Comments:

I have nothing against Obama, but can these fainting spells all be real? ( Are there any eye witness accounts?) It reminds me of Beatles' fans in the '60's or Michael Jackson's fans in the '80's.

"Man In The Mirror", Michael Jackson:

I'm Starting With The Man In
The Mirror
I'm Asking Him To CHANGE
His Ways
And No Message Could Have
Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World
A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make The
World A Better Place)
Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A CHANGE
(Take A Look At Yourself, And
Then Make A CHANGE)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Oh Yeah!)
Gonna Feel Real Good Now!
Yeah Yeah! Yeah Yeah!
Yeah Yeah!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na,
Na Nah
(Ooooh . . .)

And Janet at the rally before Super Tuesday someone near me DID faint, but I don't think it was because of Obama. It was because we were all standing for two hours (more if you count standing in line) in a crowded stadium of 20,000 people, where it seemed to be sweltering hot (probably from the body heat). I myself felt a little faint after a while.

Anyone catch SNL last night?
They did an awesome parody of the Thursday night debate between Hitlery and Obamba.

I also had tears running down my face as I was laughing so hard at the Rock of Love II skit.

I tried to find that on YouTube Sandy, but found this instead.

You gotta love a guy that laugh at himself...

mk:

Huckabee on SNL was pretty good. I think he's a natural.

I think Pip is right. I remember fainting once.

I got off a plane and was wearing my heavy coat, I kept it on too long because I was preoccupied. I went directly to see my grandfather in the ICU and forgot to take it off and when I came out from visiting, I fell over in a chair. Pretty embarrassing. I think I go too hot.

Posted by: hippie at February 24, 2008 5:32 PM

Oh My Gosh! Huckabee is Hysterical! I want him to be the next president just for the fun of it!

Posted by: mk at February 24, 2008 6:21 PM

Passed out twice last year from having blood drawn.

Posted by: Doug at February 24, 2008 7:35 PM

Doug, 7:35:

On two separate occasions? Let the nurse drawing blood know you're prone to that ahead of time!

Posted by: Janet at February 24, 2008 8:52 PM

Janet - yeah, and I do tell them now, sometimes. Depends how I feel.

First time was for a "SED" (sedimentation rate} test where they have to take blood from two different locations, inside both elbows in my case. Getting lightheaded just thinkin' about it now.

Second was after having a "PICC line" (peripherally-inserted central catheter) put in. Took a few minutes then I was wheeled down to X-ray where they were gonna check that all was in the proper place. Passed out right in the hall.

Weird - it's been a year; it was all for osteomyelitis in two vertebrae and the disk between. Pressure on the spinal nerves and the accompanying back spasms were really something, to say the least.

Some weeks of intravenous antibiotics cleared it up, so it seems, and good as new now.

Doug, we studied that in medical terminology. Sympathies, that sounds really painful!

Posted by: prettyinpink at February 24, 2008 10:16 PM

PIP, thanks. It was a couple months of hell, so to speak. Sure makes one appreciate being fairly "normal."

Posted by: Doug at February 24, 2008 10:23 PM

I'm glad you are better Doug :)

MK, I like Huckabee for his sense of humor. Obviously I would not want him in the white house based on that, but he really is likeable. A friend of the Colbert Report, and it was a constant joke about Colbert being his running mate. Then Conan and Colbert got into it about who made Huckabee, which got Jon Stewart involved. Hilarity. Here is the final conclusion:

I also have a compilation of the three on each other's shows that night (TDS, TCR, and LNCO) on one vid. If any of you are interested let me know and I can send it to you.

Posted by: prettyinpink at February 24, 2008 11:34 PM

Doug,

I'm sorry to hear you had to go through all that. Glad you're feeling better!

Posted by: Janet at February 25, 2008 12:17 PM

Dang! I didnt know you'd been that sick!
*hug*

Posted by: TexasRed at February 25, 2008 3:53 PM

Hey Iva - yeah, it was all of a sudden and there were thoughts of what would happen were I to lose two vertebrae, etc.

A biopsy was done; nothing grew, so while it was treated as a bacteriological deal, we never knew.

Kids usually get osteomyelitis in the large bones of the leg, and for adults the spine isn't uncommon, thought the cause is often a mystery.

Doesn't anyone else have a comment on Obama's "fainting ladies"?

Posted by: Janet at February 26, 2008 7:58 AM

Hey doug

Hell will be much worse then all of that.

Something to look forward to for you?

Zeke, no - I'm not one of the people with the emotional need to believe in such.

jasper’s
quote of the day
The pro-life community has been tracking Obama's support for selective infanticide for quite a while, but only recently has there been a national discussion on this issue.

On May 15, I said on Fox and Friends that there's been a media cover-up on this issue. But now the cat's out of the bag.
