Operation Roachy Rescue
I love Troy Newman. There, it's out. The leader of Operation Rescue either has me laughing at his antics or in awe of his dedication to the sanctity of life.
This time it's the former.
Just got this press release, which tells almost the whole story. The pictures tell the rest:
Kansas House Representative Vaughn Flora (D-Topeka) was found guilty yesterday of one count of battery for attacking Operation Rescue President Troy Newman last September during a gubernatorial debate at the Kansas State Fair.Newman was wearing a cockroach costume to draw attention to Gov. Kathleen Sebelius' support of abortion and opposition to even the most minimum clinic health and safety standards that has led filthy and dangerous conditions at Kansas abortion mills.
Troy, you've earned a bonus jewel for this one.
See photos and captions taken from OR's site on page 2....
"An abortion protester pretends to be the campaign mascot for pro-abortion KS Gov. Kathleen Sebelius. An abortion mill bought and closed by OR was found to be filthy and roach-infested. Sebelius opposes abortion mill inspections."

"Roachy simulates death when the pro-life candidate for governor was introduced. The antics were in reference to an abortion mill recently purchased by OR that was roach-infested. Sebelius opposed legislation that would have closed the filthy facility."

"Two abortion protesters pretend to worship at the feet of pro-abortion Gov. Kathleen Sebelius. 'She saved my life!' said Roachy, referring to Sebelius' opposition to abortion clinic inspections that would have closed several filthy KS abortion mills."

"This State Trooper turns a blind eye to women who were trying to hide Roachy with a jacket."

"A State Trooper gives Roachy a hard time about exercising is First Amendment rights."

Apparently, Vaughn initiated a cock(roach) fight against Newman after these shots were taken.
Some will say all this was over the top. But you have no idea of the abortion scandal cover-ups ongoing in KS - including minor rapes, illegal late-term abortions, and even death. The other side counts on staying out of the spotlight... like the roaches they are. Troy and OR are not gonna let that happen.
Comments:
Troy is awsome. I love Operation Rescue.
Posted by: Heather4life at May 16, 2007 10:37 AMFor those of interested in constitutes assualt in this case, Flora pulled his mask off and our proud leader of Operation Rescue claims that he was scratched when the mask was pulled off. Flora pleaded no contest, paid a $100 fine and $128 in court costs.
In my opinion, this is like child in the back seat contorting such that he might affect contact with a sibling and scream "HE'S TOUCHING ME."
Posted by: Cameron at May 16, 2007 10:43 AMThe abortionist should be wearing the cock roach suit.
Posted by: Heather4life at May 16, 2007 10:47 AMWell yes, Kathleen Sebelius does care about the abortion cockroaches, lets ger her a little credit.....
Of course now, Sebelius is in bed with Tiller-the-baby-killer, received donations from him, etc.
they call her Tiller's Governor:

What the hell? You can get sued for *scratching* someone?
I suppose you can sue someone for poking you? It's just as harmful.
What a baby.
Posted by: Stephanie at May 16, 2007 11:06 AMIsn't it inspiring watching pro-lifers on offense?
Keep it up!!!

Thanks (serisouly) for thinking I am smart enough to be a California Senator (really it means the world to me). But I dont agree with everything she does. For example, she is for gun control, I am not. I opose it (2nd Amendment is MY favorite next to the first). And next time you try to call me something condescending, *please* be a little more creative than that!

Troy Newman did NOT sue Vaughn Flora. Flora was charged by the District Atty's office with intentionally causing physical contact to Newman "in a rude, insulting or angry manner." He was found quilty, per pleading no contest, of one count of misdemeanor battery in Reno County District Court.
He received a 30 day jail sentence, suspended on the condition he pays a fine and court costs. I think it amounts to a little over $100.00
**oops - make that a little over $200.00 ...
