  • Americans United for Life has drafted "model legislation that states can use to opt-out of having health insurance plans that offer abortion coverage as part of their mandated state health insurance exchanges...."

  • Catholic Vote Action reports President Obama used 20 pens to sign the health care bill into law, the last of which will be given to Sister Carol Keehan, president and CEO of the Catholic Health Association, who pushed for the bill to be passed with or without abortion funding restrictions. Is that souvenir pen worth the unborn lives that will be lost?

  • Bryan Kemper gives readers some information about the first ever March for Life Europe.

  • Albert Mohler reports on the disturbing trend toward "genderblind" college campus housing. Co-ed dorms weren't enough... now we have co-ed halls and even co-ed rooms. Surely this trend could mean a big boost for the contraception and abortion industries.

    Jill, your wording seems to suggest that the slaughtered babies are not going to heaven. Might there be a better term than "souls...lost"? How about unborn lives that will be lost?

    A little honesty please..... This free Viagara is not a " part of the healthcare law". It was part of an amendment voted down by the Senate. The sole purpose of this and other GOP amendments is to obstruct the bill's passage. It's meaningless. Do they really think anyone falls for these stunts..... Well looks like some of you do.

    Indeed. Very good points.

    Furthermore, many states discovered this Viagra for sex offenders loophole five years ago. This is old news and it is up to individual states to close this disturbing loophole.

    Actually, the Bush administration closed the loophole as soon as the story broke in March 2005. This is a non-issue.

    It will be interesting to see how the healthcare situation shakes out.

    Personally, I don't know if it will be better or worse for me now - the complexities of such legislation, etc.
