Pregnant Stabbing Suspect Faces Judge

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - A Massachusetts woman who's seven months pregnant faced a judge Thursday on charges she stabbed three other people in Providence after an argument.

Nicole Bruton, a mother of three whose pregnancy is considered high-risk, has been the emergency-room coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for two years, is charged with three counts of felony assault for the incident.

"This defendant produced a knife from under her shirt, and which time she stabbed and slashed these three individuals," said prosecutors.

The victims, ages 37, 18 and 13, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident. Police said Bruton had fled the scene in a Porsche SUV, but was soon arrested.

Bruton's fiancé said he plans to post bail.

Other than the fact that she drives a Porsche/SUV there is no evidence to indicate that ms Bruton is a member of the 'tea party' movement.

The reporter did not provide any information as to what provoked ms Bruton to assault the victims with a knife. Neither did the reporter avail us of the relevance of her being pregnant.

The SUV is a troubling component to this disturbing incident of physical violence.

I hear you. We always hear how SUVs drive into ditches, go out of control, hit people, and even hit a man's home, striking him while on the toilet. These SUVs don't respect nothing.

No mention is ever made of drivers, so I can only conclude these vehicles are demonically possessed and looking for trouble. Perhaps the otherwise gentle and mild-mannered Ms.Bruton was possesed by hers?
