Wow, I think I set a personal record, gleaning 28 political cartoons from this week's pile that I thought were pretty good. So like last week I'll confine myself today to posting my top 5 favorites.

I was watching an old episode of 'Rawhide' the other day and the herd stampeded, so Gil Favor and Rowdy Yates and the rest of the drovers made a mad dash to get out front of the cattle and turn them.
There is an inherent risk in trying to get out front. The herd might just trample you.
I see B.O. trying to get out front of the angry wave of populism that swept Scott Brown into office. [You know those angry white men clinging to their God, their gun, and their wallets.]
B.O. says it is the same wave that swept him into office.
[Obeservation: B.O. is trying to co-opt the wave for his purposes. If he gets out front then he can claim leadership. It is all about B.O.!]
I am hearing the tune 'Wipeout' in my mind. It is instrumental tune that made it big in the 60's.
The term 'wipeout' refers to the violent ending of an unsuccessful attempt to surf a large wave.
Every true surfer knows no two waves are the same.
A lesson that is lost on B.O.!
But then B.O., spinning and dissembling aside, knows that the voters of Massachusettes voted for Scott Brown because the four main planks of Brown's platform repudiated B.O. and the democRATS agenda.
Go ahead B.O. get out front of that crowd and ride that wave.

B.O., it's tone deaf self promoting and self serving politicians!
Followed by the economy, stupid.
Followed by the war on Jew hating mass murderers and serial killers.

Is that first cartoon supposed to be a reference to 'The Day That Senator Ted Kennedy Drove Off The Chapiquitic Bridge'? [Sung to the tune of 'Ode to Bill Joe'.

Stumbled across this gem search of the correct spelling for 'chapiquitic'.

What came to my mind is "Obamacare sleeps with the fishes." And I say good riddance.Posted by: Lori Pieper at January 24, 2010 12:55 PM
do you realize that there would be fewer abortions if people had access to reproductive healthcare and health education? or that those children you want so desperately to be born would be better off with pre and post natal health care?Posted by: l at January 24, 2010 1:22 PM
Health education? Health education??
You mean this kind of health education?

In response to this comment:
"do you realize that there would be fewer abortions if people had access to reproductive healthcare and health education? or that those children you want so desperately to be born would be better off with pre and post natal health care?"
Do YOU realize that Planned Parenthood's Guttmacher Inst. studies support our contention that increased access to "health education" (read that sex techniques training) for our young people, and increased access to "birth control" (substandard BCP's and flawed condoms) both supplied by Planned Parenthood and their ilk, actually leads to an increase in pregnancy and abortion rates? Hmmmm?Posted by: Amy Hofer at January 24, 2010 3:18 PM
L, do you realize that when you decriminalize (and subsidize) something you get MORE of it?Posted by: Cranky Catholic at January 24, 2010 3:55 PM
That about sums it up. Obama does not know what he is doing.Posted by: Abortion Support at January 24, 2010 8:10 PM
