people were protesting my murder by setting up large poster-size signs of my murdered corpse. It’s the wrong approach folks. Just my two cents.

What if were legal to murder you and everyone else your age?
I have been physically attacked for holding a sign of a BORN baby with the messaging, “CHOOSE LIFE” on it. People destroy and deface pro life displays such as billboards with pictures of BORN babies or pictures of LIVE in utero, high-resolution ultrasound image of babies. “Cemetery of the Innocents” type displays on campuses are regularly vandalized. If these non-graphic pro life displays trigger violence against persons and their property, then it’s hardly possible to provide a world for post-abortive women (and men) which will eliminate all those triggers to their memory of having allowed the taking of an innocent human life.
If we’re speaking for the dead now, I think the murdered innocent would want us to use his or her image as a silent voice for life, their voice and vote on the matter of whether they wanted to live or not having been arbitrarily and summarily taken from them before they could even speak for themselves.
I have never used a graphic image at an abortmill, but I think the public has to see abortion before the public will even begin to think of abortion as unthinkable. Many people don’t realize that abortion is legal through all nine months of pregnancy in many places. It is a corporal work of mercy to inform the ignorant. It is a grave matter to be indifferent to murder; people have a right to have informed consent.
There will come a time when people who show graphic displays of aborted babies will be seen as being on the right side of history. Canada regularly arrests a person who shows up at abortmills with a picture of a LIVE baby that says, “WHY MOM?” on it. How long do you think it will be before pro lifers are arrested here in the US for doing the same thing?

I wonder if she would have been sorry if the cop hadn’t shown up? Just because her views are different doesn’t make her right. We have a right to be against abortion.
Honestly, I still cannot completely agree DocKimble and Praxedes. I agree to protesting with non-violent signage (pictures of unborn children in development, etc). However, I believe that, as people who are insistent about upholding the dignity and sacredness of human life, we should not picket with signs depicting these horrifying acts. Legal or not, we cannot stoop to using unborn murdered children as exploitable objects. Maybe some of those unborn children, if born, would feel it was right, but maybe some wouldn’t. At least in my opinion, I would argue that picketing in this manner is degrading, objectifying, and disrespectful. There is a fine line between objectification with public picketing (particularly outside abortion mills) and education and I don’t think some in the pro-life movement are careful about it. I do think we need to educate those who are blind to such horrifying events, but never in a manner that objectifies persons (such as these unborn children)

You may have missed my point in the last paragraph. If Linda Gibbons in Canada is routinely arrested and kept in jail for showing a sign at an abortmill of a LIVE baby with the simple message of “WHY MOM?” on it, what are the chances that this will not soon happen here in the US? The point being that ALL pro life visual speech in the US will then be restricted. This is in contradiction to many things in the US Constitution, for instance that which allows for peaceful public protest of grievance, freedom of speech and association, and freedom of religion.
This is not a small matter. Our freedoms are only good if we exercise them. The freedom of every right under the US Constitution is abolished FOR the unborn when their first right under the Constitution, the right to life, is destroyed through the abortion procedure. It is summary dismissal of the Constitution every time an abortion is committed. Pro lifers are exercising freely FOR those whose rights were so summarily abolished through abortion. Abortion is also an affront to all those who died defending the US Constitution when they swore to defend it against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, when taking the Military Oath.
The unborn are not considered human by those who support abortion. The graphic images, when shown in general public, give the lie to EVERY lie the vast abortion industry promotes through the compliant mainstream media. Propaganda is a very powerful and effective tool in the hands of a skilled propagandist. Just ask anyone who saw “Triumph of the Will,” by Lani Riefensdahl, Hitler’s propagandist, and who was deceived by that visual representation of Nazi Laws and German people. The thing that gave the lie to “Triumph of the Will” was bought at a great price. 50 to 80 million people died in WWII, brought on by Nazi genocidal maniacs.
The more people who are made aware of the genocide being perpetrated on American free soil, the less likely there will be a World War III. The Triumph of the Allies in WWII was well spent at the Nuremberg Trials for Crimes Against Humanity and the Peace of the World. Lani Riefensdahl’s propaganda piece was a fantasy piece that was rebutted by graphic images shown at Nuremberg depicting piles of corpses, stacked like cordwood in mass graves. Chief Justice Jackson’s Opening Statement at Nuremberg is worth recalling:
“The privilege of opening the first trial in history for crimes against the peace of the world imposes a grave responsibility. The wrongs which we seek to condemn and punish have been so calculated, so malignant, and so devastating, that civilization cannot tolerate their being ignored, because it cannot survive their being repeated.
