It would be good if Obama could be a dictator:
This coming a guy who had sex with his lover Mia Farrow's teenage daughter, to whom he had been a stepfather.
Arlen, you should have learned from the experiences of politicians who "rethought" their opposition to abortion and flipflopped after falling for the progaganda that PA forces were prepared to swarm to the voting booths like the hordes of Ghengis Kahn and just destroy PL politicians. These flipfloppers only handed the elections to their opponents.
Ya see Arlen, switch your stand for expediency and no one on either side of any issue trusts you. Too bad you don't have a better memory.Posted by: Mary at May 23, 2010 8:08 AM

Mary: Interesting, is it not, that the MSM would centerpiece the Woody Allen musings, like they actually were worthy of reporting. Such is the state of our media/elitist class. And speaking of elitism, Arlen fell prey to that virus and began to think he was something special. Orrin Hatch, to a lesser degree is also showing symptoms of having acquired this virus in statements about Kagan.
That cartoon featuring the bright faced Doogie Howser kid spouting innocent nonsense--if it were only that simple. Problem is that Obama and his handlers know exactly what they are doing--creating a permanent dependency class. This will be the new normal, a place where we only win if the dependency class is too lazy to pull themselves out of bed on election day.
The genius of our founding fathers will be put to the test in November. We have a chance to begin to extricate ourselves from the grips of the new Marxism during this upcoming and succeeding elections. Once we succeed (failure is not an option) in the fall we have to turn our sights to 2012 and redouble our efforts. The new normal in American politics is that the majority of Dem legislative and executive office holders cannot be counted on to counter to a significant degree the extreme leftist agenda of their party leadership. Worse, it appears that these rank and file legislators are for the most part just as far gone as their leadership.
loved the tea bag being "dipped" into the capitol....hilarious!Posted by: LizFromNebraska at May 23, 2010 1:52 PM
The "buy a car but don't drive it" is typical of Obama's non sequitur thinking.
Kind of like, have sex but not kids.Posted by: hippie at May 23, 2010 2:57 PM

The Great American Revival of the 21st Century
Americans need to understand something--that we are in a war for our very own survival. And that there are many fronts on this war. One front is Islamic aggression--either through terrorist acts, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan or by colonization here stateside. Another front is from Mexico, where that nation is encouraging its people to come to America illegally and colonize it in order to repatriate formerly held Mexican territories. Still another front is the Marxist attempt to demoralize and destabilize our nation from within--it is an attack on the economy, the morals, the education, the religion and the freedoms held in the US Constitution.
It would seem that we as Americans have lost our bearing. Many have given in to the longstanding strategy of the leftists to embrace that America and who she is, what she is, is bad and has done more bad than good. Many have given in to the strategy of the leftists that homosexuality, which is nothing more than sexual perversion, is a protected class of people. Many have given in to the strategy of the leftists that Islam is a peaceful religion whose anger is only a result of being poor and misunderstood. Many have given in to the strategy of the leftists to teach "critical thinking" which in of itself programs its victims to become indecisive and without absolute truths.
President Ronald Reagan entered the White House at a similar time, although things have progressed exponentially worse since the 1980 election. But Reagan gave America hope, not a false hope of government bail outs, government ownership of healthcare, the financial industry, the insurance industry, the auto industry, but a hope based in the inalienable rights endowed by our Creator of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He did not believe that the government should be giving hard earned tax dollars away to buy votes. He believed in the enterprising and industrious rugged individualism that has characterized the greatness of America since its early settlers.
Borrowing from Jesus Christ, Reagan described his vision of America as that shining city on a hill. Indeed, Jesus said in Matthew 5:14, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid." In 1630, John Winthrop told future Massachusetts colonists, "For we must consider that we shall be as a city upon a hill. The eyes of all people are upon us. So that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken... we shall be made a story and a by-word throughout the world." I believe we are still that light, that shining city even though we have dealt falsely with our God in this work. And we have lost our nation for a time. By turning back to God, we can revive our nation and heal our land.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!
