Sunday funnies 11-29-09

Ok, friends, as the Thanksgiving holiday draws to a close, it's time to reorient ourselves to the healthcare debate. To help get your blood boiling, here's a particularly nasty political cartoon from the other side...

Re: the first "comic" on the page.

Our government run Indian medical system is shameful. I don't think liberals really need to be drawing attention to that particular point as a positive for their cause.

Hi Lauren 10:31am

I agree this "cartoon" is in terrible taste. I find no humor in what was early biological warfare by infecting men, women, and children with this horrendous disease. And to think this comes from the "other side", who always consider themselves such bastions of tolerance and sensitivity.

But then "savages" weren't really human anyway and simply didn't realize they would be better off dead.

HIstory repeats itself.

I love the smallpox cartoon. It's perfect. It's the finest vehicle for teaching our young people the tactics employed by the Democrats and their sympathizers.

Accuse the other side of what are actually YOUR sins.

They preach tolerance, yet engage in disgusting ad hominems against any with whom they disagree.

Preach inclusivity, yet try to shut down the voice of faithful Christians in the public square.

Preach women's health and then promote condom use which actually leads to the spread of disease.

Preach family, yet fund abortion.

To decipher their true intent, just listen to what they say and then think of what the diametric opposite would be. It never fails.

This cartoon should be considered in light of Obama's promises that healthcare would not be rationed, immediately followed by government recommendations that annual mammograms be put off for ten years.

Priceless.

It is a myth that the Indians were deliberately infected with smallpox.

Hans Johnson,

It is not a myth that disease took a huge toll on native populations whether the infecting was deliberate or not, and I remain convinced it wasn't always accidental. Either way this cartoon is in extremely poor taste.
