If you didn't view the Planned Parenthood undercover videos I posted May 4 and 11 here and here, you're going to have a tough time finding them.
According to CNSNews.com today, YouTube has yanked the videos after Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles threatened to sue their maker, UCLA student Lila Rose....
On Monday, PPLA sent a cease-and-desist letter to Rose, warning her that "surreptitious" recordings of PPLA employees without consent violates California privacy laws.California law prohibits recording "intentionally and without the consent of all parties to a confidential communication." Violating the prohibition could mean a $2,500 fine, plus civil penalties of $5,000 or more.
In the letter, obtained by Cybercast News Service, PPLA president Mary Jane Wagle demands that Rose stop the undercover investigations, remove existing clips from online video sharing site YouTube, and turn the original tapes and all copies over to Planned Parenthood.
"If you do not agree to take these three steps, PPLA will seek all appropriate legal remedies," Wagle wrote....
"We essentially believe that in 99.9% of the time, our employees do follow the laws," [Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California president Kathy] Kneer said, adding that "attacks" from "anti-choice extremists" have led to national audits of abortion providers.
According to her attorney, Rose has agreed to comply with "the bulk" of PP's requests. CNSNews.com retained a copy of one video that you can view here.
As far as the "99.9% of the time" line, it's a flat out lie.
In 2002, Life Dynamics in TX (where audiotaping without permission is legal) had a caller pose as a 13-year-old girl impregnated by her 22-year-old boyfriend. She called and taped over 800 Planned Parenthood and National Abortion Federation clinics in all 50 states. Over 90% of the clinics offered to help conceal the obvious crime of statutory rape. Hear clips from the calls here:
In related news, it turns out both clinics Rose taped receive Title X funding, which I hope is now jeopardized.
Comments:
OOOOOWEEE, PP is so dirty and filthy!
Posted by: Heather4life at May 15, 2007 6:45 PMI had seen this video before on Death Roe.com.
Posted by: Heather4life at May 15, 2007 6:47 PMSo how often do you all think this PP is knowingly engaging int non-reporting of statutory rape?
Posted by: Cameron at May 15, 2007 6:59 PMProbably every chance they get. The name of the game is $$$$!
Posted by: Heather4life at May 15, 2007 7:02 PMCammie, read my post. Life Dynamics found that over 90% of 800 clinics called in 2002 would have covered up for the 13-year-old/22-year-old.
Now? I'm thinking this last week they're being very careful.
Posted by: Jill StanekA faux phone call does not a non-reporting coverup make.
Posted by: Cameron at May 15, 2007 7:11 PMPP sure sounded like they were trying to cover something up. I wonder if this is part of their training? I'll bet so.
Posted by: Heather4life at May 15, 2007 7:35 PMPP -- what a disgraceful bunch. Unbelievable... we're do these people come from..
I wonder if Lila Rose knows about the Alliance defence fund?
Posted by: jasper at May 15, 2007 7:45 PMOr the Thomas More society that Jill wrote about last week...Tom Brejcha? He'll do it pro-bono.
Posted by: MKjasper, I hope she looks them up!
Posted by: Heather4life at May 15, 2007 7:49 PMMK, even better.
Posted by: Heather4life at May 15, 2007 7:50 PMJill,
Just read your "quote for the day" and the accompanying link...very interesting stuff...
Posted by: MKAll, an attorney from Alliance Defense Fund is serving as her legal advisor.
Posted by: Jill StanekExcellent!
Posted by: MKHopefully Planned Barren hood will be sued into the ground!
Posted by: Heather4life at May 15, 2007 8:02 PMFriends,
PP kills innocent babies in the womb. Everything else they do pales in comparison to this.
Lord, please abolish Planned Parenthood, and soon, in Jesus' Holy Name.

Maximilian Kolbe was pretty interesting. His name was Raymond (Kolbe). When he was 7 he had a vision of Mary. He had just gotten in trouble (again) and had run to a church to have a "chat" with her.
Raymond was known as a mischievous child, sometimes considered wild, and a trial to his parents. However, in 1906 at Pabianice, at age twelve and around the time of his first Communion, he received a vision of the Virgin Mary that changed his life.
I asked the Mother of God what was to become of me. Then she came to me holding two crowns, one white, the other red. She asked if I was willing to accept either of these crowns. The white one meant that I should persevere in purity, and the red that I should become a martyr. I said that I would accept them both. -Saint Maximilian
This means that at age seven, he accepted the priesthood (celibacy/the crown of purity) and martyrdom...It is a common idea in catholicism, these crowns. We know that we will be "crowned" in heaven and the crown of martyrdom is a "biggie".
