Dispute over ownership of "Rock for Life" brand

Some inside baseball...

First came this statement from American Life League on May 21:

The following statement was issued today by Judie Brown, president of ALL:

rock for life all.gif

"American Life League has temporarily suspended the operations of our Rock For Life project. This is being done to allow us the flexibility to structure the organization in a manner that best fits the needs of the pro-life youth movement in the coming decades....

"As we go through our restructuring efforts, RFL chapters across the country will be served by ALL's associate program. RFL merchandise will continue to be available at our online store and by calling our resource department (866-LET-LIVE).

"ALL remains dedicated to serving the pro-life educational needs of the youth of this nation. We are grateful to all those fine individuals who have staffed and supported our RFL project in the past and expect to be able to issue further announcements on our plans for RFL later this year."

Then came this statement this afternoon via Facebook, meaning the following fellows are controlling that aspect aspect of RFL, at least for now (and according to the new website also controlling Twitter, YouTube, MySpace, and podcasts)...

Media Contact: Erik Whittington / 540-840-9764 Business Contact: Jeff White / 909-744-4479

Los Angeles, CA. "We are excited about this next phase in our ministry," said Erik Whittington, executive director of Rock For Life. "There have been many changes throughout the years with RFL but one thing stays constant - We will fight for the human rights of preborn individuals through music, education and action. Our work will not, and has not ever been suspended. We have many things planned and look forward to announcing them throughout the summer."

RFL and American Life League separated ways on Thursday, May 20th, 2010, ending an 11-1/2 year relationship that has seen the pro-life youth movement grow tremendously during that time. "We are thankful for the support American Life League has shown us throughout the years," said Whittington. "We wish them and all their staff the best as they work to defeat the culture of death in our country."

RFL began as a one-time concert event in the Fall of 1993 in Southern CA to raise funds for a pregnancy help center and raise awareness regarding the travesty of abortion. This event, hosted by Bryan Kemper - the Founder of RFL and the current President of Stand True Ministries - ended up being a huge success. This event, under the guidance of Jeff White, led to the official launch of RFL as a legal entity. Following the success of the first concert, including a story on MTV and a baby saved, RFL launched several more concerts and joined the Lollapalooza tour through out the summer of 1994.

In January of 1995 Erik Whittington joined forces with Bryan Kemper at the March for Life in Washington, DC. Erik had been doing pro-life booths at concerts in Portland, OR, while Bryan was starting RFL in Southern CA; realizing that their work was so similar they decided to combine their life-saving efforts.

"I too am excited about this new phase of ministry for RFL," said Bryan Kemper. "Music is a powerful tool that RFL has used successfully to raise awareness, raise funds and save babies from abortion. I am looking forward to a renewed friendship and partnership between RRL and STM."

To celebrate this exciting change, RFL will be hosting a concert during the Survivors Pro-Life Boot Camp June 28th in Los Angeles, CA. Stay tuned at TheRockForLife.com as this exciting news is developing quickly.

So the good news is Rock for Life, Stand True Ministries, and The Survivors have mended any broken fences, while the bad news is the RFL team and ALL have obviously parted company and are currently at odds over who owns the brand.

We pray that this ends amicably. The pro-life movement doesn't need another waste of money and energy over turf, such as we have seen with the struggle over the Operation Rescue brand.

RFL has been pretty quiet for a while. I'm excited and hopeful that we'll see a new spark in RFL!!
And you're right, we don't need squabbling. We need unity and peace. We all have our place in the pro life community.

Erik, Jeff and I are excited about continuing the work of Rock for Life under vision that God gave me when I founded the organization in 1993. Erik and I were able to come together back then and launch one of the most successful youth pro-life organizations ever.

God used us back then and He will use this re-uniting to sky rocket the youth pro-life movement as we conquer child killing in America and around the world.

As we said in the beginning of Rock for Life:

You will not silence our message
You will not mock our God
You will stop killing our generation!

We meant it then, and we are more determined now.

I remember back in the early 1990s when Bryan told my husband and me about his idea for Rock for Life (to combat MTV's Rock for Choice). It was brilliant. In fact, my brother-in-law's band, Christafari, played at the first RFL concert in Aliso Viejo in 1994. We were all so excited with ALL picked up RFL in 1998, and we are thrilled to see it now coming back to where it all started, Southern California. Welcome back to your roots, Rock for Life!

