  • RH Reality Check has launched a section of their web site entitled "On Common Ground" with posts by various individuals (a couple of whom are pro-life) and various legislative proposals which attempt to find common ground.

At World magazine's blog, Alisha Harris writes, "The problem I see so far is that finding common ground makes it hard to break new ground or move the debate forward. Civility is vital, but it is also pointless if it suffocates an authentic discussion of the deep tensions still there."

CBN's David Brody writes,"One quick note: on a separate part of their site they blast religious right organizations. It really takes away from their credibility when it comes to seeking common ground. It's a confusing message."...

  • According to the BBC, fallopian tubes removed during hysterectomies could be another source for adult stem cells:
The latest work by a Brazilian team from the University of São Paulo suggests fallopian tubes, discarded during the course of hysterectomies or female sterilization operations, can be added to this list.

Once harvested, the scientists were able to multiply and then coax the mesenchymal stem cells to turn into apparently healthy muscle, fat, cartilage and bone cell lines in the lab.

  • While the rest of CA is struggling to stay afloat, the budget of their embryonic stem cell agency is slated to increase by 25%:
The largest component of the budget goes for salaries and benefits, which are projected at $7.4 million for 47 employees. That is $1.9 million more than this year's estimated figure of $5.5 million. Personnel costs next year amount to an average of roughly $150k in salaries and benefits for each CIRM employee.

  • Cytotec appears to be the drug of choice for men all over the world who don't want their wives or girlfriend to have a baby. This time a man in Ghana has been arrested for slipping the drug into his pregnant girlfriend's drink.

    It kills the baby, RJ.

I agree with Ms. Harris. Striving for "common ground" stiffles our freedom of expression, to the detriment of our ability to speak out for the unborn. It is simply a capitulation to the abortion mafia, in which we make all the concessions and they laugh at us.

We have but one voice. Let us use it to give voice to the voiceless unborn, rather than to make friends with those who want to still those voices forever. This war is not between we prolifers and the proaborts, we're just sideline spectators who are watching the slaughter. It is between the proaborts and the babies.

    Wake up, America.

Actually it is an ulcer drug that has the side effect of causing the cervix to open and therefore the baby is lost.

It is commonly used in labor inductions during healthy pregnancies... but this type of use is horrible.

I was curious myself so I googled "Cytotec". I understand that Cytotec should be used under a doctor's supervision, but commonly is bought on the black market, imported from Mexico, and other Latina American countries, sold to women for a small fraction of the normal US price. Most of these women are unaware of its proper use and potentially deadly side effects. It is not meant to be used alone as an abortion drug and the dosage, if not correct, can have no abortifacient effect at all.

Although this article is about three years old, it offers information on the drug and insightful comments as to the ignorance of many of the drugs users . The drug is still manufactured even though newer ulcer drugs are being prescribed ahead of cytotec.
