  • A Seattle man named Daniel Hicks was arrested in CA yesterday. Hicks is accused of killing his girlfriend Jennifer Morgan and their infant daughter Emma. He allegedly wanted his girlfriend to have an abortion and apparently killed his daughter because she wasn't a boy:
  • Through interviews with Morgan's mother, Hicks' brother and half-sister, and one of Morgan's co-workers, detectives learned Hicks had been depressed and suicidal for some time - and his condition worsened when he learned his girlfriend of 9 years was pregnant, charging papers say. He wanted Morgan to have an abortion, claiming she "was just trying to trap him with the pregnancy," the papers say....

According to charging documents, Morgan told her mother Hicks was upset the baby was a girl instead of a boy. He also "became very jealous and suspicious of Jennifer," and questioned if he was the baby's biological father, the papers say.

  • The Catholic News Service is reporting that there isn't any disagreement between the U.S. Catholic Bishops and the Catholic Health Association on health care reform after a New York Times article claiming there were differing opinions:
  • Sister Carol said Times reporter David D. Kirkpatrick based his Dec. 26 story on a Dec. 17 CHA statement which noted that CHA had not reviewed the language of various amendments on the table at the time but was "encouraged by recent deliberations and the outline" Sen. Robert Casey, D-PA, was developing.

At that point, "I felt they were making progress and were getting where we needed to be," she said.

"I understand that it doesn't make a good story to say (CHA and the USCCB) are working together," Sister Carol added. "But it would have been an honest story."

  • A man in Dubai has been sentenced to only 6 months in jail after forcing his wife to take Cytotec pills to induce an abortion:
  • The woman also told the prosecution that her husband became angry when she told him about her pregnancy in April 2008. Instead of congratulating her he said he did not want the baby.

When the woman insisted on keeping the baby, her husband pleasantly coaxed her to accompany him to his father's farm in Haat. Once there, he asked her to stop eating and forced her to take the drugs.

She tried to escape from the farm, but finally she surrendered to his wish for the fear that he might beat her up severely or kill her which he threatened to do. The woman told prosecution that the foetus was aborted immediately after taking the pills.

  • A MN woman has been charged with three counts of criminal vehicular homicide after she allegedly drove drunk, went the wrong way on a street and crashed into another car, killing an unborn child and critically injuring two other passengers.

  • Comments:

Too little too late from USCCB and CHA regarding what will become coerced abortion with the increasingly socialized medicine.

Thanks for covering the debacle of these two organizations which have been trying to pass control of health care to the pro-killing government for a long time.

The chronicles, from refugee patients and health care providers, of the breakdown of health care under government control, has fallen on deaf ears in CHA and USCCB, which have been seeking short term advantage in the mirage of increased access under government funding.

WOMEN'S CHOICE...all these stories of men forcing their choice on women. But where are the feminists? I guess they are only outraged when the woman chooses death for her child and the man wants life. THEN they step in and tell the man its not his right to have a say. Their allegiance lies with abortion not with women. Its not about women at all is it? Its about abortion. period.

Has anyone checked out this website for a memorial for the unborn? I know there is already a memorial for the unborn in an old abortion clinic, I think in Chattanooga. But this is an online memorial. I put four names on there for three of my friends who collectively lost four babies. Abigail, Antonio, Leona and Cameron...names my friends liked. I could have put even more as I have even more friends who carry a dead baby in their heart. It makes my heart heavy to think of it. I see how deeply my friends hurt. I see their bitterness, their anger and rage and sometimes I see raw anguish. Sometimes I see their tears and hear their wailing. Sometimes they try to stuff it away with a plastic smile.

This package, this pretty package of abortion must be cast away once and for all. It solves NOTHING. Its time to offer real solutions to women. Its time to TRULY be pro-woman!!!!

It never ceases to amaze me - or should I say 'repulse' when the House is called to order with an impassioned plea to God to continue His blessings on our nation.

With approx 21 million + more people (added) on this 'insurance', not health reform bill, what the people are getting is 'Medicaid on steroids'. Not decent health care -

After studying hundreds of articles, in the most obscure of places etc - the horrific thing here is/ of course abortions will continue unabated.

What MOST don't realize (not on any main line news) is that a GREAT part of this health bill has already (hidden) been PASSED in the hurried (jobs) STIMULUS BILL!!

Why is this important? Because what we're getting (my observations) is the GREAT DIE-OFF. Palin despite her bluntness, isn't far off with 'Death Panels' - already voted on in 'Stimulus Bill'/ in the form of unelected Advisory Board (different names to this group) who will DECIDE who gets what or rather what they are not eligible for determined by a formula.

Since this information, involves EVERY person, and goes far outside the abortion part - I can tell you, that approx 85% of what the media is reporting (talking heads - politicians) is mere sound bytes - scripted 'talking points'.

This is what you NEED to know which you will NEVER hear on TV:

Amen to that, Sydney M. and Angel.

Did anyone else notice that in the first story, the man was upset because his "girlfriend of 9 years" all of a sudden was trying to "trap him with a baby"? Really? Sounds to me like he was perfectly content to be with her for 9 years and get his little "side benefits" until all of a sudden a natural consequence of that behavior finally happened. Oops, guess she was trying to "trap" him! Time to pull out the old "well, I don't think (the baby) is mine!" accusation. He's been wetting his willy for 9 years and all of a sudden it's impossible that he *might* father a child once in all that time? He thinks he can have sex with a woman for 9 years and there is no chance during that amount of time that she might get pregnant? Duh! A simple DNA test would have cleared the paternity question up quickly. As a matter of fact, they sell paternity test kits in some drugstores now and they're really not all that expensive. And he held it against his daughter that she was not born a boy? Gee, that's nice. She decided to be conceived just to spite him, and decided to be a girl just to add insult to injury, didn't she? What audacity!

This guy is such a colossal jerk.
