What in hay-ell are the Girl Scouts thinking? I got my Silver Award, Gold Award, and have a lifetime membership. I think once I get this paper done I'm going to send them a few choice words...

I'm tempted to return the GS cookies I bought....
Boy Barnard Nathanson got old! It made me sad to see. I guess he would be up in years. I'm glad he repented and has been a champion speaking out in defense of life.
I saw him as this old man sitting there and just had a thought about euthanasia and how soon it will be an all out war on the elderly too...just watch. All those pro-aborts that brought about legalized abortion will be crushed by their own machine. They dehumanized others in order to kill them and now they will be dehumanized in their old age. It makes me so sad.
As to the baby girls...I read that article before. It makes my heart break. Lord, please give me a daughter. I would love her and cherish her and protect her at all costs.

Posted by: Pamela at March 16, 2010 11:17 PMDoes it count if non-Catholics who don't trust organized religion but still believe in God (in other words, me) fast and pray, too?
Wow, Dr. Nathanson did get old. I remember meeting him about twenty years ago and recalling him as an active vibrant man. I wish him the best in his golden years.

Of course! This goes for non-Catholic Christians as well.
Posted by: Bobby BambinoSydney, I'll pray for you to have that girl! I'll tell you what. I just loooooooooove my girls! I was a little shocked when I heard that with sex selection abortion, most folks want boys! Are they nuts?? Kidding. Boys are awesome too, it's just that little girls are so much fun! The dresses, the head wear, bows, cute little shoes, and they are so full of sugar and love!! Nope. I'd never ever trade my gals!
Posted by: heather at March 17, 2010 1:59 PMMy dear daughter is one of those fortunate ones
who was not aborted in China but was left to be found and brought to an orphanage. I pray for her birth mother every night and thank God she gave our daughter the gift of life. We cannot imagine our lives without her.
WHOA, crazy coincidence that the article about gendercide comes out-I just wrote an article for the pro-life organization I intern for concerning just that. I actually cite another article in the Economist concerning the same thing. Seems like that topic is a hot one this week!
Posted by: Stephanie at March 17, 2010 11:31 PMTheresa...what a beautiful story! God is good to spare your daughter's life and keep her safe until she came to be in your family. That just made me tear up and smile at the same time :-)
