Gory imagery

Blogger placenta sandwich at the Abortioneers blog posted a rant against pro-life violence on May 10 and inserted the following picture in the middle of it. So I've stared at this photo for 2 days and just don't get it. Perhaps someone can explain?

gory imagery.jpg

Placenta sandwich called our graphic images "photoshopped fetus posters" anyway, even while claiming to be an abortion provider. So, placenta, why not take some of your own pictures and show us what aborted babies really look like?

Comments:

I don't get it either. This protester might not even be pro-abort, necessarily. Either her sign means that pro-aborts are right and so pro-lifers are relegated using graphic images because that's the next best thing, or it means that the only thing better than the fact that the images are on the pro-life side is that the pro-life side is 100% right. For the life of me, I can not figure out which one it is, though.

*is confused*

I've always asked the same thing. Not one poor-choicer has ever risen to the challenge. These are all "Abortion land" people-- it should be easy for them to come up with the goods, right?

Her proud proclamation demonstrates the granite-like hardness of her heart and her seared conscience.

It's tragic.

She is consumed with her cause, her independence, her autonomy: a woman's right to do what she wants to do with her life, and to kill any unborn child that threatens to disrupt her plan...

even if it's her own child.

And it doesn't matter how gory, how upsetting, how heart-breaking the imagery of the torture and slaughter of innocent, defenseless, vulnerable little children...

It doesn't matter...she's "right".

She is in for a rude awakening the severity of which mere words cannot adequately convey.

Their blood cries out.

My thought on the matter is this: I think she is trying to take the high moral ground by claiming to be right while decrying the tactics of those who use photos. This is because "a photo is worth a thousand words" & she's angry about what she considers an unfair advantage being taken by those of us who use photos. She only has her perverted sense of justice but feels if she can shame people into not using photos, she will no longer feel the shame that inevitably comes to one who feels free to destroy others.

Btw, What's up with the cape?

Posted by: Jan at May 12, 2010 8:51 PM

Very observant Jan...me thinks she believes she's Wonder Woman.

The gold color symbolizes her quest to hoard wealth while she's killing innocent children by the dozens.

Posted by: Ed at May 12, 2010 8:58 PM

I think she's saying that since you're wrong, all you can do is show gory pictures. You're coming in second place; after them who are "right".

Posted by: Dena at May 12, 2010 9:01 PM

She's mad cause we are right and we are winning and she is the reason there are gory images of dismembered babies in the first place.....and her cape is too tight and cutting off the circulation to her brain.

Posted by: carla Author Profile Page at May 12, 2010 9:18 PM

It's probably a very good thing that we don't totally get it.

When I was in counseling I kept telling the counselor I was stupid for falling for all the BS my ex-husband pulled. She told me that I wasn't stupid, just naive and that if I thought like and understood him, I would be a sociopath! (:

What's the deal behind the name Placenta Sandwich?

Posted by: Praxedes at May 12, 2010 9:18 PM

"She's mad cause we are right and we are winning..."

Wow, I'd hate to see the abortion numbers if the pro-life side were losing.

Wow - we are winning? Who knew?

Carla,
Cape - LOL.

Not sure what the poster message means. for an interesting video - Go to the abortioneers site and click on the link to the Chicago Abortion Fund (which appears in the body of the first post at abortioneers). There's a very sad, poorly produced 7 minute video on the CAF site that's a must see. About 6:30 into the video the host takes a call from a man who wants to ask them a question about adoption as an alternative to abortion, but he's cut off before he can say the word "adoption". They can't be more obvious that adoption is NOT an option.
The hosts are resigned to the fact that women need second trimester abortions for a variety of sad reasons (although they do manage to smile from time to time). The black woman says she lives near Roberson High School which has a one in eight teen abortion/motherhood rate. Would someone please give these girls some hope? Where are the community leaders in the Englewood neighborhood?

Posted by: Janet at May 12, 2010 10:08 PM

Think momentum EGV.

Yes, tragically, babies are still being killed by the thousands and thousands every day but there has never been (I don't believe, someone correct me if I'm wrong) a Pro-Life majority in our country since Roe v. Wade until now.