Posted by: Elisa Mohr at May 25, 2010 6:43 PM

"Rock for Life".
It's not "Rock for Profit", it's not "Rock for Territory", it's not "Rock for Glory, Credit, or Bragging Rights".
When Bryan started the organization so many years ago, his vision wasn't "We'll do some things and make a bunch of all-important money".
It was "we'll do important things, thankless things, things that nobody else is willing to do, and hope that in some way we'll be able to pay the rent so we can keep doing those things".
I'll be very disappointed if this becomes a fight over who gets "the brand".
We are all on the same side, fighting the same foe.
If at some point our troops begin to battle each other, it will mean that we've lost.

Keep rocking, RFL.
Keep doing those, difficult, thankless, ever-important things.
Because that's what it's all about.
I am confident that Bryan and Erik will seek God's wisdom to direct their course.

I am really excited to see what God will do with Bryan and Erik joining forces to spread the message of life and the light of Christ's love throughout this nation and throughout the world. A solid, unified force against the culture of death is needed now more than ever; this is great news!!

Posted by: Kathryne C at May 25, 2010 7:14 PM

Rock for Life has had a solid running DESPITE the money problems (not paying for inventory/vendors) and scandals that ALL continues to get itself in to such as IRS audits and disputes with major donors over what it does with the donations (buying condos, cruises, Judie Brown's $700,000 payday etc).

Certainly the benefits of having a few guys and gals in the world spreading hope and pro-life message to today's youth isn't worth ALL's DONOR'S money in legal bills to take it away from the world is it? Then again, RFL's gear is the only cool thing ALL had in recent years, so taking it away from the catalog of otherwise useless junk may be the kiss of death for its merchandise endeavors.

I hope the podcasts continue with Erik and the bands- they were great!

Posted by: The Dude at May 25, 2010 8:04 PM

Rock4Life is much better off in the hands of young people who love life and babies than some greedy old lady that want to take ppl's money and keep it for herselve.

Posted by: avid4life at May 25, 2010 8:18 PM

ALL hasent done anything for the prolife issue but pass out signs at someone else's march every year to advertise itself. My grandmother gives to them every month so they send her a stupid magazine instead of useing the money to save babies. What a waste! I will use my time and money to help people and maybe go to a Christian concert and take other kids to teach them about prolife but I wont give to ALL when I'm older. I will give to Erik and Bryan when I can though cause their really doing something but just talk talk talk!

Posted by: ALLSUX at May 25, 2010 8:30 PM

I like American Life League's magazine. My mother has used the articles on stem cell research to spread the pro-life message to her patient who is wheelchair bound, paralyzed from the neck down after a terrible car wreck. This patient of my mothers was really for embryonic stem cell research and blamed us pro-lifers for being in a wheel chair but my mom educated herself to talk of the dangers of ESC research such as teratomas.

That magazine is a great teaching tool. Don't underestimate its impact.

My husband was a production manager for a club. He also is on tour right now doing sound for a band. There are a lot of pro-life bands out there and more and more musicians are waking up to this issue.

Posted by: Sydney M. at May 25, 2010 9:41 PM

Unless you have proof, do not make any accusations against Judie Brown. She's NOT a "greedy old lady" and saying she purchased a 700K condo with donation $ is NONSENSE. In fact, making these claims without legitimate proof makes one guilty of LIBEL!

I hope Rock for Life group members and American Life League can come to an understanding as well.

Posted by: LizFromNebraska at May 25, 2010 9:43 PM

this is really exciting. Erik and Bryan, we are behind you guys and praying for you!

