Sharpton opposes daughter “getting rid of a child” by abortion

Even if people want to, uh, take away women’s right to choose, I would advise my daughters never to, uh, uh, get rid of a child, I don’t think I’d have a right to make a law about that. I don’t think we have a right to have the law determine marriage. What I do [...]

Rubio: Libs preach climate change but ignore science of conception

Just because [you] believe that life… all human life is worthy of protection at every stage in its development does not make you a chauvinist. In fact, the people who are actually closed-minded in American politics are the people that love to preach about the certainty of science in regards to our climate, but ignore [...]

Would Feinstein oppose abortion if they used guns to kill babies?

imageLast week Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz got Democrat colleague Dianne Feinstein’s “dander up,” as she later described her temper tantrum, when during a Judiciary Committee meeting he questioned the constitutionality of an assault weapons ban she had introduced. Feinstein snapped:

Mother sues clinic for failed abortion after delivering “miracle baby”

She said the doctor told her after the procedure that everything was “good and clear,” but she was constantly ill and in pain days afterward, leading to the emergency room visit where she learned she was still carrying a fetus. “The look on (the doctor’s) face when he found out, he was like, ‘Oh my [...]

Pro-abortion mayor Michael Bloomberg wants to “save lives”

I got to defend my children and you and everybody else and do what’s right to save lives…. Obesity kills. There’s just no question about it. ~ Pro-abortion New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, reacting to a judge’s decision to revoke the city-wide ban on the sale of 16 oz. sodas, as reported by the [...]

Democrat, feminist hypocrisy on legitimate rape-rape

Democrats and feminists have mounted a sustained attack against Missouri U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin for using the term “legitimate” rape, feigning horror at the implication there might be such a thing as “illegitimate” rape.

One liberal of distinction notably missing from the conversation is Whoopi Goldberg, who in 2009 defended director Roman Polanski by claiming his rape of a 13-yr-old in 1977 “wasn’t rape-rape,” she said. ” I think it was something else, but I don’t believe it was rape-rape.”

The conveniently ignored reality today is that just as men can victimize women by rape, women can victimize men by falsely accusing them of rape. It’s as old as the book of Genesis

No exceptions on abortion, because “children are not a punishment”

I used to be one of those “with exceptions” kinda people. I thought not making exceptions for cases of rape was wrong, (because at the time, my argument was primarily the consequences aspect of a willful action) and that NOT allowing for those exceptions was working against us as Pro-Lifers.

Catholic Relief Services collaborates with anti-life organizations?

According to CRS, its membership in the CORE Group is a “means of demonstrating our faithfulness to church teaching.” This defense, however, will be hard to use with MEDiCAM. Membership in such an organization, because of its deep involvement in the expansion of abortion in Cambodia, would be comparable to membership in the International Planned [...]

Paul Ryan’s abortion stance “consistent, not crazy”

Though most of the political squabbling over vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan will concern his controversial fiscal policies, the fact that the Wisconsin congressman is also staunchly pro-life guarantees he’ll be targeted with a secondary narrative about being an anti-choice extremist…. “Extreme” in the narrow, strategic sense of how far from majority opinion these views [...]

American Cancer Society CMO claims Planned Parenthood has largest OB practice in U.S.

Pro-life stalwart Abby Johnson recently received a request from the American Cancer Society for a donation via snail mail.

Abby responded with a note explaining she would not give to ACS because 1) it had given money to Planned Parenthood in the past and never recanted; and 2) it refused to acknowledge the link between abortion and breast cancer.

Abby expected nothing to come from her response but was surprised to receive a letter from Dr. Otis W. Brawley (pictured right), ACS’s Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President, Research and Cancer Control Science.

The surprise didn’t end there. In his letter, Dr. Brawley made the wild claim that “Planned Parenthood delivers more children than any other medical practice in the U.S.”

tasmania

I think that people will look at that and think that’s a step too far…. I find it really abhorrent to see the sort of campaign that’s been raised now on a really sensitive issue.

I’m concerned to see young kids involved in a debate like this.

There was a good point made in some of the commentary that I saw, that these young people are at an age that they haven’t actually lived long in the life to experience the competing issues that adults have to confront in their lifetime.

~ Pro-abortion Tasmanian Premier Lara Giddings (pictured above right; click to enlarge), commenting on silent protests at the Parliament involving “more than 200 people… [including] young children – some in school uniform… rall[ying] against proposed changes to the state’s laws to allow abortions up to 24 weeks into a pregnancy,” as quoted by ABC News, April 10
