Birkett held a press conference yesterday announcing a petition drive to pressure the IL Supreme Court to come up with judicial bypass rules for an already-passed parental notification law.

Birkett took heat for "blast[ing] Democratic Blagojevich for vetoing a measure to lower the legal tattoo age from 21 to 18 to protect teens but supporting a 14-year-old being able to get an abortion without her parents knowing."
