Here's another mental health break post.
This one is all over the news today. Actress and playwright Tricia Walsh-Smith has posted a sad, funny, slightly shocking video on YouTube outting the guy divorcing her, Philip Smith, president of the Shubert Organization, "the largest theater owner on Broadway," according to AOL News, adding:
She goes through their wedding album on camera, describing family members as "bad" or "evil" or "nasty," and talks about how her husband is allegedly trying to evict her from their luxury apartment. She also makes embarrassing claims regarding their intimate life, and then calls his office on camera to repeat those claims to a stunned assistant.
So here we see the "All's fair" and "A woman scorned" lines taken to the YouTube generation. She may be a woman, but she has cojones.

Refreshing change of topic. The Pope was not getting a very friendly reception!
Posted by: anonymous at April 16, 2008 2:10 PMI take marriage seriously. Till death do you part. So you better really, really think long and hard before getting married.
Posted by: Jess at April 16, 2008 2:10 PMMy friends parents are getting a divorce after about 23 years of marriage. it is a very, very sad situation.

Jess,
Oddly enough I decided to watch that video through to the end. Sad. Very Sad. If I were his ex-girfriend, I would definitely stay his ex.
How pathetic.
OMG, Jess, you're right. Yuck!
Posted by: Jill Stanek at April 16, 2008 2:51 PMHAHA! Go her, TAKE HIM TO THE CLEANERS, GIRL! He sounds like a lowlife a**hole.
Posted by: Lyssie at April 16, 2008 4:47 PMSorry about the language, Jill, I just realized....If perhaps Bethany or MK could change that to "a**hole", that would be more acceptable. :P
Posted by: Lyssie at April 16, 2008 4:48 PMJess,
Thanks for the laugh!! oh...my....goodness!!!
That was too funny!!!!!
(I'm really, really glad they cut that video off when the did!!! My mouse was ready!!!
Tricia Walsh-Smith seems like a gold-digger to me. How sad for her husband! I hope he kicks her to the curb!!! How many days, Jill, 'till we see her with suitcases in hand???
Posted by: JLM at April 16, 2008 7:59 PMI don't know JLM, it seems to me like she went into this marriage and honored her wedding vows. I think it was the husband who treated her like an object, just throw it out when you're bored.
But that's just my opinion.
Posted by: Jess at April 16, 2008 8:10 PMI know, but how many times did she mention his pension she would get, and what bank account the money would go to, the property in London, etc. I didn't hear her say anything about how she loved him and was hurt because he didn't love her....she seemed a bit "doped up" on some anti-depressant or something, too!.....
Posted by: JLM at April 16, 2008 8:15 PMShe probably hates him now that he turned out to be such jerk. And she does deserve the pension. She put up with the cheating jerk as her husband.
Posted by: Jess at April 16, 2008 8:35 PMI think she lied. She said they never had sex...which means, of course, that the marriage was never consummated.....idiot!!!! THAT should go over well in court!!!
Posted by: JLM at April 16, 2008 8:43 PMThe Shubert Theater - Broadway, NYC - "Spamalot" - awesome.
Posted by: Doug at April 16, 2008 10:02 PMWoooooo Spamalot!!! I took my husband to the Chicago showing for his birthday. Awesome.
Posted by: Hieronymous at April 16, 2008 10:14 PMUh, did anyone mention that he bankrolled all three of her off-Broadway disasters? That the rags describe him as "supportive" and her as "unstable?"
I don't know if anyone here is familiar with "tweaks," but the movements, the ranting sentences that just end at irrational points, and the whitewalls give her away.
There's a really bad series on HV1 called "I Know My Child's a Star." On it was a person named Rocky who just RADIATED chaos. When I watched the video of Tricia Walsh-Smith, the parallels really smacked me in the face.
Is it me, Or are there inevitable tragedies like Marilyn and Anna Nicole, and just some chicks you wish would flame out where you don't have to watch them? That's kind of how this Trisha person strikes me. I sympathize with her husband for tolerating her drama and trauma as long as he did. If that what she's like on camera, I can only imagine what she's like in private. (She's been dubbed "Heather Mills II")
Posted by: Laura at April 16, 2008 10:42 PMIt may be because I'm 45, but I've really lost any taste for drama queens.
I LIKE tranquility, boredom and oatmeal.
Posted by: Laura at April 16, 2008 10:55 PMJLM, she was willing to consumate it he wasn't.
Laura, that's just because you haven't met me yet. Trust me honey, you're going to live like you've never lived before : D
Posted by: Jess at April 16, 2008 10:58 PMAnd besides, if they didn't want kids why have sex anyway?
Posted by: Jess at April 16, 2008 11:01 PMI think there are some things that should stay private - not smeared across YouTube
