New Stanek WND column, "Planned Parenthood driven underground"

NOTE: WorldNetDaily.com is running a companion news article to my column today, entitled, "Deception built super-secret abortion clinic."

wnd_logo.gif

I'm not involved in municipal politics, but it would seem to me bad form for a business to sneak its way into a community by falsifying documents and submitting false testimony in planning meetings.

Yet that's exactly how Planned Parenthood came to build its largest abortion mill in the country in Aurora, IL, soon to be known as the "Auschwitz of America."

Six weeks ago, a pro-life construction worker at the 22,000 sq. ft. site became suspicious of the bulletproof glass and surgical suites, an abnormal mix for what a company called Gemini Office Development was touting as a generic medical center with no tenant yet.

b.jpg

The worker alerted Pro-Life Action League, and by July 27, the story was out. According to the Chicago Tribune:

"Frankly, I'm surprised we were able to keep it a secret for so long," said Steve Trombley, president and chief executive officer of Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area. "We didn't want anything to interfere with the opening."

That the clinic was kept hush-hush for so long was no accident. Planned Parenthood adopted the strategy after a 2004 boycott by contractors stalled work for two months on a clinic in Austin, TX.

It turns out Gemini was a front company for Planned Parenthood....

But Gemini withheld that information from the City of Aurora. On each of four construction permit applications throughout 2006 it listed itself as the owner and itself as the tenant.

Then five months ago, on its March 22, 2007, permit application for signage, Gemini stated the tenant was "unknown at this time," which was clearly untrue....

The gall of these people is just outrageous.

What other kind of business would be allowed to operate in such a manner? Can you imagine a dentist or a podiatrist trying to pull the wool over the eyes of city officials so they can establish their business with as little confrontation as possible? They would be run out of town.

Posted by: Andrew at August 29, 2007 11:00 AM

yes, the devil owns PP, it has to lie to survive (just trying to keep everything hush-hush), just like the concentration camps in Nazi germany.

This should be a Nation-wide story, it's too bad there are mostly pro-aborts sitting at the anchor desks. (i.e Katie "what the LAW calls Partial Birth Abortion" Couric)

Posted by: jasper at August 29, 2007 11:14 AM

Is there any news about how the city meeting in Aurora went last night?

Posted by: Bobby Bambino at August 29, 2007 11:19 AM

There is a demand for abortion. Abortion is legal. where would you guys like to see them performed?

If your reponse is just "we don't want abortion anywhere for any reason," getting into a debate about particular clinics seems strange.

For example, would you feel better or worse if Planned Parenthood very openly and with great fanfare opened a modern, state of the art, facilty with the finest available amenities for patient care?

It was an incredible night at the Aurora city council meeting, with all kinds of people speaking from personal experience (women who had abortions, almost had abortions, placed babies for adoption, people who were adopted) and professional insight (an OB/GYN who has treated many botched abortions, a nursing student who witnessed an abortion, abstinence educators) and all manner of facts about Planned Parenthood money-making industry, faulty condoms, enabling child predators, Margaret Sanger's eugenicist agenda, targeting African-Americans (a moving talk by the descendant of a slave woman forced to have sex with her "master" and bear his children) and on and on. Really amazing.

Someone played excerpts from LDI's expose into PP's deliberate avoidance of statutory rape reporting laws. Others presented evidence and legal reasoning to call for an investigation into fraud in the permit application process. Young parents expressed dismay after recently moving to the neighborhood, wanting to raise their children in an environment respecting life and love - raising sons to stand up for truth and daughters to recognize their bodies as specially gifted to bring new life to the world - being undermined by PP's agenda (a book of their propaganda targeting young people was passed around - after being checked out from the children's department of the Aurora public library). One man simply said a prayer and everyone knelt and prayed with him. Others choked up in tears.

122 people registered to speak; not all made it till the end of the meeting at 1:30am, but of all the speakers only two were pro-abortion. It was an amazing outpouring of dedication, experience, knowledge, passion, and bravery. What a night!

Hi Bobby,

This is from Joe in the other thread who attended the meeting last night:

##############################################

I went to the meeting... Here are my "minutes" in the form of a letter I sent my family and friends.

http://tinyurl.com/27dpn8

I had to place it on a technical site I own, so if someone can find a better "home" for it that would be good, I would like to eventually remove it from this area.

Hal,

Just because abortion was made legal doesn't make it right. It was a BAD law. It's murder. Here we go again. Bernard Nathanson. Look him up to read about the concocted lies he and his croonies drummed up to get public support.

Back in '73 there was no technology for women to really see or understand what they were aborting. The public is much wiser and more educated on the brutality of abortion.

If so many people were pro-choice, why was it so difficult to get people to step in and help out PP when the construction workers walked away from continuing to build their sham operation in TX??

As a property tax paying citizen or Aurora, I would be outraged, to know that once again the pro-aborts resorted to outright lies to get what they want. What they want is to make money.