Posted by: emma williams at May 25, 2010 9:50 PM

I agree calling Judie Brown "a greedy old lady" is over the top!!
And I am sure she will be proven a magnanimous lady when she doesn't pick a fight with the founders of Rock for Life. We are at a turning point in the history of our nation and as pro-lifers we need to stiffen up and row as hard as we can in unison. I am sure the young zealous pro-lifers are loyal to Brian and Erik and the older donors are loyal to Judie Brown. We don't need a young vs old fight or Catholic vs Protestant fight. And for all of you bad mouthing ALL you will feel foolish when ALL recognizes Rock for Life as the property of its founders

Posted by: Alex at May 25, 2010 9:57 PM

I am a younger than "old and retired" donor to American Life League, who by the way, sponsors the two yearly t-shirt events: Pro Life T-Shirt day AND Pro Life Memorial Day (in October at the start of the Supreme court session). I also purchased prayer cards for the conversion of president obama to pro life from pro abortion (I think most pro lifers can agree we'd like to see a profound change in him) that were made by ALL. You don't have to be OLD to donate to American Life League. I get their weekly S.T.O.P.P email newsletter, too.

I also would support Rock for Life if they had a local event.

Posted by: LizFromNebraska at May 25, 2010 10:06 PM

What is the point of posting an article that encourages pro-life divisiveness? Jill, you have written so much about how the pro-life community needs to unite, etc etc. There is a difference between a blog post noting the move and a blog post attacking both sides. Also, where are the moderators? Why are people allowed to make accusations without proof? Was there any attempt to contact ALL for comment? Perhaps they have something to say without slinging mud.

Posted by: California at May 25, 2010 10:09 PM

I wish someone somewhere would break the story on ALL's management of donations income wide open. Anyone can go to GuideStar and see what kinds of salaries their top-earning employees receive.

Sure, they have the magazine -- but do you know who prints the magazine and all of their fundraising material? A printing company *owned* by the husband of ALL's president -- a for-profit industry. This isn't libel or gossip -- this is publicly available information -- check their 990s. It is a document every donor to the organization ought to view.

Maybe if the benevolent Judie Brown wouldn't burn every bridge she was ever carried across in the name of God and goodness, she wouldn't ignite such flames again and again for 30 years+. Where there's smoke there's fire. Follow the money. And their magazine Is an antiquated money pit! We live in the digital word now. Good to see so many lawyers are online here. Maybe you can help RFL instead of attacking kids with an opinion.

Posted by: Dana at May 25, 2010 11:20 PM

Jill, if you are crying for Unity - realize you are the making the drama with this blog. As a ex-Rock for Life staffer I don't see anything helping this issue. Though, many of these comments are asking the right questions.

You are the one breaking this story, and making the opposing war.

Posted by: Jeff McLain at May 25, 2010 11:21 PM

I am behind Erik and Bryan 100%. They have done amazing things for the pro-life movement and I know they will continue to do so.

Posted by: Christine at May 25, 2010 11:24 PM

Just curious Jeff, how did you come to not work at ALL anymore? Was your family taken care of in a most Christian manner or sent out in the cold like multiple-dozens of employees in the past decade?

Wikipedia seems to hold a lot of undisputed items on it about Judie brown's fleecing of donor money by the way. And I looked up the tax forms and 990's. Disingenuous use of cash... Buying land all over the place! Good thing for babies I suppose if they're all given condos.

Posted by: Curious at May 25, 2010 11:29 PM

Don't get me wrong, a lot of bad happens in all Non-Profits and I believe ALL did a lot of wrong, the fruit of the tree shares that.

However, no one else is making a fight or drama out of this. Erik, White and Kemper are the founders of Rock for Life and are just carrying on what they started - for the babies. American Life League seems to be wanting to keep their successful project in house. Rock for Life started way before American Life League and I believe it will continue way after.

I am only saying, no one is talking fight till Jill's blog, then she tried to turn it on RFL it seems in this blog. The only current drama and public fight is the one on this blog.

I was left in the cold without any pay or severance, I was the Tour Manager for Rock for Life - we were let go because we wanted Rock for Life to remain Ecumenical and not promote a purely Catholic project, because I am non-catholic. I was left on the street in a bad economy still trying to gather ground.

The best Unity is when people realize, third parties should subscribe to the fact - if you have nothing to say, don't say it.

Posted by: Jeff McLain at May 25, 2010 11:33 PM

Jeff- do like they tell all Catholic children? Be quiet and don't tell anybody when someone you trust betrays you. Never fight back and always turn the other cheek when attacked? Sounds like some hypocritical diocese teaching rubbed off on you. YOU WILL NOT SILENCE MY MESSAGE (ALL) YOU WILL NOT MOCK MY GOD (ALL)

Posted by: A priest at May 25, 2010 11:51 PM

I don't think you are listening at all to what I am saying. First off, no diocese rubbed off on me...I am not a Catholic by any means.

