We the taxpayers do. American Life League has just posted its latest video report spotlighting Planned Parenthood's new "Mile High" ad as well as favorite moments from other PP ads. Who could forget, for instance, the PP superhero who blasted pro-lifers to smithereens with a gun loaded with condoms?
ALL makes the connection between selling sex, selling contraceptives, and selling abortion. Of course.
In ALL's release announcing its latest video it noted that PP is starting to take notice of its ads in blogs and podcasts. Kudos!
Well done, ALL!
Wouldn't it be great if it could be aired on network television?
I don't know about the rest of you all, but I, for one, LOVE recreational sex! I've already had as many children as I want, but my spouse and I still enjoy making love. Why shouldn't we take advantage of the low-cost contraception offered at Planned Parenthood? Surely, ALL does not expect married couples to abstain until menopause, do they?Posted by: reality at January 14, 2008 3:34 PM

Why do you insist on being so obtuse?Posted by: Kristen at January 14, 2008 3:37 PM
What an obtuse response.Posted by: reality at January 14, 2008 3:40 PM
What an unimaginative response... Why would I expect anything more?Posted by: Kristen at January 14, 2008 3:44 PM
Other than the first line of reality's comment (the part about the recreational sex, which was a little over the top, in my opinion), reality brings up valid points. Her questions about contraception and the stance that ALL takes on it for married couples are understandable. Are there any answers for them?Posted by: Lyssie at January 14, 2008 3:49 PM
I haven't researched ALL's stance on contraception but if it follows the Church teachings NFP is acceptable. Of course this means abstinence during fertile times and reality seems WAY to childish for a little self sacrifice.Posted by: Kristen at January 14, 2008 4:01 PM
Go for it and have sex all you want with your wife. St. Paul says it's better if you don't have recreational sex but he goes on to say if you must then by all means do it with your wife so that you can maintain your fidelty to one another. How effective is the contraceptive you use? 95%? So if you have sex 20 times she is likely to get pregnant and you say your all done having kids. Hows that gonna work? You may want to look at Natural Family Planning too and use both at once. The combination of the two would be more effective at preventing pregnancy. I never use any contraceptives myself. The sex really wouldn't mean as much to me if I was actively trying to prevent pregnancy. It would be like pulling out each time and I don't enjoy that. How many kids do you have already and how old are they?
I met a guy the other day who was going to his organ operated on so it would perform again after a vasectomy. Sounds easier then your wife having to put all those hormones in her body all the time. And it would be 100% effective.
