The tree was lost in a late term abortion.
It was just a glob of carbon.

Deeply hurting. Very deep. Maybe too deep. Not only have they lost their identity, they also lost their marbles:

- "this rock has the most incredible life"

I suppose to be at one with the rock, she has to feel what the rock feels and think what the rock thinks.

Wow. They're insane.

And others take them seriously?

It's cultic paganism/barbarianism.

I want to know - did they use a car to get to that place? Then they are killers - the earth destroyed, wrenched up out of place to dig coal and iron ore. How many trees died so they could drive that car or ride that bike? To produce their iPods, to communicate their messages using plastic and metal video cameras, laptops and other devices? They are all wearing machine made clothing.

I'll also bet they eat grain breads, they are so heartless... the plants cut down in the prime of their lives, so they can put sliced and mutilated vegetables on them.... Then dousing them with oils and vinegars from smashed fruits (nutritional seed pods.)

My keyboard is getting soaked with tears...I have to stop.

Can't they even face their own complicity? ;-)

Um, these people need to take their meds......and I say that as a mentally ill person. Medication can help, folks.

On second thought, this might even approach the need for an intervention.

Strange, mixed-up priorities, disturbing, twisted and galling.

Do they just want some attention perhaps? Maybe every one of them was an "only child."

Posted by: Jon at April 22, 2009 12:49 PM

This is the counterfeit religious movement. The tree hugger movement is to increase in drama and showmanship. It is to proclaim they are more righteous and superior than normal people are. That way we can't question their liberal motives and immoral stance on abortion.
I was raised on an oldfashioned organic farm and it was just no big deal. We used manure for fertilizer to save money and it worked. It made for better garden crops. There was no righteousness and moral superiority agenda like the city slickers have in their worship of gaiah.

Um...I'm an only child, and you don't see me outside screaming at the trees. :D

Obama is preaching as we speak at 2:30 eastern on this. "Every american has a role to play" We will all participate.
This translates to central planning, protecting our planet and tyranny. "I hope you are willing to work with me to get there". which is code for work with me or else.
We face 3,000 a year in cost per person. Much of this comes in the form of higher grocery prices because of refrigeration going up with freight prices. He wants to decrease dependence on foreign energy. Yes drill here and drill now.

Deeply disturbing.

Kel,
Please don't scream at the trees. It hurts their feelings. Scream for them. Be one with them. Hug them. :P

It would be fun to be a rock! No, really, this is creepy.

Ya know, I was thinking the same thing when the lady kept screaming, "WE'RE SORRRRRY!!!" I thought, "Man, if I were a tree, I'd be saying, 'Shut up, lady, you're destroying the peacefulness of my forest!'" :D

I have hugged a tree before. I just make sure that before I hug, there are no bugs lurking on it. LOL

Kel,
Maybe we should be Tree Whisperers. Oh, and Huggers of course.

In 80's in Washington State there was a power outage at a chicken hatchery. As a result the fertilized chicken eggs that were in the incubators went with out sufficient heat to ensure that the eggs would hatch.

So the hatchery management did a risk/benefit analysis and determined that if they resumed heating all the eggs it was unlikely that enough eggs would hatch to recoup the energy costs, so they discarded all the eggs.

There was a story in the Seattle Papers accompanied by a photograph of volunteers retreiving the discarded eggs from the dumpster and attempting to determine evidence of life so they could rescue any surviving chicken embryo/fetuses.

If there were survivors I wonder what became of them. Did the rescuers raise them up in the way they should go and release them into the wilds of Washington to become easy prey for predators?

Did they make pets of them?

Did they keep them alive so they could harvest their eggs for food.

What happens to an egg that is not fertized and is not eaten?

At the very least I have to give the rescuers their due and recognize the example they set by their demonstrated comittment to the cause.

We 'prolifers' could all learn something from them.

The 'new agers' and 'mother earthers' grieving for a tree are curious to me. If you don't eat fish, fowl or flesh and you grieve for dead flora and fauna, what can you allow yourself to eat and not feel guilty?

Matt 2:18 A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children; she refused to be comforted, because they were no more. [Jer 31:15.] AMP

At least the trees cut down in their prime, like harvesting a crop when it is ripe, are used to build homes and furniture.

What 'thing' of value can be produced from the remains of fifty million dead babies?

At least the tree was alive

How do you know?

And how is a unborn baby, growing, kicking and sucking his/her thumb not just as alive and a photosynthesizing tree?

Posted by: Jacqueline at April 22, 2009 7:19 PM

ken,

What 'thing' of value can be produced from the remains of fifty million dead babies?

I know this was rhetorical, but the same people who think abortion is sometimes necessary have created a market for parts. Disgusting, but true.

Do not assume anything. Be sure you have the trees fully informed consent before you enter his/her space and actually make physical contact.

A tree hit me once when I was riding my bicycle. Bent my basket, even.

Posted by: Carla at April 23, 2009 3:15 PM

oh you guys are tooo much!!

And Ken has brought up a very serious point which many have just sorta brushed off - tree molestation!

And Carla, the nerve! Bent your basket without even so much as an apology, I'm guessing!

Trees these days have no manners. No wonder they get axed...

He wanted a hug but I said no. Stupid tree.
