I wrote on March 5 about Fr. Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina's Catholic Church in Chicago. Pfleger has donated to Barack Obama and invited both Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton to speak from his pulpit.

On March 30 Michelle Malkin covered Jeremiah Wright's surprise visit to St. Sabina's, for which he received a standing o.

Tonight The O'Reilly Factor is going to run a story on Pfleger. Should be good.

And looks like we're getting a double header.

The Factor is also going to run video of the Students for Life encounter with George Tiller at a Feminist Majority Foundation event last month held at the National Education Association's DC headquarters. Here's my post on this and the video.

Be warned, however, that word on the street is the Tiller segment may get bumped by another breaking story The Factor is working on.

I couldn't bring myself to watch the Tiller video. I thought, "What's it matter? That guy could rape a Girl Scout on the court house lawn in front of every Shriner in town, and he'd get away with it." But OR-W now says two of the medical board stooges who have been giving him a walk have stepped down amid scandal.

Can it be Teflon Tiller's non-stick surface is wearing thin?

Perhaps now, finally, the Archidocese will be forced to deal with Fr. Pfleger rather than allowing him to continue to live in his 1960's Radical Activist dream world.

Hisman, I think I see where you are coming from on this, but I think that it could be very dangerous to put the Jews on a pedastool, as though they are somehow *more chosen* than the elect of the gentiles. I know that's probably not what you are trying to say, but it does sound very much like it could be close to this type of mindset.

God is not a respecter of persons. There are Jews who are Jews inwardly, and there are Jews who are Jews outwardly. The inward Jew is what matters, and we who are gentiles can be a Jew inwardly. How can you be a Jew inwardly? By having been circumcised, not in the body, but in the heart.

This was the case even in the Old Testament, where God did not allow certain Jews to enter the promised land. They were not inwardly Jews, because they didn't have faith and trust in God. It wasn't because they weren't physically Jews, but because they weren't inwardly Jews.

And it is confirmed in the New Testament, when it says:

For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither [is that] circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

Why was Abraham, a Jew, justified in the eyes of God? It was through faith that he was justified.

I don't know much - well, anything really- about Louis Farrakhan, but I watched the clip.

I see that he is definitely making a distinction between "Jews", as a whole, and "false Jews". This is not a slur against the Jewish nation, or Jews as a whole, not at all.

It would be like me saying that there were false Christians out there, who are promoting hatred (you know, like the Westboro Baptist church), "wicked, false Christians". I wouldn't be saying that I hated Christians as a whole, but that I hated what these people were doing to represent Christianity to the world.

I do not think that people would see that (talking about false, wicked Christians) as nearly as controversial as this man saying "wicked, false Jews".

Please understand that I know nothing of Louis Farrakhan other than what I have seen on the video clip, so he may represent some views I REALLY disagree with- please understand that I am not defending him as a person, but simply saying that in that particular clip of this man, I see nothing to get angry about. This verse makes a distinction between "Israel", and "the election". There were those Jews who were not chosen by God, and were faithless, and ended up not inheriting the promised land. And there were also those Jews who were chosen by God, who were faithful, and who inherited the promised land.

The physical body that we have makes no difference.

“For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, they which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed” (Romans 9:6-8).

Those of us who accept Christ as Savior are counted for the seed of Abraham! This is huge!

Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant (definition of remnant: A small surviving group of people) shall be saved! Not all of them, simply based on their ethnic heritage.

Yeah, and back during the Holocaust time, the Jews were hated and seen as "evil" because they owned all the big businesses during the Depression, and middle/lower-classes blame the Jews for their economic hardships.

The Bible is very clear that WE are counted as Abraham's seed when we are saved.

The Bible says clearly that no one can come to the Father but by Christ, and that if a man denies Christ before men, Christ will deny him before the Father. This applies to Jews just as well as us.

This is the case today as well.

It is not about the ethnicity of the people. It is about their heart. The Bible clearly says that the Israelites who did not have faith, did not go to Heaven. Please reread the Bible verses I posted. They so clearly emphasize the point that Israelites who reject Christ, Israelites who do not have faith, those are the Israelites who will not go to Heaven. And in the same manner, those of us who are NOT Jews, those of us who do not have faith, who reject Christ, those of us will not go to Heaven either.

There is no difference between us and the Jews. We are all people, sinners, who need Christ for salvation. He is the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Him.