I am saying, let the situation be dealt with between the parties.

Jill's blog is only stirring the pot. The stuff that needs to gone done is in motion, the parties are doing what they each feel are right - I believe Truth and Rock for Life will pull through.

However, as a Christian - pointing people to Christ is my sole meaning. I see Jill pointing to a situation and inviting drama to take place, as many of these comments show.

Posted by: Jeff McLain at May 25, 2010 11:54 PM

Madeline, If what you're saying is right isn't it illegal for a charity to use non-profit income money in a for-profit company that it owns (in)directly?

Posted by: Curious at May 26, 2010 12:02 AM

Considering the circumstances behind Bryan "leaving" RFL and how ALL spun it, I'm not surprised that this has happened and I SO GLAD that RFL has escaped ALL and can do effective work again!!! This is great news!!

Posted by: Just little ol' me at May 26, 2010 12:06 AM

ALL has never been relevant in the pro-life cause. They just blow their own horn and ride everyone else's coat tails for media attention. In lots of ways worse than Randal Terry because they pretend to be honest about their schemes. He just goes over the top for TV time. The difference is that he GETS IT.

ALL is irrelevant and always has been. Jeff you sound like a nice enough guy and certainly seem like you have a good heart to not harbor ill will towards those who spit on you.

Move on to a real job now. They did you a favor. Sounds like Rome is burning to the ground over there. If the fires of Hell don't catch up with them, the IRS will.

Posted by: Lil' Heartbeat at May 26, 2010 2:24 AM

Looks like there's some real truth to that "libel" label after all. Facts are a bitch sometimes.

Maybe Lila Rose will make an under cover video of this operation? This money could have been used for legitimate pro-life work!

Posted by: WOAH at May 26, 2010 2:32 AM

Jeff, ALL posted a public statement on May 21 and RFL posted a public statement on May 25. I thought they were newsworthy, particularly when read back-to-back, and reposted them. I don't know how to respond to accusations of stirring up trouble by posting public statements. I'm really sorry about your job situation, btw.

I sometimes have to sometimes remind people that this is a NEWS and commentary blog. I don't word vomit everything I learn about the pro-life community, but I don't cover up either. I make judgment calls on what to spotlight and what to let go, and I try to be fair and objective about these decisions. This sometimes gets hard because I know many of the players.

California, yes, I contacted Judie. She had no more to say than the statement ALL released.

Attacking ALL's work, such as its magazine, is below the belt. (In the interest of full disclosure and perhaps a lol, I was on the cover several months back... :)

Attacking Judie's age is also below the belt. Age is meaningless. At age 74 Henry Flagler BEGAN building a railroad to Key West.

Judie, Katie, Johanna, Marie, and Michael have all been very kind to me, even if we haven't always seen eye to eye. I'm a cosponsor of ALL's The Pill Kills Day, which I really appreciate. ALL sponsors the annual pro-life blog awards, which I think is quite encouraging.

Speaking of, ALL asked me to emcee that event this January, and I had to give awards to one or two people who have slammed me quite hard on their blogs. So what? I appreciate them anyway, even if we disagree on some things. People need to grow up and get over themselves.

I'm also friends with Erik and good friends with Bryan, who I love to pieces. I love his energy and his passion.

The real enemy is evil, evil, evil, is constantly lurking and never sleeps. I was just lying in bed thinking about emails I've gotten from Ghana and Kenya begging for help because the Obama regime is out to abortize their countries. Sometimes the fight is almost overwhelming.

All of this is not to say I don't have an opinion on this entire matter, because I do if the situation is as I understand it. I hope all ends well so I don't have to express it.

I'm rambling, I think. Off to write a post.

Posted by: Tony inOhio at May 26, 2010 7:54 AM

I'm not informed enough about this whole situation to comment on it, but...

"Jeff- do like they tell all Catholic children? Be quiet and don't tell anybody when someone you trust betrays you. Never fight back and always turn the other cheek when attacked?"