He was brilliant in school. He excelled at science but gave it all up to become a priest...
Raymond meanwhile developed a brilliant aptitude for studies, particularly excelling in mathematics and physics. Even during his years at the minor seminary, he already was formulating designs for interplanetary flight-designs that he would continue to perfect in his spare time until they were feasibly workable. Father Bronislaus Stryczny remembered years later: "He told me many times that flight to the moon is possible and that he expected to see it in his own lifetime....His own plans which he drew up were so plausible and well worked out that one of his professors suggested that he patent them." This inventive genius was to be a great blessing later in his career.
He started an order/movement called the Knights of Mary or Militia Immactulata. He built a friary in India, and one in Japan. He built the one in Japan high in the mountains, where it was difficult to access. When asked why, he simply said that that was where God wanted it. Everyone thought he was nuts! How could anyone get to it?
But lo and behold, a bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, the city where everyone wanted him to build it. Because it was there, but tucked away in the mountains, it was untouched by the bomb. It is still there today.
Less than two months after arriving in Japan, Kolbe was called back to Poland to attend a
meeting of the Polish provincial Chapter of the Franciscans in Lwow. When he returned to
Nagasaki, he brought two more friars with him. In May 1931, at the insistence of Kolbe, the
Franciscans bought land across town high on a hill at Hongochi-machi. There, they
constructed a simple wooden building, in which they resided and operated their press. This
was the beginning of the friary, which Father Kolbe referred to as the "Niepokalanow of
Japan;" to the Japanese, it was more commonly known as Seibo no Kishi.
He began publishing Catholic Literature.
The principal industry of Niepokalanow, of course, was publishing. At the height of its development ten separate periodicals were being produced here with a combined readership of one and a half million subscribers. The most modern technology and equipment was used, including devices that were invented by the friars themselves. (One of their patents won first prize at two different trade fairs.)
He arrived in Japan on April 24, knowing not one soul there nor a single word of the language. Yet one month later the man of miracles published his first Japanese edition of the Knight, with the help of a Methodist translator (whom he quickly converted) and an old printing press that was in such poor repair that his hands would bleed from operating it.
But he suffered terribly from tuberculosis...
The housing accommodations gave Father Kolbe and his friars no more comfort. They lived in a dilapidated shack with such gaping holes in its roof that a snowfall would blanket everything inside. And as for food - according to Maximilian, the Japanese food was his heaviest penance.
But in so saying, of course, the gentle sufferer was only drawing attention away from his physical agony. Violent headaches were afflicting him constantly. His body became covered with abscesses so painful that he could barely stand or walk. Also his lungs were terribly lacerated from the tuberculosis. One Japanese doctor who examined him and discovered that four-fifths of his lungs were destroyed, said that it was clearly a miracle that the priest could have lived so long with the disease never worsening or improving. Indeed we can say it was an even greater miracle, considering the tremendous amount of work he did in that long period of years.
Then, as Valerie said, he was taken to Auswich...
This time he was sent to the dreaded Auschwitz, and there under an inhuman monster of a commandant named Fritch, he became known as Prisoner Number 16670. Maximilian Kolbe would have been hated enough by his Nazi keepers just for being a Pole. But he was a Catholic priest as well, and his tormentors reserved their finest cruelty for that class of prisoner. In spite of his obviously wretched health, he was assigned the hardest and dirtiest tasks in the camp. Dogs were set upon him supposedly to make him work faster, but actually more to torture the poor man. And should he stumble or fall in his cruel work, as he did many times, he would be beaten and kicked till he lost consciousness.
Then came the fateful day...
The roll call one July morning at Block Fourteen, where Saint Maximilian was being kept, revealed that a prisoner had escaped. Commandant Fritch's policy in such cases was to assemble all the prisoners from the block in the yard where they would stand at attention the whole day. If, by the end of the day, the escapee had not been recovered, ten others would be chosen at random to die in his place - death by starvation.
By three o'clock the prisoner was still not found and Fritch selected his victims. One of them, Francis Gajowniczek, cried out, "My poor wife, my poor children! What will happen to my family!" At that moment another prisoner stepped up to the commandant with hat in hand. Fritch bellowed, "What does this Polish pig want?"
Quote The reply came: "I am a Catholic priest from Poland. I would like to take his place, because he has a wife and children." Unquote
The reply came: "I am a Catholic priest from Poland. I would like to take his place, because he has a wife and children."
A Witness recalls, "From astonishment, the commandant appeared unable to speak. After a moment he gave a sign with the hand. He spoke but one word: 'Away!' Gajowniczek received the command to return to the row he had just left. In this manner Father Maximilian took the place of the condemned man."
