I cannot even keep up with all the articles and news shows reporting on BornAliveTruth.org, Barack Obama's opposition to the IL Born Alive Infants Protection Act, our Gianna ad, and Obama's anti-Gianna ad.
Here are some:

Beliefnet.com, "Obama lies in his abortion campaign ad"
Comments:
They're also talking about it on Hannity and Colmes right now.
Posted by: lauren at September 22, 2008 8:11 PMSo much for a non-issue that no one cares about.

Just out of curiosity, what is a mullet troll?
This is unbelievable, JIll. Shows that you are doing the right things. You never gave up and now you're being rewarded. Praise the Lord.
Posted by: Andy at September 23, 2008 2:43 AMDee,
Gosh, that's a looooong story. (BETHANY? LINK TO THE PARTIES????)
There is a running joke here about my secret love of mullets (the fish, not the haircut) If you haven't already done so, click on the link in the right hand column that says "Snap, Who We Are" and you see under my picture that it says I have replaced my fondness for lemmings with an obsession for mullets.
It all started months (years?) ago, when we were having an on site party...we have them every once in while (BETHANY? PARTY LINKS)...You'd have to read the thread yourself to understand...although, even then, you'll probably still be scratching your head. (DOUG, LINK TO THE PARTIES???)
So, anywho, I can't remember who now, but someone put up a link recently, to a site that will rename you, (ala Sarah Palin) as if you were one of Sarah's kids. She was named Mullet Troll (OH YES, I THINK IT WAS KEL...)and realized right away that the name should be mine...and the rest is, as they say, history.
ANYONE REMEMBER WHEN THOSE PARTIES WERE????
Posted by: mk (aka mullet troll) at September 23, 2008 5:30 AMDee,
Google Sarah Palin Name Generator. Hilarious!!
If I were Sarah's daughter my name would be Stepper Choke Palin. Etc. Etc. Etc. :)
Mine is Crop Schooner....
Posted by: JKeller at September 23, 2008 6:05 AMDeeL,
Heres the link to the party (and a knock down drag out with me and midnite...wow, I'd forgotten how ugly that got)...scroll down to 6:25pm and read from there...

Posted by: Bethany at September 23, 2008 6:42 AMGood Morning JKeller...I mean Crop Schooner!!
Also a Happy Tuesday to you, Bethany!!
Posted by: Carla at September 23, 2008 6:48 AMAhhhh...the disinfecting light of truth shining on where the Obaminator cast his shadows of lies and doubt.
Now, if somebody STILL votes for this scumbag after reading / hearing the info on the ad...that would be real CHOICE...a decision to support infanticide to it's very extreme.
I can think of very few people here who would still support this smooth talker ...
Posted by: RSD at September 23, 2008 7:05 AMThanks, Carla...I hope you have a terrific Tuesday as well!! :)
RSD,
Unfortunately there are still millions.
MK et al.,
Thanks for the name explanation. Read the thread, that was one nasty fight, I'm glad you two kissed and made up. The wedding seemed like lots of fun though. I wish I could have been there, I think I would like partying with you girls, sans the cigars, YUCK.
My first Palin name was Plate Jungle, but who wants to be a forest of plates? I redid it and got Gripper Carom. I'm not sure what that is but it has a nicer ring, don't you think?
Posted by: DeeL at September 23, 2008 8:58 AMI like Gripper Jungle.
Posted by: Carla at September 23, 2008 9:07 AMPlate Gripper?
Posted by: DeeL at September 23, 2008 9:20 AMNevermind, that makes me sound food obsessed.
Posted by: DeeL at September 23, 2008 9:21 AMDeeL,
Too funny. Yeah, that was some blow out. You'll notice it was back in May of 2007. Many of us were still newbies. That was the last time I ever used the phrase pro abort...I've learned a lot since then.
Although I still hold that killing your own child and feeling no guilt is a sociopathic behavior...never mind, not going there again.
Posted by: mk (aka mullet troll) at September 23, 2008 9:44 AMMK,
I agree that pro abort is definitely a negative (although stated in a positive), and that there really are people who are arguably better defined as pro choice. That being said, I do think a lot of people who really are pro abortion hide behind the pro choice label. Doug, for example posted some pretty vile views on another thread yesterday. I would definitely be comfortable calling him pro abortion, rather than pro choice. I have, however, noticed a growing trend in calling us anti-choice, versus pro-life, or anti-abortion, so I am thinking about going with an anti-life tag at this stage. Ho hum, the trouble with labels.
Oh Doug, what have you done now????
Which thread DeeL?
Posted by: mk (aka mullet troll) at September 23, 2008 10:49 AMThanks for the encouragement all!
Posted by: Jill Stanek at September 23, 2008 11:53 AMMK
On the Old Poll/ New Poll thread.
Around 2:36 PM on the 21st he started advocating for abortion as a means to reduce child abuse. Ugh!
Posted by: DeeL at September 23, 2008 12:39 PMDee L,
Since you didn't seem real happy with your first two names, I put in your first name with initial and came up with Commando Coalfire! I like that best!
If you put in first name, first and middle, or first and last, or other combinations, you come up with different names. This Palin name generator is too funny! I've done all combinations of my name and can't decide which I like best!
Falter Locust, Seam Marauder, Halter Grasshopper, or Strangle Thicket.
What do you think?
Janet,
Commando? LOL Does that I mean I have to stop wearing underpants? It thats the case then I think you have to go with the Halter Falter ; )
Here's a neat little story about Sarah Palin, John McCain, and special needs kids:
Posted by: Doyle at September 23, 2008 5:46 PMDoyle,
Thanks for that link. What a nice gesture the Palins and McCains made.
Note if you click on Abortion Staff on the left side, you'll find photos of the workers at the local abortuary in Knoxville.
Lord have mercy on us all.
Posted by: Janet at September 23, 2008 6:17 PMDeeL,
No. Please, no. Lol. ;^)
Janet,
We could be an interesting pair if we walked down the street together! ; )

