I thought this was a spoof on the New Orleans hurricane Katrina victims.

The liberal plantation has inculcated and fostered a culture of helplessness and dependence.

From the Louisianna Governor, to the New Orleans Mayor they were waiting on big government to come and save them from disaster which government, both big and little, created through both default and design.

The governor and the mayor delayed requesting assistance from the federal government in hopes they could make the Bush administration look bad.

But while people were stranded on rooftops without food or water, a progressive/liberal democrat congressman from New Orleans, one William Jefferson, commandeered a military response vehichle to retreive $75,000.00 in cold hard cash from the deep freeze in his home.

And no, Jefferson wasn't going to use the cool cash to provide food, clothing, medicine and shelter for the constituents who lived on his progressive plantation.

William Jefferson originally was found guilty by a Virginia jury on 11 of 16 corruption charges.

Jefferson, 62, was convicted of soliciting bribes, money laundering, depriving citizens of honest services as a member of Congress and turning his congressional office into a racketeering enterprise.

I am sure Jeffersosn will claim that it was all for the children.