Hal: "There is a demand for abortion. Abortion is legal. where would you guys like to see them performed?"

Cities and Towns block businesses all of the time from moving in, for variuos reasons. If people don't want it, it usually doesn't go in. (i.e. strip joints are legal too, but they're blocked all of time)

Posted by: jasper at August 29, 2007 12:43 PM

Hal,
Of course we want them ALL closed...but doing it this way was insult to injury!

Posted by: mk at August 29, 2007 12:46 PM

Thanks Jasper! That was so inspiring that I'm going to go in front of the Blessed Sacrament right now and say a divine mercy chaplet for all the efforts of those in Aurora. God love you.

Excuse me?
EXCUSE ME?

The Catholic clergy retreat in my town (better known to the locals as "NAMBLAland") just bought property to expand its facilities. It was done using Church funds under the name of a corporation created for that purpose.

MK: "Hal,Of course we want them ALL closed...but doing it this way was insult to injury!"

I can't imagine you'd be any happier if it was done any other way. In fact, my question implies that you'd be even more upset if they did it all "right."

You're looking for any angle to attack. That's okay, but not suprising, nor compelling

Is that all you have Laura? start a protest and see how far you get. The Church has addressed the issues with these priests and paid a heavy price. My priest was suspended for 2 years because of a minor accusation. Laura, you should join the church and follow Jesus, you'll never regret it.

Lauren,

Have any pro-choicers responded to Dr. Nathanson?

Of course not.

Well, Danny did. Wasn't too happy about being duped! But he was hangin' with his friend Scotch Whiskey, and it's hard to know if he meant it...but I think he did.

No one else tho.

They won't. Erin doesn't believe what I wrote about the Catholic Church, no one believes what we write about Bernard Nathanson, they don't watch the videos.

Truth is, we are accused of being closed minded and yet I have watched and read everything that has ever been put on this blog since March.

So you tell me. Who is really interested in the truth and who is really interested in preserving their skewed version of it?

Posted by: mk at August 29, 2007 2:07 PM

Mk or Lauren, what question did you guys ask them about Nathanson? I missed it.

Posted by: Heather at August 29, 2007 2:17 PM

Why didn't any of them comment on the 'FRONTLINE' videos?

Posted by: Heather at August 29, 2007 2:21 PM

..or why didn't they answer the question on whether or not they would consider being an abortionist (except JM)....

Posted by: jasper at August 29, 2007 2:24 PM

Great point MK,

To Hal:

I don't have the greatest memory, but I do remember you clearly stating some time ago that you would stand up and speak out against any abortion mills who have mistreated, harmed or killed women. You seemed shocked to hear that this type of thing goes on even though you have been provided proof any number of times on this site.

You lied. You turned coat and said you would be giving more money to PP to ensure safer abortions.

What a joke. The story of Erica Goode is one of their latest victims which was much talked about on this site. You turn a blind eye and just keep cheering PP on to victory. I hope this diguisting mill never opens, but you and every other pro-choicer are just as responsible as they are for the past and futue deaths of women due to your support. Way to go.

I think cities should be able to deny this underhanded baby killing organization the building if there is any deceit such as was done in Austin and Illinois. It would have to be put into the city contract, but it would keep them from forcing their way into places where they are not wanted.

Posted by: Penny at August 29, 2007 2:49 PM

For the purposes of truth in advertising, the murder mill in Aurora should be called "The Auschwitz Memorial Abortuary."

Murder, Inc, Baby Division, aka Planned Parenthood "clinics" have one more problem. How to recruit enough medical mal-practicioners to carry out the assassinations in these blood money enterprises.

It is very plain they have lost the public relations battle when they have to deceive city administrations in order to get these places built.

Just some thoughts derived from your excellent column.

Planned Parenthood: Crooked as a dog's hind leg.

Thanks for another good read about PP's shenanigans state-side. Here they are a little different since Canada allows the killings, which I personally find shameful, Jill.

They (PP) should be held to account by the local Council. Yank their building permit and make them re-apply truthfully and publicly.

Posted by: M-A at August 29, 2007 2:56 PM

Right on Jill!

It will get worse.

They do want to kill babies, that is their goal.

One must wonder if they are trying to kill a certain few, just one or the many.

King Herod tried it 2000 years ago to stop Christ from being born, wonder who it is this time around?

It is revealing that Planned Parenthood has to operate under the cover of darkness, and while there is still hope for this nation concerning topics such as abortion, evil organizations such as Planned Parenthood will continue to have to do expand underground.

If Hillary were to get elected for president in 08, however, than the Planned Parenthoods of this world would become more bold again and would no longer try to hide about who they really are and what they stand for.

The 08 elections are among the most important in American history. If the she-devil, Hillary, were to get elected in November 08, she would suck all of the life out of the pro-life movement.

