Sunday funnies
MSM political cartoons often reveal ideological hypocrisy from 1 to the next.
This week's offer many examples, but I'll focus on just 1 left-brained schizophrenic split.
The 1st cartoon notes how MSM (correctly yet gleefully) portrays the TX FDLS polygamist sect as raping underage girls in the name of God.
by Nick Anderson for the Houston Chronicle...

Compare that to cartoons 2 and 3, which turn a blind eye to a KS Planned Parenthood abortion mill that has been alleged to cover up rapes of underage girls by aborting them without reporting the abuse to authorities.
The Kansas City Star cartoonist goes so far as to portray PP as doing the work of God with KS DA Phill Kline as a Draconian-Frankensteinian figure after it, and then portrays Kline as Hannibal Lecter being restrained by the rule of law...
by Lee Judge for the Kansas City Star...

The KCS, despite being a past recipient of PP's Maggie Award (for "exceptional contributions by the media and arts and entertainment industries that enhance the public's understanding of reproductive rights") apparently showed a smidgeon of restraint and did not publish the 1st cartoon but did publish the 2nd, although it has since removed it from its site.

There is no case against Planned Parenthood.
Your little buddy Phill Kline has totally destroyed the evidenciary chain of custodty to the extent that he could lose his present crappy little position - not to mention his law license:
Suits question how Kan. prosecutor handled abortion records
By JOHN HANNA – 1 day ago
TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — An investigator said he kept edited records from abortion clinics in a Rubbermaid container in his dining room for several weeks. Others, according to testimony, stored them briefly in cars and homes and copied them at a downtown Kinko's.
How prosecutor Phill Kline and his employees handled patient records is a major issue in a legal dispute before the Kansas Supreme Court. A Planned Parenthood clinic is trying to force Kline to return patient files that could be a key part of his criminal case against the clinic.
The clinic, Comprehensive Health, has the support of Attorney General Steve Six, whose office said in a court filing that Kline's handling of the documents was "appalling." The clinic also wants the Supreme Court to consider citing Kline for contempt.
Kline, once Kansas' attorney general and now the Johnson County district attorney, argues the records were handled safely, that patient privacy was never at risk and that Planned Parenthood wants to keep him from prosecuting its Overland Park clinic.
As district attorney, Kline filed 107 charges against the clinic, alleging it performed illegal abortions and falsified documents.
Almost all details about the dispute remained secret for 11 months because the Supreme Court had kept separate lawsuits filed by Planned Parenthood and the attorney general's office under seal. On Friday, the court unsealed them, making hundreds of pages of documents public.
"I am pleased that, finally, the truth is coming out regarding the nature and extent of Mr. Kline's activities," said Pedro Irigonegaray, an attorney for Planned Parenthood.
Abortion opponents said the documents showed that since Kline left the attorney general's office, his successors have not been aggressive in pursuing abortion providers and has even protected them.
Kline noted that a district judge who once supervised his investigation of Planned Parenthood gave him permission to transfer records to Johnson County before he took over there in January 2007. He said such information-sharing is routine in law enforcement.
"This was harassment," he said of Planned Parenthood's lawsuit. "It's a criminal defendant suing a prosecutor personally."
Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit against Kline in June 2007 and asked the Supreme Court to place it under seal, a request the justices honored. The attorney general's office filed its own suit two months later, also under seal, naming the judge who had once supervised Kline as the defendant.
It's highly unusual for the Supreme Court to seal a case. Later, both Kline and the clinic said the suits didn't need to remain sealed.
The court scheduled arguments from attorneys in Planned Parenthood's lawsuit for June 12. It told lawyers involved in the attorney general's suit to file written arguments by May 22 on whether it should be dismissed.
"Our goal has always been to protect women's private medical records," Six spokeswoman Ashley Anstaett said.
But Kline spokesman Brian Burgess noted that the Supreme Court said it did only "minimal" editing to protect patient privacy before unsealing the cases. He said the records at issued contained no identifications.