The election of BO was the just one is a series of events that is pushing public opinion in our favor. The advances in ultrasound technology is making the case for personhood in pictures and images worth countless thousands of words. The relentless efforts of groups like CBR and Justice for All are refusing to allow people to ignore or trivialize the brutal injustice executed in our own neighborhoods. The graphic depictions of Partial Birth Abortion made a tremendous impact.

And, at the heart of it all, there's the repentance and prayers of the saints.

I can feel the momentum shifting.

Don't you?

Posted by: Ed at May 12, 2010 10:14 PM

And you know what EGV?

Even if we weren't winning, even if we had no hope of winning, I wouldn't be deterred in my resolve or Pro-Life efforts in the least.

We are called to fight the good fight, regardless of the perceived outcome.

It's our duty.

It requires our faithfulness, our best effort.

Jill,

You're asking us to enter the mind of a pro-abort activist wearing her old curtain as a cape...

Do we get combat pay for trying?

I think that wonder woman is saying that we are wrong on abortion and trying to build a case from pictures of little chopped-up-soon-to be-but-not-yet-cause-I-say-so-babies.

But the real question is whether she was out on a weekend pass or an extended furlough?

I just took a look at the Abortioneers site & couldn't take the ugly hype & language long enough to last a couple min. The evil there is palpable! I've been so brave as to tangle with the hornets on RH Reality Factor, tho. They are a bit more civilized than the aforementioned blog, but you better have plenty of putzbah (sp?) to go up against their rabidly 'poor choice' rhetoric!
So glad I found this blog. A port in the storm! :)

Hey Placenta Sandwich,

Why don't we do the "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth thing"

You show us the results of a baby being allowed to live and we CONTINUE showing you the results what abortion does...this way we can show the TRUTH of what each of us support, how about that?

Any Takers?

Dog On The Menu For Chinese Astronauts

[There is a fellow who lives in the mountains in Colorado who used to call into Rush Limbaugh's radio show. Said he used puppies that humans abandoned near his rural home to make 'chili'. Said if he didn't kill em and eat em the elements and the predators would. He killed them quick and painlessly. Said the 'wild kingdom' does not show such deferrence to cute puppies or kittens.

My wifes brother in law, Stu, does business in communist china. Stu is a dog lover. On one of his business trips his representative there took him to a popular restaurant for dinner. The 'rep' knew the owner of the restaurant so he arranged for him to take Stu on a tour of the kitchen. Stu said on one wall in the back of the kitchen were cages with live dogs in them. Not quite the same as choosin which lobster you want for supper. Stu suddenly remembered he was scheduled for heart bypass surgery and beat a hasty retreat.]

Bill Clinton Offers Himself As Lottery Prize To Pay Off Hillary’s Debts

May 13, 2010

'timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article7124638.ece'

By 2007, seven years after leaving the White House, the Clintons had earned a combined $109 million (£73 million) through speaking engagements and bestselling memoirs.

Even so, apparently they would prefer American voters to settle Mrs Clinton’s remaining $771,000 debt rather than paying it themselves.

This is the second time in a year that Mr Clinton has offered himself as a lottery prize to whittle down his wife’s debt, something that makes some of their supporters cringe.

For those who would like the One-Day-With-Bill prize, an online donation of as little as $5 (£3) will buy them the chance.

He [Billy Boy] is raffling himself. In an e-mail sent to millions of people who supported Hillary Clinton’s White House campaign, the former President asks: “How would you like the chance to come up to New York and spend the day with me?”

“Hillary’s campaign still has a few vestiges of debt that I know she would like to see paid in full. Will you reach out today to help Hillary this one last time?” Mr Clinton asks. In her marathon battle against Barack Obama Mrs Clinton’s debts peaked at $25.2 million. More than $13 million of that she lent to her own campaign — a huge sum that she will never recoup.

Ugh, the moniker "placenta sandwich" conjures up such unpleasant mental imagery that I've noticed a marked decrease in my appetite since I first read it.

Hmm, perhaps I can use that as a diet device... every time I want to eat something I don't need, all I have to do is think "placenta sandwich". Gross, LOL.

