New Stanek WND column, "Shout and twist"

Ah, the pureness and goodness of abortion.

On July 18, an abortionist who goes by the name of Beket blogged at Daily Kos that getting one is equivalent to attaining angelic status:

[T]hey are kind of like in that old movie "It's a Wonderful Life," in which every time a bell rang an angel got his or her wings. [F]or many a woman the experience of having an abortion isoften one way of claiming her wings - her wings of independence....

So abortion mill workers, who help women become angels, must be so righteous one should wear sunglasses in their presence or risk being blinded by their radiance.

That's what feminists would have us think of the July 17 arrest of Gloria Gray, office manager of West Alabama Women's Center in Tuscaloosa. Reported Ms. Magazine:

Gloria Gray was arrested when a group of anti-abortion protesters trespassed on her property. Gray's attorney made the following statement, "In Gloria's efforts to aid the police and to let them know that the extremists were trespassing on her property, she was arrested for asserting her rights."...

Oh, the injustice, the unfair treatment of police toward the Mother Teresa of abortion workers, aptly named Gloria, who was trying to single-handedly protect her mill from anti-abortion rioters while guiding police, apparently indeed blinded by her presence, to their location....

I contacted the pro-lifer actually involved in the altercation with Gray, David Lackey.

Great article, Jill!

Why were the protesters asked to leave? And why were they trespassing? This is a group that knows better.

Not saying "Glory" was right, just wondering, because we all know that the number one rule of protesting is to STAY OFF THEIR PROPERTY!

Do you suppose they dropped the charges or will she have to go to court? It will be interesting to see how this plays out...

It's funny. It's usually the pro lifer being hauled off in the handcuffs.

Thanks, Bethany!

MK, the parking lot was shared by many buildings, mostly medical. David said he knew they'd be asked to leave, which they were. I don't know whether they went on to set up signs on a public thoroughfare or left altogether.

I wonder how many times she had called the police before, i'm sure it gets annoying.

"It's a Wonderful Life" is one of my favorite movies and to have that abortionist twist it to his liking concerning abortion is truly sick.

That guy is clueless, and excuse the old joke, but if his brain was put into a bird, that bird would fly backwards. Beket's biggest problem appears to be that he has a dark hole in his soul and spirit.

I feel sorry for people like Gloria Gray. She has swallowed hook, line, and sinker, all of the lies of that evil organization she works for. Comparatively, she would have been one of the kool-aid drinkers committing suicide in Jim Jones's cult in 1978. An evil organization with death all around it is what it is.

Hey Jill, do you think there's any chance to convert the abortion mill workers?

Posted by: CT at July 25, 2007 3:49 PM

Jill, the only "angels" perhaps in the abortion mill scenario are the unborn victims themselves....

"34 Jesus said to them: 'The children of this system of things marry and are given in marriage, 35 but those who have been counted worthy of gaining that system of things and the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. 36 In fact, neither can they die anymore, for they are like the angels, and they are God’s children by being children of the resurrection.'" [Lk 20:34-36]

C*****'s sake, quit your whining. If someone were to shoot a pro-choice woman in the face, you'd probably defend them anyway.

Posted by: Valgaav at July 25, 2007 4:08 PM

Valgaav, your notes always bring a smile to my face. Thanks for that. But didn't you love my title? I was so proud of it.

CT, yes, of course. Many have actually been converted.

Posted by: Jill Stanek at July 25, 2007 4:10 PM

Valgaav, That's not the case.

Posted by: Heather4life at July 25, 2007 4:56 PM

I wonder if any of them are truely possessed.

Posted by: Rosie at July 25, 2007 5:38 PM

Valgaav,

Can you give any examples of legitimate pro-life spokespersons, not some lunatic scrounged up by the media, who have defended shootings of abortion providers?