Kline, an anti-abortion Republican, began investigating Planned Parenthood's Overland Park clinic and another operated in Wichita by Dr. George Tiller in 2003, months after he became attorney general.
His attempt to obtain information from about 90 patients' files led to a lengthy legal battle. Eventually, the Supreme Court spelled out how those records would be handled, and Kline was able to review edited copies.
Kline lost his 2006 re-election bid to an abortion rights supporter, but Johnson County Republicans picked him to fill a vacancy in the county prosecutor's job.
Kline didn't pursue a criminal case against Planned Parenthood's clinic as attorney general but, three days before leaving that office, he forwarded edited records from 29 patients' files to the Johnson County district attorney's office.
Planned Parenthood contends Kline had a duty to give up control of the records when he left the state office. It said he disregarded "clear requirements" spelled out by the Supreme Court and should be punished with a contempt citation.
Shawnee County District Judge Richard Anderson, who had supervised Kline's investigation as attorney general, declined to do so or order the return of the records. He said during a closed April 2007 hearing that before Kline left the state office, he had given him permission to forward records "to any other prosecutor" who might work with Kline.
Kline not only forwarded Planned Parenthood records to Johnson County, but edited versions of records from Tiller's clinic as well.
When Planned Parenthood and the new attorney general asked the Supreme Court to intervene, the handling of patient records became an issue. The high court eventually appointed a special master to gather evidence.
That evidence included testimony of Kline deputies, who acknowledged moving copies of records to their cars to transport them and briefly store them, and keeping them briefly at their homes and, in one case, a garage.
Investigator Jared Reed, who followed Kline from the attorney general's office to a job in Johnson County, said he stored some records in a Rubbermaid container in his apartment dining room from early January to mid-February 2007.
According to a transcript, he said during a Dec. 3 hearing, "Looking back at it, it kind of strays from the normalcy of, you know, chain of custody of evidence."
The special master's report also said testimony indicated that, in the hours before Kline's successor was sworn in, a top aide decided to have documents obtained from Tiller's clinic copied so they could be brought to Johnson County.
Reed and another investigator went to the nearest Kinko's. Three employees were present but didn't participate and, according to the report, "No one was able to look at the records."
"It does not appear that any of the attorneys involved with the investigation at the attorney general's office saw a need, whether legally required or not, to handle the transfer of investigative materials to the Johnson County district attorney in a manner that stood up the highest scrutiny," the report said. "Surely such scrutiny should have been expected."
But the report said that as the incoming district attorney, Kline initially was denied access to a locked storage area. An employee considered the office "wide open" and wanted to assess security, considering Reed's apartment safer for storage.
The report also considered allegations by Planned Parenthood that Kline or someone working for him as attorney general leaked medical records to Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly before the 2006 election.
When Kline appeared on "The O'Reilly Factor" just four days before Kansans voted, O'Reilly said he had seen abortion records from Kansas and criticized Tiller. The special master said the claim that documents were leaked rests on "suspicion and assumptions that are not supported by facts."
Here we have anti-choicer Jill Stanek, condemning the insane anti-choice FLDS cult for denying young girls their basic human rights and treating them like breeding stock, while praising insane anti-choicer Phill Kline for his effort to deny young girls their basic human rights and treat them like breeding stock. The hypocrisy of anti-choicers knows no bounds.
Posted by: reality at May 4, 2008 12:16 PMGiven the situations of the girls who are part of Phil Kline's investigation, I don't think they were especially happy with what they went through either, having to procure abortions and all.
Posted by: Janet at May 4, 2008 12:27 PMApparently the hypocrisy and dishonesty of the abortion mafia in Kansas knows no bounds. Why should they respect the law or the truth when their overlord, Killer Tiller, owns the state?