What? I went to Catholic school for thirteen years, most of my cousins went to Catholic school for at least some period of time, and none of us were ever told this.

Posted by: Jill Stanek Author Profile Page at May 26, 2010 9:49 AM

I received an email from ALL and then saw the post on Facebook from the "New" Rock for Life website. I posted a quote from the email in order to gain some clarity. Instead they deleted my post and gave me no explanation.
I've received the same response from Rock for Life in the past when I had questions concerning their integrity.
If ALL owns the brand "Rock for Life" and these unemployed people do not, they are breaking the law.

Posted by: Chingy at May 26, 2010 9:51 AM

Curious - I imagine it's not illegal, since the 990s plainly report the connection between the two. It's just -- um, interesting. But to me, what has been most egregious in their history isn't just the "interesting" method in which the cash flows and the lofty salaries.

What is most troublesome about the organization is the way so very many of the employees have been "laid off" without warning, and without seemingly sufficient reason (they cite financial reasons in years the organization brings in 6 million plus dollars). And, in some cases, we're talking people with large families who depend on the income.

I would take this situation with RFL as a clear warning never to bring a fledgling pro-life group under their wing, as a difference in visions has more than once led to the dismissal of the employee who brought the group to them, only to have ALL attempt to retain rights to the group name, function, etc.

Posted by: Madeleine Zanfield at May 26, 2010 10:29 AM

To all of you who have shown your support for the work Erik and I have done and will do with Rock for Life we thank you.

For all of those who have taken this opportunity to just bash ALL, that is not what we are doing or want.

As we said in the press release: "We are thankful for the support American Life League has shown us throughout the years," said Whittington. "We wish them and all their staff the best as they work to defeat the culture of death in our country."

We simply want to continue to save babies, glorify God and build the youth pro-life movement.

I started Rock for Life in 1993 with a vision of seeing hundreds of thousands of young people taking a stand and bringing an end to child killing. When Erik and I joined forces in January of 1995 we took our similar visions to the next level and have seen thousands of babies saved and hearts changed.

Now that we will be working together again we know that this vision will continue to grow. I am still full time with Stand True and by working together with Erik and Rock for Life and Jeff White and Survivors we know this unified youth effort will see amazing things.

Please do not take this opportunity to call people names or bash people. Just pray for all of us in our work and pray for us to be successful in ending the abortion holocaust.

For Christ I stand,
Bryan Kemper

Posted by: Bryan Kemper at May 26, 2010 10:31 AM

I agree that any comments should be made in good taste. I often find that Pro-Lifers think they can say or do whatever they like. However for people who have purchased RFL t-shirts and have facilitated RFL chapters, like myself, should have a place where they can hear the FULL story and voice any opinions; People have found that hear.
I do find it interesting that there's this sense of entitlement to the Rock for Life and it's future. If Richard and Maurice McDonald came back to life they wouldn't be running any restaurants. I finding it very discouraging that people who are full-time activists for the pro-life cause seem to only offer their services exclusively under the RFL name an not that of the unborn. Why is the brand needed at all? I would wonder if they would still have the same unapologetic conviction and drive for defending life if the Rock for Life name was completely dissolved. That to me would be a more genuine sign of Gods work.

Posted by: Chingy at May 26, 2010 10:58 AM

Ha! Delete one of those please.

Posted by: Chingy at May 26, 2010 11:01 AM

Thank you Bryan Kemper for your comment. That was essential.

Jill, I welcome your response and think it was thought out. I am just concerned that sometimes journalism and being a follower of Jesus can clash, and it might be a hard choice at times.

For me - personally, if I saw 2 opposing Press Releases, I don't think I would have posted them together because and talked about their conflict (especially if no one else is) because it just causes what we see above...strawmen attacks.

I have been part of working and volunteering for Erik and Bryan a lot in the past and wish the Rock for Life project a good future, I was with Erik last night when this blog went live.

I hope people see posts like this is a time to pray, not attack or question what is going on. The time for them to come will come, there have been many rabbit trails through these comments....

The most important thing in life is to Love God and Love your Neighbor as yourself. The whole Bible is hung on these commandments.