On a previous thread Gerad Nedal commented about psychiatrists that have given up trying to help patients get over their mental issues and instead have joined them as promoters and apologists. Anyway, this chick is cut from the same cloth. Rather than confront dysfunction, she embraces it. Bizarre.

Nine Accused of Accessing Obama’s Student Loan Records

Ann McGlynn The Quad-City Times | Posted:

'qctimes.com/news/local/article_addbe3a6-5e1b-11df-b44a-001cc4c03286.html'

Nine people are accused of accessing the student loan records of Barack Obama when he was a candidate for president, president-elect and president.

They are charged with exceeding computer access.

Each faces up to a year in prison and a $100,000 fine, if convicted.

Each of indictments POSTED ONLINE were brief, saying the charged individual “intentionally exceeded authorized access to a computer and thereby obtained information from a department and agency of the United States” and “intentionally accessed student loan records” of Obama without authorization.

---------------------------------------------------
Thank GOD none of them were actually Federal Government 'employees' or an active duty U. S. Army officer using an agency computer on government time to surf the net for porn sites or trading emails with Jew hating mass murdering muslim extremists.

How many people have been charged, before or since, with violating this same statute where b.o. was not the subject of their inquiries?

Hal, you want to venture a guess.

And if by some quirk of chance they were charged, how many those indicements were posted on the internetA?

Posted by: yor bro ken at May 13, 2010 12:04 PM

Perhaps she is using a double play on words, slamming the authenticity of the images and her opponents on the political right. If "right" refers to conservative prolifers, her sign takes on a different meaning.

Posted by: Fed Up at May 13, 2010 12:30 PM

Jill,
I think it's pretty clear in her opening statement: "It's time to stop treating us as two equal sides in a reasonable debate. Let's get it clear -- they are the perpetrators and we are the victims."
Therein lies the mind set that demonstrates we can not find commmon ground - and the Bible supports that ... 2 Cor 6:14-16a "Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? 15 What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement does God's sanctuary have with idols?"
1 Jn 2:11 "But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him."
It's one thing to be unaware and not know when a baby is developed or has a heart beat, but...
HOW can we begin to understand someone SEEING the truth and calling it a lie - still being blinded by the god of this world? "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness...who acquit the guilty for a bribe and deprive the innocent of justice." Sounds like abortion to me...
I'm not so sure I want, or am called to understand. Have compassion for their lost soul? Absolutely! Pray for them? Yes! Comprehend the rationale? Not sure. Evil is evil. Sin is sin. God Is God.
I have hated before. God says that makes me a murderer. I have repented and am no longer a murderer. Nor do I wish to become one again. But not hating, to me, doesn't equal understanding...

Has anyone asked Placenta Sandwich what her sign means? Explain the brilliance behind the eloquence.

Posted by: carla Author Profile Page at May 13, 2010 4:35 PM

I know that I am the odd man out on here but I really feel that images of aborted babies drive away the very people we want to help. I understand the reasons people give for going that route but me and my family will continue to only become involved with groups that choose not to.
Her sign is really kind of odd though.

Posted by: Ticia at May 13, 2010 9:12 PM

I agree Ticia - I was at an ultrasound this week, and it was very powerful - much more so than the images (in my estimation).

Posted by: Ex-GOP Voter at May 13, 2010 9:59 PM

There are many that are moved by the images of aborted babies. Especially those that truly believe that it is just a bunch of cells. The tiny hands, feet, arms and legs refute that lie better than anything else.
For those that claim to support abortion but screech at a photo of what an abortion does to a tiny child's body, that speaks more to their conscience than the person holding the sign.

I do not mind them especially the ones at 10 weeks, how far along I was when I had my abortion.

Sign: If you can't be right (about abortion) the next best thing is to show gory images.

Posted by: Debbie at May 14, 2010 7:22 AM

We are right that abortion is wrong and use photos of aborted children to prove it.

Mangled bodies of children after they have been aborted SHOULD leave us filled with righteous anger at the evil perpetrated on the most vulnerable among us. And in memory of those children killed in such a horrific manner continually keep us fighting the good fight until NO CHILD has to ever endure being ripped from their mother's womb.