It's no surprise they try to keep it secret til it's built, you pro-lifers are basically terrorists, talk about forcing your views on people.

Why not use your resources to fight the causes of abortions instead of the symptoms, cause you'll never win.

BTW, you're really ugly.

Clay B,

Please give the pro-life movement a little more credit. We've survived Hillary's husband and if necessary will survive her too. If only our opponents could so easily be rid of us!
The fact PP must act under cover of darkness and the report of the townhall meeting is encouraging. Did people object to the presense of what they thought would be a medical facility? No. They objected to the facility when they discovered its true purpose. This is people power. This isn't something any pro-life president could start and its something Hillary and her minions can do nothing to stop.

#1. I'm not shocked that women are mistreated, harmed, or killed from time to time. I'm saddened by it, as you are. I've tried to follow your reports of these evil deeds, and I don't remember defending anyone who mistreated or killed a woman. I also would not defend a doctor who was so negligent in his or her performance of his medical treatment that someone was harmed.

I would think that a new facilty like Planned Parenthood is building would be safer for the patients. I'm just assuming this, but it makes some sense.

more modern and comfortable facilty, maybe better doctors. I know all this is foreign to you who believe abortion is murder. But all I was trying to point out is that you criticize the substandard "abortion mills" but also criticize the modern state-of-the-art facilities. You don't like any place where abortions take place, I get that.

For the rest of us, a clean, modern, comfortable facility for abortions is a step forward. yes, like someone mentioned here, like the very fine facilty where my wife's abortions took place (and yes, by the same very fine doctor who delivered our babies)

OK now my head just hit the desk.
Hal, what you are describing is precicely what the pro-aborts were advocating 30 YEARS AGO!!!!

30 YEARS LATER You are still using the words: clean, safe, modern, comfortable, better doctors, and step forward to convince people this is a good thing. What has changed really?? 30 years ago, I am sure there were "better" doctors that performed illegal abortions. Some probably had "cleaner", "safer", "more modern" and "comfortable" offices or (back alleys)than others, but it was still illegal and still wrong.

Why do you think PP's older offices should be any less accountable for how safe, clean and comfortable they are just because they are not new and state of the art???? Do you think it's really ok that they have substandard doctors???
It's all still wrong.

I bet even the pro-choicers have to be upset with this little sham PP pulled.

BTW, If pro-choice is so popular, where were all the Aurora pro-choicers at this meeting declaring how happy they were to have this abortuary in their back yards??? Two women from out of town show up to represent their side??? LOL

Would you buy a house near this facility?????

I bet not. You know your property value would go way down.

I can't imagine how disguisting it would be to see women walk in those doors to abort their babies everytime you go to pick up a movie, go for a bike ride with your kids or go to the grocery store. It gives me the hives. To me, it would be like watching the Nazis lead the Jews into the gas chambers while you just go on with life as usual and turn your head the other way.

Posted by: Sandy at August 29, 2007 10:46 PM

Lauren: Have any pro-choicers responded to Dr. Nathanson?

What did he say? He was definitely fraudulent in "The Silent Scream," i.e. that a 12 week fetus can feel pain, purposefully moves away from surgical instruments, etc.

There's a good bit of arguing about pain later in gestation, but not much at 12 weeks, and at that stage of gestation all movement is reflexive, nothing more.

I also think Nathanson is the "brain waves at six weeks" guy. Oh brother....

Doug

Posted by: Doug at August 30, 2007 12:11 PM

Sally,

The fact is the people of Aurora had no issue with a medical facility, its likely they thought it would house doctor's offices. It was necessary for PP to lie. Why? When the people discovered this was PP, they reacted. The townhall meeting drew more abortion opponents than supporters. Really think about what that is telling us. Oh, a pregnant woman, whatever her income, can receive the medical help she needs without PP. She need only contact a social service agency if she is in need. There's something called medical assistance, and doctors who volunteer their services. I have yet to see poor women denied maternity care in the hospital I work in, or receive any type of second class treatment.

Posted by: Mary at August 30, 2007 1:49 PM

Antichoicers should be very proud - for every 3 women who go to PP for an abortion, 97 go for other health care issues - antichoicers are happy to keep 97 women from getting the care they need as long as they can prevent 3 women from getting the abortion they want. Typical total lack of regard for women, their health and their welfare.

Posted by: TexasRed at August 30, 2007 3:05 PM

TR,

According to the 2005 PP service report, in 2005 PP performed 264,943 abortions, which was 10,000 more than they performed in 2004 and double what they performed in 1995.
PP saw 248 infetility cases and provided prenatal care to 12,548 women.
Other such services such as contraception, pelvic exams, and STD testing may all be provided as part of the abortion "service" so the statistics you mention may be misleading.
A woman entering a PP clinic is 21 times more likely to have an abortion than receive prenatal care. This report said nothing about adoption services or referrals.
