From a May 7 press release:
Randall Terry, Founder of Insurrecta Nex and OverturnRoe.com, is launching a five day per week half-hour television show, originating from Washington DC called "Randall Terry: The Voice of Resistance." The show premieres on Monday, May 10....
"The show will be a combination of news, comedy, songs, skits, and of course... leadership training for culture warriors. Think of a hybrid of Stephen Colbert, Rush, and John the Baptist. And of course, we will torment our adversaries, just because we can." - Randall Terry...
At this point the show looks to be airing on 2 channels - WQXT in St. Augustine, FL, and WCKV in Clarksville, TN, although it will also run online.
So I watched the "teaser and comedy clips," presumably Randall's best stuff, and all I can compare them to are the homemade improv videos my friends and I made 25 years ago that were really funny to us (wish I could find them), but anyone else watching them would say we were weird. Also disconcerting is that Randall is trying to branch out from his known pro-life brand. Randall can indeed play keyboard and carry a tune, though, even if his words get in the way....
Good luck on your latest venture, Randall. Your energy is indeed boundless.
That picture should show him in a mental hospital, not a prison, because the nut house is where he belongs.Posted by: Marissa at May 7, 2010 5:30 PM
This is so stupid looking. Walking out into his office as if it were a real studio with an audience is SO lame.
The prison guy reminds me of "Prison Mike" from The Office.Posted by: Josh Brahm at May 7, 2010 5:48 PM
very diplomatic of you Jill ;)Posted by: Andy at May 7, 2010 5:54 PM

"To tell you the truth Roy, I'm already stuffed!"
My first reaction is "cheesy" and my second reaction is cancelled after the first airing.Posted by: Monte at May 7, 2010 6:31 PM
I love it! We need to start mocking them like they do us. And for mental health purposes, we need to laugh while we do it.
Randall accomplishes both here. Love the 'better to be tried by 12 than carried by six.'
He is a riot. As a musician, I was also impressed by his piano/vocal capabilities. On key at every moment! God has certainly gifted this man.
May God bless him.
I was just going to say, Andy...
Such restraint, Jill.Posted by: carder at May 7, 2010 9:36 PM
“We need to start mocking them like they do us.” Maureen at 7:47 PM
Although, pointing out the foolishness of others as an object lesson in how not to act is what wisdom calls for…it ought to be tempered with some diplomatic respect to the persons involved.
The temptation to heap public mockery on some act of foolishness, whether it be a friend or a foe, is unwise council when the ultimate goal is to convert them to your side…even if obtaining that goal seems unlikely. The better course is to always “love your enemies” by finding ways to help them see and understand themselves, the world, and what they are doing more clearly. When you mock another person in a cruel way everyone (except a fellow mocker) loses some degree of respect for you and what you may have to say.
“Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares;
at the head of the noisy streets she cries out, in the gateways of the city she makes her speech:
"How long will you simple ones love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?”
Proverbs 1:20-22 (NIV)
"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,”
Luke 6:27 (NIV)
There is a rhetorical difference between belittling derisive remarks and “tough-love” commentary. Well done Jill.
I know you are not a professional journalist or critic so
I will take your words with a grain of salt but if I was
you I would be careful of the words you speak, you
never know which ones you will have to eat.
Your words seem to "get in your way".....
I'll be praying for your soul.

Sorry, I don't care for Randy Terry, especially since he dumped his wife for a younger woman.Posted by: Phillymiss at May 10, 2010 11:34 AM
