How abortion protects pedophiles

A commenter most know on this site, Valerie, has launched her own blog, 2secondsfaster.com.

Last night Valerie posted information on an abortion clinic's cover-up of incest in OH. The victim, now an adult, is suing the mill:

A father, John Blanks Jr., sexually assaulted his daughter starting when she was 13 years old and ending when she was 18. She didn't even have her own bedroom. She was forced to sleep in the same bed as if she were her father's wife. When Daddy dearest impregnated his daughter he whisked her away to the place all sexual deviants take their victims. Planned Parenthood. From the Cincinnati Enquirer:

incest3.jpg

In a civil suit filed today in Warren County Common Pleas Court, the teen, formerly of Mason, says she disclosed the sexual abuse to a Planned Parenthood employee when she and her father went to the agency's Mount Auburn clinic to abort her pregnancy in November 2004. But no police report was filed – and as a result, the abuse continued for another year and a half, the suit says

Of Course Planned Parenthood denies the allegations....

EEEEWWW, This is just one of the many disgusting stories I have heard about sexual abusers and abortionists covering their tracks. How could there not have ever been a police report? PP was an accomplice to this girls continued sex abuse. I hope she wins a bundle!

Posted by: Heather4life at May 11, 2007 8:59 AM

Off topic a little: but this is what PP is up to... I think Jill may have discussed this earlier

In response to the April 18 U.S. Supreme Court decision upholding the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act, prominent Democratic members of Congress the next day reintroduced the so-called "Freedom of Choice Act" (FOCA), a proposed federal law to nullify virtually all federal and state limitations on abortion.

Of course, the usual suspects are big PP buddies (Barbara Boxer and Hillary Rodham Clinton)

The House bill had 71 cosponsors (70 Democrats, one Republican).

Check your state:

The Senate bill introduced by DEMOCRAT Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Ca.), had 13 Democratic cosponsors, including presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Clinton (NY).

I see...apparently stopping abortions will, in addition to every other woe you can ridiculously link to it, stop incest.

Posted by: Cameron at May 11, 2007 10:35 AM

Cameron, I think what is being said is that the perpetrator in this case should be put behind bars. Could you at least agree with that?

Posted by: Heather4life at May 11, 2007 10:44 AM

Cameron, no one is claiming that ending abortion ill end incest. However, it is a fact that rapists often hide their crimes with abortion. It is the abortion providers responsibility to keep this from happening.

Such don't ask, don't tell policy is dangerous. I'm very tempted to check this out for myself. Though I'm not a minor, I think I probably look young enough to be believable.

I already know that PP offers zero help to women who actually want to continue their pregnancies. Comprehensive women's health my butt. I called them when my husband and I were pregnant with our first child. We had just moved, and I didn't have a regular OB, and I thought that PP could help me with my pregnancy. I was told that their "prenatal care" began and ended with a pregnancy test. After that they perform abortions. That's it. I was pro-choice at the time, but recognized this for what it was-crap.

I was *so* angry. I had been taught (indoctrinated) my entire life that planned parenthood was the place to turn for all women's healtcare. Boy was I wrong!

Posted by: Lauren Author Profile Page at May 11, 2007 11:28 AM

As far as I know, this is the 3rd state that has civil lawsuits against planned parenthood for covering up the sexual abuse of minors. Kansas, Indiana and now Ohio. In these law suits planned parenthood is stating that patient physician confidentiality protects them from being court ordered to hand over medical records and is also their excuse for not reporting the crimes. Even if the court allows the girl's name and address to be removed from the file .

In Indiana the victims were 12 & 13 years old at the time.

These are underage GIRLS that are being abused and then not getting help at the very place that should be helping them. Why is PP more concerned about confidentiality than stopping abuse? Could it be that they are more concerned with getting money for the abortion than they are for the victim? If they turn the predator in, the girl may not have the money to give them.

It is sick and disgusting. I am going to be following up on all these cases, and getting more information. As I get it, I will let Jill know.

oh - And the girl that was forced to act more like a wife than a daughter: after the abortion Planned Parenthood provided her with birth control pills. So, they got money from the abortion and also got money every month for the BC pills.

Gestator of 3,

"I think what is being said is that the perpetrator in this case should be put behind bars"

You should try reading the links provided... He is already behind bars, and you nuts don’t care about that anyhow… so much as making accusations about PP. BTW.. The case hinges on a hand scrawled note supposedly found in training materials, which reads "don't ask, don't tell."

What I can agree, and what Planned Parenthood agrees on, is that if an employee of planned parenthood was indeed informed of rape/incest/abuse, law requires that it is reported to authorities... and employee failing to do so has violated the law.

It doesn't look like they've got much of case against planned parenthood, and, as always, you all are blowing a lot of hot air (hyperbole) for the most part. If you want to talk guilty by association with the anomalous... let's talk about abortion clinic bombings, the death threats, and rampant pedophilia among church leaders.

I'd caution you to wait till the trials over at least before you make any further insinuations.

Lauren

"Planned Parenthood offers high-quality health care, including birth control and family planning, gynecological care, STI/STD testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, and abortion services."

Jasper,

You're idiot.

"Lauren, yes, they're just into the killing business. "Planned Parenthood" "Comprehensive women's health" ....liars"

Comprehensive Women's Health is the title of health care package/plan available from HealthPlus via Planned Parenthood. It is a product, not a directive, and those terms do not appear in their title, services, or "about us."

