Obama's absent minded law professor

Here's a good one.

colb.jpg

The 1,710 word book-column at FindLaw.com looks impressive on the surface, written by Sherry Colb, "a Professor of Law and Charles Evans Hughes Scholar at Cornell Law School."

Cornell, my.

The only problem with Colb's attempt to clear Obama of his pro-infanticide position is she referenced the wrong bill. I couldn't believe it....

Colb linked to "a 2002 proposed law entitled the "Illinois Induced Birth Infant Liability Act," Senate Bill 1661.

But the correct comparison to the federal Born Alive Infants Protection Act would be Senate Bill 1662, "Born-Alive Infant Defined."

No wonder the bills didn't match up.

Couldn't have been purposeful misrepresentation, could it?

This liar also worked as a clerk for Justice Harry A. Blackmun, the author and inventor of Roe.

You are always welcome to leave PPC. :)

Carla, perhaps I should give the professor fair warning that she has been targeted for harrassment or harm by an extremist hate group, due to her expression of opinion, before I leave.

PPC, Hal, all pro-aborts: Enough of saying you're tired of this topic. I heard you and it doesn't matter. This is an immensely important topic to pro-lifers and I daresay independents who aren't heartless like you. Comments to this effect will be deleted henceforth, as we started yesterday.

Hal and PPC, if Mr. Obama or his campaign made a mistake, why don't they admit it? On the one hand, an honest mistake would be an admission of almost unbelievable ignorance. On the other hand, continual deliberate deception to the nation Mr. Obama says he cares about is again another reason that he is unworthy of their trust.

Maybe Mr. Bush is mule-headed (sometimes a good thing, in my opinion), but Mr. Obama seems to be a snake. Am I a parrot, or are Hal and PPC ostriches?

Sorry, Jill. You posted your comment in the time that I was preparing mine. But I daresay that if Hal and PPC submit something intelligent and relevant, your moderators will accept it.

Jon, no, you're fine. You had a great line, "Am I a parrot, or are Hal and PPC ostriches?"

Posted by: Jill Stanek at August 15, 2008 12:42 PM

Jill, I think it would be interesting if you did a post on the McCain thing: a pro-choice vp would be fine, but not a pro-gay one? I'd like to hear your perspective on it.

Posted by: prettyinpink at August 15, 2008 12:47 PM

That is an interesting story PIP. McCain can anger moderates (who support gay rights) and his base (who don't want a pro-chocie VP) in the same quote.

I used to like the guy, too.

Is she also a graduate of the Harvard School of Language Obfuscation?

Don't think it a mistake Jill. The lies go out, Liberals believe them, digest them, defend them, and make them a part of their lying menus and agenda. They also know that once a lie is out their, only more lies will keep the lie alive.

Sort of like the church has to keep telling myths to buttress the established ones, HM?

Posted by: phylosopher at August 15, 2008 3:59 PM

Phylosoher:

Specifically what lies do you claim the church tells?

The immaculate conception, virgin birth, the crucifixion, the resurrection, what?

Please explain so I can rip you a new one.

Prof. Colb has issued a correction and refers both to NRLC and Huffington Post as competing sources at the end of her original column. The Huffington Post item is a laugher, but shows that the Dems are worried that this "coverup" story may have legs.

But of course, D Avila. And not just legs. Tentacles, too.

Once again, we see the proabort anger over their hero's dark side being exposed to the light. And in typical proabort fashion, they try to stiffle the debate when they know they can't win it. And that's their only reason for continuing to post on this forum, apparently.

Doyle,

Too many people aren't even able to read at a grade level that newspapers are written at, yet alone to research the issues themselves, thanks to the purposeful dumbing down of America's school systems.
(The left and liberal agenda really knew what they were doing when they did that!)
Now they have a bunch of folks who will believe every news blurb they hear, or, even worse, vote for a candidate based solely on his race or appearance.
