Carhart plans slumdog abortion mill expansion to Wichita

carhart 7.jpgAccording to the Medical News Today, today:

In the wake of the shooting death of abortion provider George Tiller, physician LeRoy Carhart says he plans to open a facility in KS that will provide abortion services later in pregnancy....

Carhart - who operates an abortion clinic in Bellevue, NE [pictured below]- is one of the 4 physicians who performed abortions at Tiller's Wichita clinic before it closed following his death on May 31....

Carhart said that Wichita would be his "main choice" for a location and that his attorney has spoken with the Tiller family's lawyer. He added that it is too soon to make a formal announcement about the location.

Following Carhart's statements, the antiabortion group Operation Rescue said that it is launching a "Keep It Closed" campaign and will protest at Carhart's clinic in NE from Aug. 28-29....

I'd suggest LeRoy patch up his 1st slumdog abortion mill before expanding. Or perhaps he's going for Mumbai chic.

Comments:

Carhart is horrible, really, he is.

But, just as a note, it's an insult to compare him to poor people, it really is. The impoverished don't deserve to be put in the same boat with that monster. It's unfair to them.

Vannah, I think the point is more that this man is obviously taking advantage of poor women. Who else but a poor person who thought it was her only option would seek MEDICAL CARE in such a place?

"Carhart is horrible, really, he is."

"But, just as a note, it's an insult to compare him to poor people, it really is. The impoverished don't deserve to be put in the same boat with that monster. It's unfair to them."

It is unfair to 'monsters' to include them in the same sentence with Carhart!

Carhart is in a league of his own.

There was a creative and industrious 'dirty old man' who put an ad and/or hung posters up offerring 'free pap smears or gynecological exams. His 'doctors' office was one these little storage place rentals and he examined more than a few willing patients before the police got on to his scam.

There are identifiable reasons why some people are 'poor'. And it does not have much, if anything, to do with their ethinicity or gender or hair color.

If I had been one of this perverts victims I would have been too embarassed to press charges.

If these 'victims' voted at all, most if not all, probably voted for 0'bama and they are still waiting for pbho to make their carpayment.

Just great, another quack pretending to play doctor (if you've seen pictures of his NE clinic you'd know what I mean) and claiming to provide life-saving abortions (although most are elective for socio-economic reasons) just to make big bucks.

Which agency overseas abortion medical facility compliance? Federal? State? Both? Neither? Have they ever visited Carhart's place? From the photo, it looks like a horrible fire and safety hazard.

Do anyone know where I can find this information? It seems quite elusive..... Someone from Planned Parenthood should know.

"Abortion services" - how Orwellian!

Nobody really "regulates" abortion clinics... any attempt at state/federal regulation is shot down as "limiting access" to abortion. (If abortion clinics were well-regulated, we wouldn't see stuff like this http://realchoice.0catch.com/library/history/aahxpt2c.htm happening). The only real regulation comes from the medical licensing boards and only really applies to the doctors. Attempts by local health authorities to enforce any kind of decent sanitation and good medical practices can be successfully challenged in court, unfortunately.

Here's some information from 2003 on Carhart's background: http://realchoice.0catch.com/library/weekly/aa110903a.htm

The fire that occurred fairly recently at Carhart's abortion clinic - looks like a place you'd want to have outpatient surgery, right? http://realchoice.blogspot.com/2009/01/holy-oilpans-batman.html

Oh, but wait... after the fire at his clinic, it gets even better. He begins operating illegally out of the damaged clinic without even having electrical service put in!! http://voiceofthesilenced.blogspot.com/2009/03/carhart-abortion-clinic-ordered-to.html Note the generator.

And some more information re: Carhart:
http://realchoice.0catch.com/library/deaths/bl05cgilbert.htm

(The following link is to documents from a court ruling - they do contain some disturbing graphic descriptions of abortion procedures that were relevant to the court case and these descriptions are direct quotes from the court papers, not added to the article) http://realchoice.0catch.com/library/archives/news/aa070200news1.htm

This from 2000 makes a reference to his involvement in fetal tissue harvesting: http://realchoice.0catch.com/library/weekly/aa032900a.htm
