Hodari parades new trash cans

Detroit Free Press today updated us on late-term abortionist and trash freer Alberto Hodari.

And the news is very exciting. I hope you're sitting down:

The owner of a Lathrup Village clinic accused of improperly disposing of medical waste said Tuesday that he's putting biohazard bags in every examination room to ensure that materials don't end up in regular trash bins again....

Thumbnail image for biohazard2.jpg

At his clinic in Lathrup Village... Hodari showed off eight new trash cans with red biohazard bags for hazardous materials. He has also purchased shredders for documents with patient information.

What, did he call a press conference?

So before now there were not biohazard bags in every "examination room," i.e., operating room in which to toss "materials," i.e., aborted babies?

What an idiot. The reporter, too....

But there's more.

Hodari... said he doubts aborted fetuses were in the Dumpsters.

This guy is the Baghdad Bob of the abortion industry.

Snippets of good news from the piece. Hodari could be fined up to $2,500 for each violation, and police have said they will turn the case over to the county prosecutor this week.

That said, I spoke with Monica Miller tonight, the pro-lifer who took pictures and video of the aborted babies from Hodari's trash. She spoke to the prosecutor's office today, and they have not received anything from police and have not opened a file.

Comments:

The nerve of Hodari to think he can get away with this by lying. He must think we are a country of morons. Hold him accountable!

You are a country of morons. But then so is Canada!
He'll NEVER be charged. It's not politically correct to do so.
They're just dead unborn babies - that's all.

we live in a sick society, it's ill, sick to the core.

How can we be so sure the shredders are for documents?

Posted by: Ellie at March 19, 2008 10:28 PM

Ellie, that is nasty..... and a valid question.

But I think they like garbage disposals most for that. Less unwanted spray.

A legitimate hospital could be closed down for sloppy disposal of biohazardous waste.

Isn't it the most horrible thing? "But it's all about helping women in their time of need." Evil!

Posted by: Janet at March 19, 2008 11:11 PM

but, but, but...remember everyone: These are abortion clinics. They're not regulated, which is why they get away with it in the first place.

This low-life acts like he should be given a medal for getting bio-hazard bags and a paper shredder. That's just SO commendable of him, now isn't it?

Sooner or later, the liberal politicians and judges, and police depts, are going to HAVE to do something about the blatant arrogance of abortionists. Too many situations and evidence of what REALLY goes on in these places have come to light recently. Every time one hits the media (and more and more of them are) it makes it all the more clear to the public what this industry is all about. Every time it does, one more piece of the facade of "choice" crumbles...revealing what's underneath it all.

We should actually be GLAD these baby parts and records were discovered, because it shows the public the truth. It's practically free "advertising" for our side.

I still maintain that the abortion industry is it's own worst enemy. It's deteriorating from the inside out on it's own. It's gotten too confident and is now collapsing in on itself by it's own arrogance and sloppy practices.

They can't hide anymore. They're running out of ways to dupe the public and you can bet they're in a state of panic. Their best ally, the media, is being forced to turn on them and not a moment too soon!

------------------------------------------

Well, I think we ARE a country of morons to allow people like Hodari to retain medical licenses!
And until the government decides to actually regulate abortion clinics like they would any OTHER medical facility, these sorts of things will continue to happen.

The man has admitted to not washing his HANDS in between patients!! Of COURSE he wouldn't care about medical waste bags!

And he "doubts" there were aborted fetuses in the dumpsters? Sorry, Hodari, we've seen the video evidence. If there were medical syringes just tossed aside in there, why not the babies? Hmm? Sure, and we should believe you...why?? Because you're such an upstanding citizen known for your honesty? Oh, ok. *excuse the sarcasm...*

And calling the press to let them know all this is laughable, it's so desperate.

What does he want now? A medal?

I agree, Mike. Great point.

Though they were sentenced to death, let their blood cry out to the heavens. Let the truth be seen.

Patricia, the babies were born. And the babies were killed in a grisly fashion as they were being born. So now they are dead. You strike me as someone who likes to post with blatant malice towards the babies just to get a rise from people and draw attention. Next time tell us why you feel no compassion for babies getting ripped apart while they are alive in their mother's womb.