Too often we substitute the later commandment for "righteous anger" when we deal with people we oppose or even those who have abortions or are pro-choice. Though, abortion is a ultimate evil and we need to speak life into our culture of death and save those lives...first we must love God, love our neighbor, lift Jesus up and then we will see a more unified movement.

We ARE in a crucial point in our nation for many reasons, including the abortion vs. pro life fight. I myself have supported Rock For Life and held concerts in my community supporting the right to life and the Rock For Life organization. I believe that now more than ever is the time to set our differences of opinions of Judy and Bryan and the Rock For Life/ALL issues aside, and come to terms with the facts that we are all fighting for the same cause. To see that children who have not yet been given a voice receive love, support, and rights from those who want to see that they live a full and successful life.
The bible says in John 10:10 that the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy... and what better way for the fight of Pro Life to be killed and marred than for two incredible orgs. such as these to be put in a place in which the public would start to second guess either side.

I pray with my whole heart, that God's incredible provision will be before both groups and that we can come to a place of peace with this unfortunate squabble so that the fight may continue not against each other, but for each other in the FIGHT FOR LIFE!

Posted by: Bren Murphy at May 26, 2010 2:39 PM

RE: Magazine -- perhaps that has changed, Robin. But their most recently available 990s (2008) show that more than 1.3 million dollars of business was transacted b/w ALL and AKA Printing (Paul Brown's business)in the form of development mailings and other materials. Paul Brown also owns the ALL building and ALL pays rent to ... Paul Brown. It's all very... interesting. And the way they have treated employees hasn't been very, uh...pro-life.

As a donor to pro-life causes, I would still be very wary of donating to ALL. There are so many better and more worthy grassroots orgs I can think of -- at least a dozen off the top of my head.

Instead, take this as a challenge and forge through it. I love ALL and RFL. Resist the temptation to bicker. Just pray hard. Jesus said, " I make all things new" Let's put this situation in His hands and move on.

American Life League took a chance on us (RFL) in 1998, helping us to grow and to do all the crazy pro-life things we have done over the years (summer festival tours, CD compilations, funding speaking engagements, tours with bands, pro-life memorial day, pro-life tshirt day / week, training and activism weekends, etc., etc.). I look back at the last 11+ years with ALL and think, WOW what an amazing time!

Let's refrain from name calling or dirt digging. There are some amazing individuals who are at ALL and ALL as a whole does some amazing work. We are all fighting for the same cause and I am most confident that we will work this out sooner than later.

I dont advocate name calling or stoking fires of disagreement, but if something is true, it will withstand scrutiny...and the TRUTH will set us free.

This discussion is important because the money people have to donate to prolife causes is limited, so we need to be informed of where our donated $ will have the most impact...and really effective ministries could fail just for lack of funds, so this discussion is imperative. My interactions with ALL have lead me to believe that it is not the best place for any money I choose to donate to prolife causes.

Im a convert to Catholicism and passionately prolife and Im also a nurse and the things that ALLs magazine has said about Health Care workers are uninformed, misguiding and flat out wrong. Does ALL think that God is so stupid that He couldn't / wouldn't lead decent Christian people to become Doctors and Nurses? I actually keep old copies of the ALL magazine to show people when this topic comes up.

In charity, I choose to believe that Mrs Brown began her apostolate with the best intentions. I dont know where she lost her way, but my kids know the drill...when I open my mail that regularly includes solicitations from ALL telling me to send them money, I rant about how they come up with endless reasons why I should send money (including a local snow storm ?!? "send us $250!") yet their mailings never say what they will DO. DO as in actual action. Read her words for yourself...she advocates actions but what does she actually DO? One mailing just follows the next and the next send money send money send money

Just as I am constantly telling my 5 small children..."don't point fingers or place blame, make sure that YOU are walking in truth and blameless before God." We will all stand before God on judgement day...even for our thoughts. Erik, Brian & Jeff as well as the Browns were created for such a time as this. Gods truth and light will prevail. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places." Eph. 6:12 NKJV
The enemy knows that his time is coming to an end and he's doing all he can to stir up strife among believers. Come on people lets put on our armors daily. God is our provider. He gives and He takes away!

American Life League's magazine printed a story about Small Victories and Angela Michael last November that was pure garbage and propaganda.

