Is your congressperson on this list from GOP House Whip Eric Cantor [pictured right]? CALL!
As of today, at least 69 Democrats have expressed opposition to the Speaker's health care bill. As the bill comes to the House floor, how many Democrats will stand up and vote against a health care bill that raises taxes, cuts benefits to seniors, and spends money that families and small businesses across America cannot afford?
Pelosi needs 39 to carry the majority.
Meanwhile USA Today just posted...
Some of the most vulnerable Democrats in the House are starting to flake off the health care bill.
There are a dozen first-term Democrats representing districts that Republican presidential nominee John McCain won last year. So far, six have announced that they will vote against their party's health care bill.
Four of those announcements came today. All 4 of the lawmakers who announced opposition cited concerns about the price tag of the legislation, estimated by the Congressional Budget Office to be more than $1 trillion over 10 years.

Ugh, Mine is not on the list. He represents pro-life, Hispanic district too. At least Chet Edward's is there. He's a democrat from the Waco area who Republican's have been trying to replace for years. Good to know that he's standing with us on this one.Posted by: Lauren at November 6, 2009 5:31 PM

We may have found a running mate for Sarah Palin.
The Mother Who Brought Down The Fort Hood Killer
Chris Ayres in Fort Hood, Texas
"A police officer and mother of one was hailed a heroine yesterday after it emerged that she almost single handedly ended the massacre at America’s biggest military base."
"Ms Kimberly Munley succeeded in bringing him down by shooting him four times, even after being hit by a bullet that passed through both her legs, according to witnesses."
"General Cone said that Ms Munley’s actions demonstated that an aggressive response to a mass-shooting can save lives. “She walked up and engaged him,” he said."
Hey B.O., you payin' attention, you girly man you?
This is how you handle people who are at war with you.
You respond in kind and you give better than you get.
B.O. it is too bad you weren't at Fort Hood when the firefight broke out.
It would have been real interesting watching you 'engaging' this unhappy soldier in some meaningful dialog.
Some how I don't think your method would have been effective, even with the assistance of your ever faithful companion, TOTUS.

At any peaceful protest, whether its from the right or the left, there are always at least a few offensive signs. I sure remember when leftists protested Bush and there were Bush as Hitler signs and much worse.
However as I said the vast majority do not do this. But trust the leftist Huff Post to show only these signs.

Here you go Bystander.... proof the left had a lot of signs of Bush as Hitler and more.Posted by: Joanne at November 7, 2009 1:06 AM
Hey Jennifer and Laura Loo, thanks! I was in an airport and scrambling to get the post up (not that I need an excuse to make mistakes... :).Posted by: Jill Stanek at November 7, 2009 7:11 AM
Why don't you ask Cantor, Boehner, Bachmann and each and every other GOP member in Congress why they haven't given up their own low cost or no cost government provided health care? None has.
The GOP members of congress are 100% in favor of government health care for themselves, they just don't want you to have the opportunity.Posted by: Bystander at November 7, 2009 7:26 AM
BTW, I am a bit tired of the right wing meme that someone called Bush Hitler 8 years ago, so now the right wing can call Obama and every Democrat Hitler for the next millenium. How stupid. How childish.
If your kid says everyone is going to a drinking party and it is a tradition for sophomores do you say "well sure, in that case, it is fine!"?Posted by: Bystander at November 7, 2009 7:40 AM
Please, either a link or direct quotes from these "racist and anti-semitic" signs.
Speaking of racist and anti-semitic, are you aware that Obama's pastor, Jeremiah Wright, issued an award to the local racist/anti-semite Louis Farrakhan? I wonder if Obama had any issue with this. Oh that's right, Obama sat in the church 20 years and was oblivious to everything his pastor said and did.Posted by: Mary at November 7, 2009 8:19 AM
Way to misunderstand on purpose, bystander.
The meme is actually, "No matter who is in power, there will always be some crackpots who have nasty signs at protests".Posted by: Elisabeth at November 7, 2009 9:14 AM
Mods... I posted a request on the House Call II thread to have some vulgarities removed. Just in case you don't see it.Posted by: Elisabeth at November 7, 2009 9:24 AM

Do you have a mind of your own?
Do you have a mind that you own?
A mind is a horrible thing to waste.
Use or loose it!
B.O.'s a big boy. He has plenty of spokeweasels, both paid and unpaid.
Then there are the boot licking obsequious servile sycophants who would pay B.O. to carry his water (think chamber pot or bed pan).
Which one(s) are you?

"Oh that's right, Obama sat in the church 20 years and was oblivious to everything his pastor said and did."
But B.O. can clearly remember his maternal grandmother's racists remark from more than 30 years ago.

Thank you, Bobby! Hey, how is that baby of yours doing... must be getting big now.Posted by: Elisabeth at November 7, 2009 10:45 AM
kbhvac-LOL... SO TRUE!Posted by: tj at November 7, 2009 10:50 AM
Haha, yes she is big. In fact, she is in the 75th percentile for height and weight, which is a complete opposite of her big sister who was in roughly the 7th percentile for height and weight at her age. God love you.Posted by: Bobby Bambino at November 7, 2009 10:52 AM
Well, hug that cutie pie for me, and give our love to your wife as well. I'm waiting for Ari's birthday cake to come out of the oven.
I asked her how old she was and she said, "Three!" I said, "No, baby you're four now!" And she said, "No, I'm still three. I haven't had my cake yet!" Apparently THAT makes you age.
I may never eat cake again... LOLPosted by: Elisabeth at November 7, 2009 11:19 AM
Bystander @ 7:26 AM, you very nearly make a good point. It's both parties who are protecting their federal health plans. You can check their premiums here:
The feds--Democrat, Republican, and Independent--are keeping their private plans in their own federal employee insurance exchange to avoid higher premiums. But don't take my word for it. You can read the statements of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association's legislative director here:
Furthermore, if the final version of the bill classifies federal employee health plans as qualifying coverage (as at least one version of the senate bill did) then Congress is also exempting itself and family members from taxes levied on average citizens by pre-qualifying themselves but not everyone else with coverage in place prior to the bill's passage.
It mystifies me that either side in this debate would let Congress get away with this. You'd think that one thing we could all agree on is that Congress should have to play by the same rules that "we the people" do.Posted by: Fed Up at November 7, 2009 12:05 PM
I agree with Fed Up, that Federal employees' plans should be the same as those available to everyone else. (world ends abruptly :) )Posted by: Bystander at November 7, 2009 12:28 PM
To those who demand to see the offensive signs, go to Huffington Post and view the feature on "The Most Offensive Signs". If you are in denial, I can't make you go there, but don't claim they don't exist, merely because Fox carefully edits them out of its coverage.Posted by: Bystander at November 7, 2009 3:49 PM

We don't need to go some other website to find an example of 'offensive signs'.
We can remain right here and observe by your feeble attempts at inteligent discourse which would be offensive to any rational person of minimal intelligence if they bothered to take your inane ramblings seriously.
Why don't you make an attempt at humor.
You might like it and you might even be good at it.
But I suggest you go to ebay and see if you can get a 'sense of humor'. I am sure there are some liberals there who have one they are not using.
You go girl!

"Why don't you ask Cantor, Boehner, Bachmann and each and every other GOP member in Congress why they haven't given up their own low cost or no cost government provided health care? None has."
It may have escaped your notice that the democ-RATs control both houses of congress and the executive branch of the federal government.
The democ-RATs can vote to give up ALL of the federal government employees and elective representatives health care.
You liberals won, remember!?!
Just get your fellow libs to give it up.