Posted by: Cameron at May 11, 2007 2:38 PM

Cameron, How many more years of abuse did this girl endure when it could have been stopped? If someone had taken the girl seriously at PP, it may have spared her some of this abuse.

Posted by: Heather4life at May 11, 2007 3:13 PM

Cameron,

What more proof or evidence do you need? All of the ladies here (more articulate then me-yes) have given you legitimate reasons why abortion should be illegal.

Posted by: jasper Author Profile Page at May 11, 2007 3:19 PM

Cameron -

Doesn't it get old that you are always wrong?

"BTW.. The case hinges on a hand scrawled note supposedly found in training materials, which reads "don't ask, don't tell."

This note was verfied by a PP worker. The one who wrote it. Her name is Julia Piercey who is the agency's trainer. And the note said, among other things, don't ask, don't tell. The attorney for this client already had that information because the trainer, Peircey, sent that note along with other training material because of the 1st lawsuit. And has verified this through a sworn statement.

"He is already behind bars, and you nuts don?t care about that anyhow"

Yes, we is behind bars for 5 years. 1 year in jail for every year he raped his daughter. Not to mention that she went to Planned Parenthood over a year before the police were notified. That year+ was spent with her abusive father because of PP.

"What I can agree, and what Planned Parenthood agrees on, is that if an employee of planned parenthood was indeed informed of rape/incest/abuse, law requires that it is reported to authorities... and employee failing to do so has violated the law. "

If PP truly agreed with this then why are they stopping everyone from getting the truth? Especially if they have nothing to hide?

And we would wait for the trial to be over, but it won't be over until PP cooperates with authorities. This is something that PP doesn't do. So atty's have to get court orders, then wait for appeals, all the while the victim has to be subjected to more trauma.

This is not an organization that puts women's rights first. If it was, they would fire who ever did this and cooperate with the authorities instead of forcing these women from having to go through this.

I was reading about another case where the father was abusing, and routinely impregnating, both of his daughters. Their abuse started at the age of 12 and continued for several years as well. Dad kept on raping them and then taking them to the abortion clinic. The secret was discovered when one of the girls gave birth to twins. These children belonged to HER father.

Posted by: Heather4life at May 11, 2007 3:49 PM

Valerie, I just went back and read your first post. Oh that is just disgusting! I hope PP is sued into the ground!

Posted by: Heather4life at May 11, 2007 4:03 PM

"Cameron, How many more years of abuse did this girl endure when it could have been stopped?"

If you had actaully taken the time to read the article since the last time I ribbed you for not having read it, you would have noticed that she told a school coach what was going on about 6 months after the PP visit. So, assuming you're deliberately concentrating solvents for their euphoric effect and you believe these accusations, about six months.

Posted by: Cameron at May 11, 2007 4:14 PM

6 hours longer would have been too much!

Posted by: Heather4life at May 11, 2007 4:16 PM

"If PP truly agreed with this then why are they stopping everyone from getting the truth? Especially if they have nothing to hide?"

I get it... you're talking about the records pertaining to all minors and not just the one filing the complaint.... the whole reason they're going after PP as opposed to an individual.

I think it's a witch hunt... intended to make minors feel as though they don't in fact have any privacy when it comes to seeking abortions, and similar attempts to do so in the past have failed in the courts.

Posted by: Cameron at May 11, 2007 4:19 PM

"6 hours longer would have been too much!"

Once again... only if you're presuming guilt. I suspect PP will be cleared of this though.

Posted by: Cameron at May 11, 2007 4:21 PM

Cameron Planed Parenthoods claim of "comprehensive women's health care" is often used when arguing against CPC's.

Posted by: Lauren Author Profile Page at May 11, 2007 4:50 PM

Cameron -

Once again, your are so ignorant.

From the article:

“In a civil suit filed today in Warren County Common Pleas Court, the teen, formerly of Mason, says she disclosed the sexual abuse to a Planned Parenthood employee when she and her father went to the agency’s Mount Auburn clinic to abort her pregnancy in November 2004. But no police report was filed – and as a result, the abuse continued for another year and a half, the suit says”

What part of "the abuse continued for another year and a half" do you not get? Where did you get 6 months? YOU are the one who didn't read the article.

Do you want more facts that may help your intelligence level? She had the abortion in November 2004. Then, in the article, "The Mason teen’s situation came to light about a year ago, when the teen confided in her future college sports coach that her father coerced her to have sex" The article was wrote on May 9, 2007.

This is basic math. Maybe you should try it.

Posted by: Valerie Author Profile Page at May 11, 2007 10:57 PM

Cameron:

"I get it... you're talking about the records pertaining to all minors and not just the one filing the complaint.... the whole reason they're going after PP as opposed to an individual"

Indiana, Kansas, Ohio. These states have all found evidence of Planned Parenthood not reporting sexual abuse of minors. How many more states do you want to add because you believe it is a witch hunt? How many more children do you want injured because you do not like the fact that attorney's need to investigate to do their jobs? Or do you think people can discover evidence by using ESP? See, in order to get evidence, a person has to investigate. In order to investigate a person needs cooperation. Indiana and in the 1st ohio case in the article the atty's wanted to see specific records pertaining to specific age groups, not ALL minors. And they wanted the names and address of these girls to be removed from the files. How is this a witch hunt? This is called a proper investigation. If it were a hospital, the same thing would be requested. If it were an individual doctor, the same thing would be requested.
