I think that in general, rodents are far more intelligent than people give them credit for. This squirrel obviously has some really good problem solving abilities. Lab rats have been proven to have something between the ears too. Too bad squirrels aren't allowed to be kept as pets. There would probably be a lot more examples of squirrel IQ if there were more of them in captivity. There is one squirrel that I saw on TV who was taught to water ski. A tiny toy boat and little tiny water skis and a little thing for the squirrel to hold on to. That little critter really water skied. It was cute.