Really?
What are the situations of the girls in Phill Kline's investigation?
Laura: The usual variety of situations that cause a girl to get an abortion, you know..... Killing babies is not and never will be a human right no matter how many times it is legalized, so don't try to make Phill Kline the bad guy here. That's a joke. If abortion makes you happy, that's your problem. Abortion doesn't make everyone happy.
Posted by: Janet at May 4, 2008 3:33 PMMr Kline is merely trying to enforce the law, and checking to see if abuse was not reported, which is required by law (if a girl is the victim of abuse, the people at PP or a school or anywhere is required to report this. PP thinks they are above the law and rarely if EVER report these cases.

Little Philly may be in some serious trouble:
Kline's APPALLING record as an appointed DA:
Posted by: Laura at May 5, 2008 12:18 AMIn the science fiction film, "Fantastic Voyage", scientists develop a miniature submarine that travels through the body.
If I were an observer on this tiny vessel and was injected into a pro-abort's brain, I can only imagine what I would see, here's my report....
A lot of dead ends, twisted vessels, cells in conflict sending distored messages, huge disconnects between the various lobes, the remnants and carcasses of good thoughts left by the way side. Even my GPS can't find its way since the brain waves directing the traffic within itself produces such an entropic wavelength signature that all correct instructions aren't even detected or read. This is so contrary and utterly devastating to the original design instructions, the brain loses it's own sense of self-awareness and is fully submitted to a force it was not even aware of. It's a brain that was obvioulsy hacked and a toxic and pernicious virus called moral relativism and atheism absorbed into each and every cell. Yes, this evidence of self-deception appears to be voluntary in nature as the heart gates were still intact but not being activated and seem to be "hardened" in place. The brain was stuck in a do-loop of never ending subroutine and code repetitions that appear to be getting instructions from a code with the acronyms, "CNN", "PP", NARAL", and "NOW". We scientists have classified this disease, "Liberalism" and placed this under the main heading of False God Faith Syndrome.
What are the major symptoms? Well here are a few:
1. Being able to convince oneself that one can be "pro-choice" while simultaneoulsy not being pro-abortion. Our observatios reveals a callous membrane growth on the frontal lobe. We have seen this symptom is numerous other victims. Two notable of whom are Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Of course, these two victims' conditions have evidence of extreme complications which were irritated by blind ambition. We think Hillary's condiiton was exacerbated by being married or should we say tortured by one Bill Clinton. We are not sure of Obama's causitive, however, there is evidence that he also experienced torture by a "typical" white person. Treatment by a witch doctor named "Wright" over a 20 year period seemd to exacerbate the symptoms but appears to have induced an amnesia like symptom of ever having been treated. We have also heard reports of psychotic episodes and illusions of grandeur.
2. Believing that evolution is science when in fact is takes more faith to believe in evolution than it takes to believe that there's a swiss cheese production facility on the moon, an idea put forth by one Mr. Robert Berger. Excuse me for a second, my body is morphing into a new species. I think I'm turning into "Iron Man". Oh, sorry, it was gas.
3. Believing that we all were result of Pan Spermia or that Gomer Pyle really was not an alien.
4. Believing that there is "no god". Now this really appearst to be the goal of the virus. If the virus is especially successful, the moral realtivism sympton kicks in which then feeds the pro-abortion mindset. Another indication is the loss of moral conviction which is then replaced by a mailicous hatred towards anyone trying to help them out of this situation. In clinical trials and observation, this is a confirmed pathogenic process which as of yet we have found very difficult to treat. Sexual addiction, more often than not, accompanies the symptoms along with the violent assertion that one is extremely happy. Similar symptoms are found in cases we reviewed of dead alcoholics.
Well, this is only a smidgeon of what we have found. We are only scratching the surface.
There is hope on the horizon, however. Many victims of this insidious disease have found that when they open the heart gate and DECIDE to listen and be healed, the light shines forth and appears to align the brain cells in such a way as to correct all malfunction and restore te original design intent.
The name of the medicine is called TRUTH and His name is the name above all other names, Jesus Christ marketed by a compnay that has been around, well, forever, called Heaven......

Posted by: prettyinpink at May 5, 2008 1:41 AMThe state of Texas took those hundreds of children in an act of naked fascism.
It was the first ever "class action removal of children" based upon just one false claim of sexual abuse (the girl that called in the false report lives in Colorado Springs and is 26 and has never lived in a FLDS commune).
I hope that group sues the state of Texas for $1 billion and gets all of their children back within the next month!

Laura, interesting article, linking the PP scandal to the Tiller scandal.

Posted by: PeachPit at May 5, 2008 8:55 AMYeah, Zeke, because the gads of pregnant young girls wasn't a tip-off that something awry was going on. Wow, as long as women and girls are submitting, you really don't care what's being done to them, do you Zeke? I agree that if in fact the person who made the call was lying, then she also should bear the burden of legal action against her. But remember, any police officer on the way to a call from 911 that sees another crime in progress has the right to stop it. So while this person may have committed a crime, so did FLDS. The police just happened to be there at the time. If I were to prank the police and say there's something happening at "such and such", but it's untrue, and they went there and ACTUALLY found a crime in progress, they would be required to stop it. But I would still get in trouble if the thing I said wasn't happening, even though other crimes were stopped.

Lyssie: Wow, as long as women and girls are submitting, you really don't care what's being done to them, do you Zeke?
It's a common thread with the Zekester, as with last January:
Most girls are emotionally unstable to begin with
Posted by: Doug at May 5, 2008 8:56 PMI think Zeke's just worried because in 20 years, people will be taking his children away(if he even finds a woman brainwashed and degraded enough to have them with him). Of course what was done to FLDS was wrong- because now he knows it'll be that much more difficult to get away with abusing HIS children. It makes complete sense. Don't worry Zeke, in twenty years someone else will enjoy making the phone call about your tyrannical, abusive running of your household. Just please, don't turn out like that Fritzl guy in Austria. I know the idea of building a "rape cave" in your basement is the ultimate idea to put the women you own in their places, but please, restrain yourself.