From the hour that Father Kolbe descended into the starvation bunker - dark, cold underground cells of torture where human beings were left naked without any food or water to shrivel up and die in unspeakable agony - from that hour a great change came over the horrible place. Its keepers testify that the wailing and cries of suffering that earlier reverberated off the bunker's walls were now converted into prayers and hymns. The change, in fact, was seen throughout the whole camp. Beatings were less frequent and less severe after the holy man's sacrifice. Even Fritch himself took no more hostage - victims to die in the place of escapees.
"Never before," said the guards, "have we seen anything like this." When they made their morning rounds at the bunker to remove starvation - consumed corpses, they would find among the heaps of agonized, half-dead victims one who was always in prayer on his knees or standing, one who was always bright and fully conscious, one who was always peaceful and well kept. That one was Father Kolbe. "As if in ecstasy, his face was radiant. His body was spotless, and one could say that it radiated light," an attendant reports. "I will never forget the impression this made on me."
After two weeks, the saintly priest was still alive and in this same beautiful state. The Germans needed the cell, however, and could wait no longer for him to die. On the morning of August 14, 1941, the director of the infirmary came with a syringe loaded with a lethal dose of carbolic acid. Upon entering the saint's cell, Maximilian cheerfully offered the executioner his arm for the injection, and with it the frail remnant of his life for God. The next day, on the Feast of Our Lady's Assumption, the body of Saint Maximilian Maria Kolbe was cremated, thus ironically fulfilling his dearest dream of immolating himself completely: "I would like to use myself completely up in the service of the Immaculata, and to disappear without leaving a trace, as the winds carry my ashes to the far corners of the world...."
This is the man that Maximilian saved:
Franciszek Gajowniczek
He died on March 13, 1995, at Brzeg in Poland, 95 years old - and 53 years after Kolbe had saved him. But he was never to forget the ragged monk. After his release from Auschwitz, Gajowniczek spent the next five decades paying homage to Father Kolbe, honoring the man who died on his behalf.
In December 1994, the 94-year-old Pole visited St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church of Houston. His translator on that trip, Chaplain Thaddeus Horbowy, said: "He told me that as long as he . . . has breath in his lungs, he would consider it his duty to tell people about the heroic act of love by Maximilian Kolbe."
Father Kolbe`s life serves as eulogy to the millions who perished in World War II.

If you are ever in Chicago, you can visit "Marytown"...they have a holocaust museum that tells the story of this saint. The entire church is dedicated to him. There are also many, many relics of various saints. You can visit online here:

I just love saints that were alive in our century.
Mother Theresa, Padre Pio, Maximilian...it makes it all so much more accessible.
Hope you enjoyed him.

Now if we could just shut down all the churches rampant with pedophelia and statutory rape.
Posted by: Cameron at May 16, 2007 8:51 AMHmmmm....we're up early this morning Cameron.
If we shut down all the churches (and by churches I'm assuming you mean "Catholic" churches") We would have to close down exactly...ummmm...let me see...one, two, four...exactly NONE.
The occasional pedophile priest that used OUR church as his hunting ground hardly constitutes Rampant infiltration...
You are such a geek!
Posted by: MKCameron, we aren't discussing churches and priests. We are discussing abortion clinics. *sigh* Do I have to go drag out my list of corrupt abortionists again? Okay, just for you, I will.
Posted by: Heather4life at May 16, 2007 8:57 AMMK -
Thanks for the Saint Maximillian post! He is one of my favorite saints. I believe he is the patron saint of families.
Have you told Samantha about Saint Gerard Mejella? Some consider him the patron saint of the Pro-Life movement because he is the patron saint of the unborn and expectant mothers.
Posted by: ValerieValerie,
No. Not yet. You take a turn. St. Max is also the patron saint of this century...a job I would NOT want! lol
Posted by: MKAnd don't forget Stanislawa the midwife of Auschwitz, Laura Figuerosa, Rita Federizzi, Blessed Margaret of Castello and Saint Gianna Beretta Molla ---- great people to pray to end baby killing.
Posted by: Thomas Warner, M.D. at May 17, 2007 12:18 AMPP may have yanked her video from her YouTube upload, but it is now all over YouTube, and I am thrilled to see that is the case. By their threat of lawsuit and insistense that the surreptitious recording was more evil than the outragious, illegal and irresponsible actions of their own employees, they have guaranteed this video will forever be available online to anyone who wishes to view it or link to it as proof of PP's criminal activities.