That was when I knew they had no idea and were probably guilty of the same things Small Victories was accused of.

Here's the deal. Roughly 3300 innocent human beings died today before they ever drew a breath. In the time it took for this blog to be published and the comments that followed to post and ensuing arguments to develop, digress, fall apart and peace to be made...or not...THREE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED pre-born human beings lost their lives.
The American Life Lobby/League/ALL, whatever it goes by now, has the financial capability to hog-tie and slaughter Rock For Life simply by taking them to court. Judie Brown doesn't even have to win. In the same way that the Cult Awareness Network was bankrupted by the church of Scientology who then BOUGHT their assets from the bankruptcy court and BECAME the Cult Awareness Network, ALL could do the same thing and crush Rock for Life.
I don't see that happening though. I don't see that happening because while people argued over this ludicrous foolishness of Judie Brown's, 3300 innocent babies died. She put young people with families out on the street with no notice, no severance pay because they couldn't go against their own deep faith in Jesus. That pisses me off and let me return to the deadly fact that on the day they lost their jobs, 3300 innocents human beings lost their lives.
How much Brown family money or American Life Lobby money or AKA Printing Inc. money can bring them back?
The stone's been rolled away and the sleeping giant is slowly awakening from a long slumber.
It doesn't take deep pockets to stand against abortion in positive, life saving, woman nurturing ways. It takes war on the floor, dedication, perseverance and willingness to get dirty in the trenches...real dirty. Those are traits Bryan, Jeff, Erik and others I've known and/or worked with in Rock for Life & Stand True Ministries are RICH IN!

Well, this is all really interestingly rediculous! Having a Post to dispute facts, to call names, and to point fingers is well...un -christ like really. Not to say Im not to blame in these areas but like the last person was saying 3300 lives were lost while we all wasted time and energy bashing and revealing facts! "For the Love of money is the root of all evil" I havnt checked out all the websites or "990s"...I simply dont care, Lets hope all that nonsense isnt true, because one thing I have learned is that if you mistreat God's children, and also misuse GOD'S MONEY (which btw...HE provided thru donations) your in a heap of trouble! I really feel like it is like slapping God across the face, or even spitting in Christs' when people do so. For those of you who have researched facts and found disgust within the spending of donated funds.....simply stop donating. Pray and seek Gods face as to where His finances that He has provided you with can really make a difference to further His kingdom and strengthen the armed battle we have chosen when it comes to slaughtering of Gods kids. Abortion pisses me off, just like the wasted time shown here in these Posts. (Yes, i know, im posting myself). Like my wife posted, God gives and Takes away! I was working for a wolf in sheeps clothing for 2+ years, and became unemmployed in early February of this year. I had ONE income, we have 5 amazing children that God has lent us, and HE is still continuously providing! As will HE those who have been dropped, laid-off, fired, and stolen from by ALL or anyplace else. To ALL: be very wise about your steps, about who it is that your trying to represent. To RFL: continue to share Gods love and His promises to all who seek Him, DONT MAKE ANY MOVE without consulting the Almighty first, He is in control of everything, keep your integrity, your honesty, and your true ambition for the mission my friends! Change your name if need be! You all represent CHRIST not RFL...its only a name, just as CHRIST is THE name. You know how annoying it is to watch a great film, and then the sequal comes out with only one or two of the original cast members? Its extremely annoying, irritating and even makes you want to miss the trilogy. EVERYONE will always know who the founders, co-founders, leaders, and hard workers were, are, and forever will be of Rock For Life. Gods word says not to defend yourself when it comes to Truth so keep on keepin' on man! Do whats right, refocus, work harder, PRAY, and like my wife said...be blameless before God. Besides, your not the one being audited. I dont know the details behind taking you to court, im assuming it is to take control and ownership of RFL.......Gods word says that if someone steals from you, simply let them have it, they may need it more than you do. Apparantly RFL's T-shirts etc....bring in alot more funds than the lack of imagination ALL comes up with to generate revenue. If this is the case, allow them to take, mis use it, then take it up with God at a later date! God sees all! We will be more than happy to use our creative minds and artistic skill to help lift you guys up in Jesus name! Jesus Shakes what many say cant be Shaken!
