... that the Board had not been investigating Rajanna and had even ignored requests from law enforcement and the county district attorney to help close Rajanna down. (These guys were particularly outraged at the consistent allegation that Rajanna ate aborted fetuses.)

Kathy escorted an informant to the board with photos of the clinic and resisted showing the photos to any legislator or reporter so that the Board could act quietly.

It would have been politically advantageous for KFL to show photos, but we wanted the Board that had failed in 2000, 2001 and 2003 to be unimpeded by media coverage and successfully restrain and remove Rajanna.

Again, the Board failed. Four months after damning whistleblower photos of the clinic had been submitted, the Board renewed his license.

On February 14, 2005, a Board order declared that Rajanna was indeed deficient (the Board basically restated what the informant had reported in 2003 and 2004). The Board decision was basically a wrist-slapping, and when challenged by KFL and legislators, Director Larry Buening said Rajanna needed to stay open to make money to afford the remedies to overcome deficiencies!

This past winter and spring, amidst the two or more deaths and numerous ambulance runs to Tiller's Wichita late-term abortion mill, the Board and pro-abortion Governor Kathleen Sebelius (for whom Buening's wife Vicki is a long-time top staffer) used Rajanna for a scapegoat, to create the false impression that the Board was willing and able to remove dangerous practitioners without a licensing/inspection bill.

At the June Board meeting, one Board attorney stated that it was "immediately apparent" Rajanna had never corrected errors after the February 14, 2005, Board order.

Yet Buening told legislators on March 17, 2005 (hours before the House vote for clinic licensure bill), that Rajanna was compliant-- as shown by pop inspections and photos.

However, when the legislature (with override strength in both chambers) sent the clinic licensure bill to the governor to sign on March 25, Buening suddenly said Rajanna was not compliant and his clinc was found to be filthy, with a dead rodent in the clinic hallway in plain view of staff.

Rajanna 's license is finally revoked, although he can legally appeal the ruling. Barring the appeal, after two years he can petition the Board for review and reinstatement.

This Board permitted Rajanna to waltz back into active physician licensee status in Kansas after he had been managing real estate properties for 20 years, having had a failed clinic and other setbacks early in his career.

Six months after regaining active Kansas license status in 1994, Rajanna enabled a man to die by prescribing 600 narcotic and psychotropic drugs to him within a few weeks and without taking a medical history! The decedent's family received an insurance settlement.

Rajanna is a killer, "a danger to the public" (Board's own words), and let's hope he stays out of both abortion and "medicine" in Kansas and other states.