Patricia,
I see your psts on the Tiller blog and they are very pro life. I don't like sarcasm, I don't think it is healthy.

Mike and Heather,

Biohazard bags and paper shredders. I bet the next announcement will be that he is now washing his hands between patients!

Posted by: Mary at March 20, 2008 8:17 AM

Mary, ROFL! Mike, I've just read your post. Great points. Mary, Every single doctor I've ever been to has washed his/her hands before ever laying a hand on me.

Posted by: heather at March 20, 2008 8:22 AM

Heather and Mike,

Any reputable doctor would be embarassed to admit he/she has only recently acquired biohazard bags and has only just started taking precautions to protect patient confidentiality. Hodari treats it like a badge of honor.

Posted by: Mary at March 20, 2008 8:45 AM

Can't he at least be charged with HIPAA violations?

Posted by: RSD at March 20, 2008 9:22 AM

RSD, good question.

Posted by: heather at March 20, 2008 9:29 AM

I'm certain patients could file lawsuits for violation of confidentiality. I know confidentiality standards at the hospital I work at are very rigid. We are all warned of instant termination of employment if we are looking at records, even on the computer, that we have no professional reason to look at.

Posted by: Mary at March 20, 2008 9:36 AM

Jill, did you notice that suddenly Hodari's clinics are no longer listed on the NAF page? Did they decide that dumping patient records in the trash was a bigger no-no than killing the patients in question, or did he just stop paying his membership fees? Inquiring minds want to know!

Mary -

The law does not protect patients rights in an unregulated clinic. Since the government doesn't regulate it than other government regulations and guidelines cannot be enforced either.

This is just another long line of legal loopholes I've been discovering in my research on why abortion clinics are fighting being regulated in Kansas and Missouri. The only thing the law forces on unregulated clinics is that the doctor's license be in good standing. The reason this is enforced is because it is in a completely different set of laws.

Once again - more proof that vet hospitals are more regulated and cleaner than some abortion clinics.

Good thing Woman's rights is the #1 priority for NOW....oops, maybe it isn't.

Christina, I couldn't find him either.

Posted by: heather at March 20, 2008 10:30 AM

Valerie,

Very interesting, thank you. Patients don't even have the option of legal action. NOW should learn to be very careful what it wishes for. Didn't they oppose regulations?

Posted by: Mary at March 20, 2008 10:41 AM

How can we be so sure the shredders are for documents?

You aren't serious. I know you cannot be serious. You aren't stupid.

Can't he at least be charged with HIPAA violations?

Yes, he will, probably. I worked in a chiropractor's office for several years and you have to keep records for a certain amount of time for insurance purposes, and when that time is up you have to shred them. Good. He should be charged with that.

He will also probably be charged for the improper disposal of the remains. Now, we obviously never had remains to dispose of at the chiropractor's office, but I know that there are health laws about the disposal of biohazardous waste. Good. He should be charged with that too. I certainly don't want fetal tissue finding its way chez moi.

It reminds me of "Fight Club" when they rob the liposuction clinic for human fat. Gross...

Why not contact these women and encourage them to sue him? Hit him where it hurts..his pocketbook.

Posted by: Elizabeth at March 20, 2008 3:09 PM

Elizabeth, I doubt these women could even recover a penny in damages. Look at how many abortionists have actually killed their patients, and yet it's rare to ever hear of a family suing and winning. My bet? This will just be swept under the rug like all of the other cases like it. That's the abortion industry for ya.

Posted by: heather at March 20, 2008 4:33 PM

Even something as serious as the baby/bleach case. I wonder if those involved will ever be prosecuted.

I have heard that this website is wonderful, but after visiting it I’ll disagree with most of the people, who think so. Yes, there is some fresh and interesting information but most of it looks unprsentable. There are so many ways to check information, haven’t you heard of it? After trying it several times I realized, that it’s not unique.

Posted by: crazyman7 at April 6, 2008 3:29 PM

I prefer reading this kind of information when I’m alone in the room, so no one would see an expression on my face. It’s disgusting! I don’t believe a single grose word about it!