MK, no time like the present...
I've found that spontaneous parties that spring up on the desire of the participants often are more fun that long-planned, heavily orchestrated ones.
Dee: Doug, for example posted some pretty vile views on another thread yesterday. I would definitely be comfortable calling him pro abortion, rather than pro choice. Oh please - it was not "vile," just sensible, and it wasn't to do with being pro-life or pro-choice, in the first place.
You're right, though, about name-calling and labeling, and that's why pro-life and pro-choice are the best terms.
For every "pro-abortion" Pro-Choicer, there's a "woman-slaver" Pro-Lifer.
Posted by: Doug at September 24, 2008 2:06 PMDoug,
Oh please, yourself. I find nothing sensible about your views and they are vile.
Doug -You're right, though, about name-calling and labeling, and that's why pro-life and pro-choice are the best terms.
Only when they actually apply. With you, I believe anti-life accurately describes it.

Just when I thought I'd heard it all....
Posted by: Janet at September 25, 2008 12:43 AMDoug,
Just curious, since happiness appears to be your main goal in life, I'm wondering how Obama is going to make your life happier?
Doug: "You're right, though, about name-calling and labeling, and that's why 'pro-life' and 'pro-choice' are the best terms."
I agree, and I make an effort to use both of those terms. When someone starts blathering about others being "anti-choice" or "anti-women" (and I don't mean you, Doug), then and only then do I break out the "additive inverse" terms.
Posted by: bmmg39 at September 25, 2008 3:21 PM"For every "pro-abortion" Pro-Choicer, there's a "woman-slaver" Pro-Lifer."
(Young Whippersnapper) Janet: Just when I thought I'd heard it all....
See how that works..?

BMMG, it'd be cool to have a chatroom here where we could have a "free-for-all" hour or something, and just swear and curse and call names and be gratuitously crazy to our hearts' content.
Posted by: Doug at September 26, 2008 2:53 PMJust curious, since happiness appears to be your main goal in life, I'm wondering how Obama is going to make your life happier?
Janet, happiness is everybody's goal in life. Our motivation is to try for that which we want the most from among our available options (or that for which we have the least distaste).
I think it's false to say that anybody "wants to be unhappy." I think that happiness by definition is what is wanted, i.e. if something is wanted, and achieved, it makes no sense to say it made the person "sad" just like that. Overall, there has to be a gain in happiness somewhere in there.
Good question - how would Obama make me happier?
Pro-Choicer Presidents would nominate better Supreme Court justices, IMO, and that's about it.
I've always liked McCain a lot. I'm so cynical and pessimistic about gov't these days that other than the Supreme Court thing no biggie for me who wins.
Doug,
Our motivation is to try for that which we want the most from among our available options (or that for which we have the least distaste).
So, your happiness involves going after what you want. I can see how one would say that.
What I don't understand is how having "the best Supreme Court justices" is what will make you most happy after the election. Is preserving the right to abortion is what will make you most happy?
Overall, there has to be a gain in happiness somewhere in there.
I don't know what you mean by this.

I'm surprised your wife doesn't allow you to do that at home. :)
Posted by: Janet at September 26, 2008 7:51 PMSo you've got the right wing media talking about your project. But who really ready WorldNetDaily? At a meal for the homeless the other night I spoke to a fellow who didn't vote and who lived destitute one step from the streets. He loves WorldNetDaily, but do you think the Republicans will let him vote? Not given the vote caging going on right now against poor americans. So you've got one supporter that I know of, but you won't let him vote. Wow. Kinda sad. Talk about wolves eating their young.

Janet, I don't think that Obama or McCain will do much of anything for me, and I'm quite cynical about the Federal gov't. I am Pro-Choice, so one thing good about Obama IMO is that he'd be likely to pick Pro-Choicers for the Supreme Court.
.....
"Overall, there has to be a gain in happiness somewhere in there."
I don't know what you mean by this.
That we really don't "choose to be unhappy" - I think that's a contradiction. There can be things like getting blood drawn - not a "happy" thing for me on its own - but the greater desire is to ensure overall health, etc., so despite willingly taking some unhappiness, there's an overall gain IMO.
.....

We do a bit of it - often parodying others who we've seen swear. My wife is 5' 0" and it's pretty hilarious to see her do a truck driver or an old farmer, etc.
